The real treasure is the black lung we got along the way
Miners get black lung because they’re cutting coal, filling the air with dust day after day for 30 years! These guys didn’t even get dirty faces. 😂

Great video footage of the gas detector going off it just shows how dangerous these are at any moment .
It looked like there may have been some gannister in there.

Highlighting the invisible dangers of a flooded mine. It's probably why nobody has been in since it closed.
I think we also know why all that old gear was left behind. They must have got a similar alarm and legged it too.
