Finally !!! Barbara is my all time favorite. She needs to get the recognition she deserves. Get her out in the sun and tell her story. She's a beauty hands down.
I absolutely love this notchback barracuda, has always been one of my favorites, growing up an older teenager had a blue one with the crager 50ies on the back, it was the 70ies and it looked perfect and was one of the cars 🚗 that got me into cars 🚗... Thank you Barb..
Hello from South Dakota!!!...Out of all years of Barracuda the 69 is by far the top favorite of mine...The styling, design, and aggressive appearance are all unique to this 69 which is what attracts me to it...This is a car you don't see very often and why I look forward to seeing it complete.
My neighbor bought a new 69 Roadrunner with the 383 4spd and dog dish hubcaps. Looked like the same color as your Cuda. It was a fast and fun car to cruise and drag race on Main Street in Jacksonville FL.
My uncle still has his 66 Belvedere he bought it brand new and 66 in Oakland California. In fact, the family that had Plymouth dealer ran the Melrose missile race car. They lived across the street from my uncle and my dad. My uncle still has its 66 Belvedere, British race and green, at one point he had Tommy the Greek re-spray the car with lacquer. I think this was in the mid 70s he still has the car he just recently about five years ago restored the whole thing I’ll send you guys some pictures of it on Instagram.
I love everything about that car it is beautiful i love the color i had a nova i bought in 1978 it was a 72 close to that color it was also a green on green car as soon as i bought it i sanded it all doen at work and primed it dupont 80s red oxcide primer and drove it that way for 2 years then i painted it code 10 corvette white it was so white it would blind you in the sun. Now id love to have another nova id paint it green with a black vinyl top.
What a sweet ride! 383 Big Block and a 4 speed! OMG! Your car, your choice, but please don't put that vinyl top back on it. I get you wanting it original, but they promote rust like crazy and you have to glue it down. Crimeny! It would be a shame to ruin the paint underneath it. It looks so beautiful the way it is right now. Headers seem to always give you a headache! Great video Guys!
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I agree,,,,,,Be original and practical,,,,The sun will destroy that vinyl top....Exchange the top back to its manufacturer for something else,,,,,SHIT its already there , guess its goin on the car......ANYWAY............The notchback cuda is unique ,,,keep her unique to you , the rebuilder.......Back in 1979 I worked in a major body shop in Bklyn NY .....One of the tow truck drivers [ Frankie Fish ] had that same style cuda ; his was blue , 340 stick....I dug the way he would tear up the street...............he made that car special.....And leave the green door panels,,,,,They look great.........
What a Gnarly Barracuda, love the green, once you fix the header gaskets you're going to have to blast Barracuda by Heart, that new engine is a thing of beauty. Looking forward to hearing it run. Just bought one of the vintage t shirts.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I was born a chevy man ; But I'd take that cuda over any common GM product........I'm tired of seein the same old , same common , stuff all over , all the time......At 73 and still building that is how it gets.................Screw all the plastic throw away engineered cars of today........The FEDS dictate how a vehicle will be made......Screw the jellyback , Ralph Nader who destroyed the Corvair....................I have the right to love , and the right to hate........I keep myself apart and away from what and those that annoy..................
That baby is tuned perfect you can hear it by just the way it sounds the way it has that chop that thing is running good nice job Dan on the car man really really really really really looks good
Your Tempest used to be my favourite car, now it's the Barracuda for sure! 383 with a 4-speed! So clean and nice too. You have to make more videos of Barbara!
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what's a pushrod lathe ???............................................................................................................................................................
Bonus Friday upload! Was awesome to hear Barbara the Barracuda, thanks for firing her up! It's been 3 months since I started my 78 Bronco project, getting me motivated to do the same even though it has carburetor issues at the least, but still starts and runs ok ish 😊. My Bronco has a passenger side exhaust manifold leak too. Nice engine stand, I noticed you already made a custom mod, the Gnarly Speed Shop decal of course! I need to order a couple of those myself. Push rod mods, as Derek from VGG would say, "if it works, is it a dumb idea?" Danny, you are very creative with figuring things out with the tools you have. Have fun finalizing the engine build guys! Take your time to do it right as always, look forward to hearing the big block Mopar come to life. If it's Tuesday, awesome, if it's later, still awesome! 🍻 I love the 90's retro merch. I've never heard of anyone doing this, thats awesome of you Liv! 🍻
Hello from pa , that's one really nice Plymouth, can't wait to hear that big block mopar run , you two make the perfect couple. PS Liv's beautiful as always ❤❤❤
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Is that a Dana rear??????????? .......built to last and love..........................................................................
Hey guys, tow truck Terry from rust Doctor's garage. I have a stand just like this. The only problem I have with it is a cherry picker. Will not straddle it and put your engine in place.
..........................Thanks for that update,,,,,,,I'd rather buy that summit stand,,,,just don't have the time to plot and weld something up......I got a cheapo Harbor Freight cheerypicker,,,,,,I could slice the support beams in four places to widen it , kick em out 4 inches on each side ; then weld in gusset plates to reinforce what metal was removed.......Being sure not to widen too much ; still need it to roll under a vehicles front suspension........
Your girl didn't want to show us the whole car, you know when we're looking at it from a tiny phone, it's already hard to see the whole scope of this beautiful car, so please in the future, let us see all of this beautiful ride, thank you
My dad had a 66 barracuda with the 273…. In fact he was telling me he was one of the first people to have BFGoodrich radial tires, when they first came out…
They put it like that on that stand because the Flywheel spinning that's why it's not out in the open usually you're running electric water pumps and nothing spinning in front of the motor
I would be focusing on the "Cuda" it's so much further along than the charger, that's where the 512 should be. And OB the 383 to a 413/426/440. Everyone is always trying to do a charger....but a 69 Barracuda it would be a beast, that body. You think the charger turns heads, but a Cuda...you'd do a double take and just drool. It's still not too late. Don't know why it's taking a back seat. It would easily do 10s. I just tune in recently so I know I've missed something. CUDA IS GNARLY🤙
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,super unique...........................................................................................................................few of a kind = KEEPER......The cars will outlive the humans ; Pick one and enjoy your life......
I have the CVF bracket and pully set up looks great but was a bitch shimming and i needed to ɓuy there power steering pump and ac compressor to work with those brackets it also put my ac compressor to high where it wont fit under my stock hood
Barbara is a pretty girl and a rare one at that. She sounds bad. Nice car. Legendary calls that style of vinyl top grain “boar grain”. They gave it a name when they started reproducing it years ago. The “gator grain” is a different style of vinyl top grain and that is the name Chrysler gave it. I’m an old school Mopar guy. The saddle interior looks great in the car. Cool, did you know there's a difference between a 383 & 383 magnum, has 440 rods in it, called a RB for raised block. And as far as the engine stand, the new LS heads, exhaust manifold is NOT reverse able. Just a note. And the green looks great! And Olivia should have her owen shirt called Bang-a-gone! Looking real good! I've never seen push rods like that before.

That’s the color combo of the’69 Roadrunner that I had….dark green/light brown interior
Get that beautiful Barricuda to the beach!!!🏖️

i would run metal gaskets oem metal usually last. make sure header flange is level and smooth. ive taken mine and just planed them on flat cement.
Barb's color combo is so sexy. Love that interior as much as the paint!! 👌🤙

So. That's mopar orange on that engine. Right 🤷🏽♂️ very cool . I'm hearing clacking 🤷🏽♂️
O---- ----- --- -----🤷🏽♂️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎
Use remflex graphite exhaust gaskets. They seal all the time first time 😅
The 67 is one nice ride man nice nice😅

That s a beautiful car
This is awesome - I got one just like it! (not as shiny, though)
Yes Sir!!!
Have y'all ever thought of offering mens tank tops, sleeveless shirts? It was 80 today and this is winter in South Florida -imagine the summer
omg you should have put those in a lath for squareness. wow !!!
You see what a good paint job looks like ...Just think what a good paint job would look like on the Pontiac
Are you guys gonna go to Las Vegas for the muscle car mayhem in March?
My 70 cuda used to make the same noise same engine same side. It was a lifter
They put it like that on that stand because the Flywheel spinning that's why it's not out in the open usually you're running electric water pumps and nothing spinning in front of the motor
It takes money to build perfection
A smoke gun is a great way to find exhaust leaks.. Regards from Ody Slim

I use an automotive stethoscope. Works like a champ to pinpoint odd noises and only 10-12 bucks.
I have the CVF bracket and pully set up looks great but was a bitch shimming and i needed to ɓuy there power steering pump and ac compressor to work with those brackets it also put my ac compressor to high where it wont fit under my stock hood
He originally had a 383 just like this motor
3 months don't think I have started one of my cars in triple that time.
What Sort of work do both do
What’s so rare about her is it a fs car with a big block I see it’s standard and a 69 buy the looks of hood unless a 68
Glad it's just a exhaust leak.
Barbara is a pretty girl and a rare one at that. She sounds bad. Nice car.

Wish l could find another 66 Dodge cornet coupe l put a motor l belt that was getting 565 hp out of had to sale it years ago

Hey u gotta put the center caps back on big wave looks better
Now i now where to get carbs rebuilt 😂
👍👍👍
I agree do not put vinyl top car .what is the price of car I do not know why there is no way to reach you guys
Just curious…what are your other jobs….?
❤
That car is perfect!
Yeah that's just an exhaust leak that's common with them headers you can't even hear from the back
I know you probably don’t wanna sell the barracuda but if you did how much you want for it?

I've never seen push rods like that before.
Such a shame to see such a beautiful machine like that just set!
I’m saying a header gasket is not good….😢
❤❤😁🔥🇱🇷
Olivia, it's Okay for a Chevy/ Pontiac girl to call a Nopar engine a, Clown engine.😊
