These would be great as “work” glasses for remodel jobs, painting, high risk yard work, etc. Also for families who can’t afford appts.and glasses. And for people in countries with low access to care and funds. Teachers could use them to find out if their students performance issues may be related vision. Maybe on the beach or hiking, to avoid risking expensive RX glasses. It’s basically like the refraction lens options at the optometrist, but attached to a frame.

I got an $800 pair of Tom Fords with the new Gen Transition lenses added, anti-glare, etc. These glasses are incredible, I was looking at these cheap glasses, they may work for some people as an alternative, but for me they’d likely be a worse option. So in my case, the more expensive the better.
If they’re good for work I would like them, just got my MK lens crafters glasses this summer, and very pricey I should of gotten bifocals. It’s hard for me to read the blood tubes in the lab and the computer. I have to take them off or slide them down my nose .

I purchased 3 pairs of these IN GOOD FAITH based on their false advertisement but when I got them, they were absolute garbage. The quality is very cheap, and I could not get any of them to focus properly. The company offered me 50% discount to keep three pairs of junk glasses I cannot use or pay for shipping in order to get a refund. Absolutely ridiculous that it has to cost me money to return the garbage they sell and falsely advertise. I hope that CZcams that claim to care about misinformation removes their Ads so that no more people get victimized by this company.
The great thing about them is that they work for anyone. Have one or two of these in your house and whenever someone visits and forgot or lost their glasses you can lend them these.
The good news is that someone will improve on this idea and make them better and nicer looking.
Hopefully, they will improve the styles.

Thank you for this unbiased review! I'm just now hearing about these glasses and was considering getting a pair. So in 2017, they were $20. Now, a company called Hiro Vision is selling them at a "50% discount" of $60. So they bought them at wholesale (or below) and apparently are selling them at a markup of 3x retail. That's scummy. I would buy them for $20. But I'm not going to get them from a knock off company or from someone with an overstocked warehouse.

I use the original dial vision all the time. I ordered some knock-offs at a cheaper price and they're like trying to see through a plastic pop bottle.
Since you wear the ORIGINAL DIAL VISION all the time, I wonder if it cause dizziness, headache, sore eye... anything like that ? Thanks in advance, for I am interested in getting a pair, for everyday use -- nearsightedness and reading / detail work (close up).
Yep I got taken.
I've had mine about a year. Works pretty well. Cheaply made but still working. I adjust them often for close up and distance. The adjustments still work fine. I wipe the outside glasses and leave the in between area alone. It takes a few minutes to go through the adjustment when you first take them out of the box but I can now do it in seconds. If they don't do anything for you They are probably not adjusted right. Follow the instructions. Mine work. I give them 3 stars, ok but quality could have been better. I can see the tv much better with them. Not $200 glasses but didn't cost that either.
They are also great for folks having cataract surgery in both eyes, as you typically have one eye done, and then X days later you do the other eye. And then, after both surgeries are done-you need a new eye prescription you have to wait a long time (months). These are great in that you can still see during that timeframe where one eye surgery is done and the other is not. and then again after the second eye is done while you are waiting for healing to complete so that you can go get permanent glasses again.

When I saw these being advertised online, I thought it was odd that they didn’t show one person actually wearing these glasses! If you look at the pictures of people, happily reading, and doing things, they are not wearing these glasses! I was afraid of what they would look like, so I did not order them and came to CZcams and thankfully here you are!

Would you recommend for computer? My glasses at the computer don’t work they way they do with just regular far sight seeing. I have to actually pull my regular glasses off my face by an inch to bring letter on screen into focus.

Are they adjustable enough to use as monovision (one eye for close, one for far away)?
Just got new glasses this year for the first time in 4 years, and decided to splurge on a pair of matching prescription sunglasses. Now I have trouble remembering to switch to my indoor glasses when I go into stores. I’m pretty sure if I wore THOSE glasses into a store, folks’d look at me even funnier than they do now. Lol. It seems quite handy for home use. My one eye is +3.00 while the other sits at -0.75 - it's a heckuva challenge to keep both eyes in focus. Adjustable lenses might be a solution
I thought the same thing, but I don’t think the distance sight and near site would work with his glasses while driving when you’re constantly looking at the distance in front of you and then looking at your dashboard read out

What range of adjustment do they have? Do they cover both negative and positive diopter powers? I see they provide no correction for astigmatism.

Oh they won’t. I think they will keep them like this forever. Cuz if they perfect them the glasses industry would lose billions. Cuz people would only buy one or 2 pair and that will be it forever.
I think it’s a great idea I’m gonna buy a pair and try em for sure.
But as for them perfecting them and styling them I doubt it.
It would be great if they do cuz that will actually help everyone who need glasses and don’t wanna spend almost $1k on a pair of damn glasses plus the visit and the prescription it’s stupid pricey. And then you go to a place like Americas best and they screw up your glasses over and over and over smh it’s happen to me I know. Lol terrible. So I lost over $500 on jacked up glasses and couldn’t get my money back from that terrible company.
This is a great review. I have similar issues that you do, with the multiple ghost deal. Thanks, this is what I was looking for. Oh, and I also most forgot, I'm wondering if these glasses would be hard to clean. As you know, regular glasses are difficult to keep clean.
Cool idea and everything but could definitely use some serious upgrades such as maybe somehow making the entire lens adjustable and having different frame styles for sure.

My issue is one eye prescription is different from the other. My vision changes depending on the amount of light. Might be worth getting for certain situation like reading in low light, watching TV, or going to the movies.

I do works on computer , number of eye vary every six month, is this spectacle useful for near vision ?

I would think the purpose of these glasses is eliminating the need for having many reading glasses of strengths ranging from +1.00 to +4.50. Using them instead of actual prescription glasses for far vision is a bad idea due to peripheral vision. Hopefully these are good for hobbyists, mechanics, etc. - those that need the ability to focus from arm's length to an inch in front of the nose.
Somone needs to make a high quality strong pair of these. The idea is great.

There was a company called Superfocus about 10 years ago. They didn't make it, went bankrupt, had a lot of funding. They were $600 and worked perfectly...I had a pair. They were very, very ugly.

These probably wouldn't be Ideal fort that. An Optovisor with about a 3x lens would be better.

These are total junk. Cheap plastic, feel like the free glasses you get at a 3D movies. Adjusters don’t work at all. Total, total waste of money. Don’t even consider them.

Is it available in number range of 18 to 22? We have high numbers in eyes so need any glasses which thinner too, so give me any advice, any regarding suggestions will appreciates thanks in advance.
I saw an ad for these on another CZcams video I was watching, so I searched for a review on them and found your video. KUDOS to you for your honest review of them. I too do not like the way they look, what with the resemblance to the old "Coke bottle" style lenses. One thing you did not mention was: When you were driving and you had the dials set for distant vision, how was the clarity of them when you needed to look at your dash instruments, e.g. the speedometer and other dials / instruments?
These might be ok for doing special tasks around the house if you temporarily need something stronger. You can dial it in for sharpness on the tiny task you need. But they would not work if you need a stronger than +3 prescription. Maybe you could wear them and adjust them over your regular glasses for a temporary fix? Most would do well to just buy some fixed magnification at the store so they do not look so unusual in public. Get one pair for driving and one for reading and maybe another that are in between that can do both in a pinch. I did that when I broke my regular glasses. It was a hassle using different glasses and carrying around two pair. Most should just fork out the bucks and get progressive lenses so to see with perfect vision at every distance. Here is the limit on these glasses power wise.

Thank you so much for this review. They seem to work like binoculars, which is fine. I wouldn't mind if they are not fashionable. However your review of night driving isn't so great and they seem to be small in regards to the lenses. Also, I don't like seeing streaky lights at night while driving. Great review!!!!!

Are these glasses OK for distance vision? I was born with Nystagmus and Astigmatism and
would really like to drive. But with my current prescription, I am not able.

Dont use driving if peripheral is blurred! I have probs watching tv due to medication & feel I need 3 pairs of specs. Would this work or does peripheral cause probs with wide-screen tvs?
Great review! Yes look bad but in an emergency...why not have a pair. But what do they hold for the future of glasses? Maybe a contact lens that can be adjusted via iphone app? I have Monovision via Lasik. So these would help on those days I get dry eye blur in the mornings.
Can these specs be used as zoom in and zoom out lenses instead of prescribed glasses like
Four years ago I was at the eye doctor and was asked if I wanted to help with the development of a product. A kind Asian man who was working on making this type of glasses for children in need asked questions and ran tests while I wore them. Basically I was at the eye doctor for an extra hour but got paid $15 to do so.
How would they work on something like close up work on electronic parts, for example, a microcontroller has tiny writing on the ports you need to plug into. My normal reading glasses don't give me enough magnification to see the writing clearly, would these glasses work as magnification glasses?

Just bought a pair today, so thanks for the review. Like a previous comment, I've had a retina detachment surgery and then a cataract surgery, with a single lens. My eyes are still healing and my original glasses are varifocal, so I'm struggling to see through them now. If that wasn't bad enough, recently diagnosed with cancer means chemo is on the way and was told your vision, alter with the treatment, so in my case a new prescription pair is at least 6+months into the future, so hopefully these will be ideal in the interim.
@Freakin’ Reviews Freakin’ great review. Stumbled upon this video researching these for my mother who has nightmare vision at different levels in either eye that fluctuate like the weather. So my fingers are crossed 🤞about these. I seen another review that said the older ones that were called instant 20/20 Were great but the new ones SUCK. Have you any clue to the validity of this statement?

I started to see double vision (of objects) due to reduced number in one of the eyes and risky in driving. I am hesitating if the dial glasses can resolve the double vision while driving and especially at night.
These would be good back-up. Everyday use?
Where can you get these glasses?
Ok. I've used a variety of these, literally for years. Great for watching television, great for finding my regular glasses ( when I set them down while preoccupied with other things) great for computer work as you adjust them for more comfort, less eye strain, than one's prescription glasses.
HOWEVER, I strongly advise against trying to wash them. The pair that I tried to clean retained liquid between the sliding surfaces and I never had them right after that. Maybe you can figure out a way to do it successfully.
Overall, I have a pair for t.v. and a spare in the drawer. As you say, they cannot correct to perfect 20/20, but close enough to use as back ups for reading and distance.
There seems to be a wide variety of views on these, but mostly terrible, it has to be said.
As there is no way to really get between the lenses, cleaning with a liquid could be problematic. I tend to just wipe the outer lenses off with a cloth.
