Cav congratulations you earned this current life style by BLOOD, SWEAT, and TEARS!!! Plus helping people!!!!

Great topic, I have served in the Army, deployed as a special operations soldier, completed a MBA and law school, and still, marriage is the hardest thing that I have ever done. Other than breathing and marriage, everything else has a planned or predetermined end date. If you are serious, there is no graduation, ETS, or retirement from marriage. Hopefully you and your mate share the same dream and direction, but if you do not, that is okay, you are marrying a different person, with different ideas, thoughts, goals, hopes, and dreams; the fact that you have committed to sharing this life together should be the unifying commonality. Of all things in marriage, respect is the most important. Marriage is not for quitters. Respect yourself, and respect your mate.
Absolutely agree. My fiancee said she was willing to make ALL the sacrifices I had been doing for the past 5 years but several years into the marriage, she changed her mind. I felt deceived but stuck with the marriage because of my vows. My dream was abandoned.
Dudes!! I agree.. former vet, 25 yr cop.Swat, uc work. Masters degree. 1 kid... married for 10 yrs and by far marriage is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I try so hard and always seem to fall short.... Hard work day in and day out. If you slack off... it goes south quick
Well said, Sir. Now I don’t feel so bad for not having attempted it. Failing at everything else I attempted, why would I think I would have succeeded in that.
Did you become a licensed attorney?

So happy for you battle!!!
Congratulations and keep pushing. Positivity is infectious. Thanks TCAV. ✌️✌️🙏🙏🙏
TCAV!!! I got engaged too!! Congratulations man!!! Let's goooooo!!
LFG‼️👊🏼
If you are planning on staying 5 years, you are not looking to start a family.... some regiments are screwed for dating... 13 DBLE and 2 REG are in the boondocks.... 2 REI has access to ladies in all directions... Montpellier, Nimes, etc etc etc... As a young legionnaire or Caporal after the first year, as long as you are not sticking around in a group of legionnaires downing beers... it is great! Other than when being deployed... or on duty... I was away 3 weekends a month, fast train up to paris.... Montpellier... there are no problems getting a girl or MILF.... After 3 years I even met the wife... She was studying in Paris, I had decided to leave after 5 years... so many a weekend with her, in her appartment in Paris... while buddies who never left the garrison complained there are no girls... life is what you make it... choose your regiment well.... Was at Camerone this year, 30 years after I left... plenty of Legionnaires with really hot looking girlfriends... even more than 30 years ago.... not far to the beach either... plenty of girls are curious about the legion.... if you are doing 5 years... the kepi can be a chick magnet...
what regiments would you recommend? the REI regiments are difficult to get for new legionnaires right?
@@bigbobabc123 decide what your priority is... I trhink the 3REI and DLEM (will be renamed 5 RE this year) you wont get to without some years service. I am biased... I wanted Military, but also access to ladies... so 2 REI was perfect. If you want to be the "best" try for corsica... for me 13 DBLE and 2 REG are really unfortunately positioned... unless you like sheep... 1 REC has an infantry companant... looks way better to me today than back then
Congratulations on the engagement. God Bless you & yours'
TCav, that stache is 🔥!!!!

🌄 Morning coffee ☕️ and story 66. Apologies! I could not respond to story 64 and 65 plus your engagement video. I was banned for 25hrs for a comment I made on utube about about a young person disrespecting the military.
Soooo. A heart felt congratulations on your engagement. I wish you both happiness and fulfillment going forward in your lives.
As always, i enjoy your military stories and insight. Great stuff.
Keep safe.
WHaaaaaaat! He got engaged. Mr Foreign Legion is settling down. Hey he’s also letting his hair go natural with the grey hair. 💯

Congratulations Bro, major milestone of life .. !
Congrats on your engagement Brother. Keep up the good work, helping to guide folks out of the dark. God blesses you, and your loved ones very richly indeed. Always Forward!
Congratulations!!! She’s very lucky. I’ve been married over a decade and we have children. Before getting married, we aligned on our views on 1) handling money and financial goals; 2) religion; 3) children; 4) how close to live to in laws.
Our agreement on these fundamental matters gave us a framework to grow and thrive together first as a team, now as a family.
Thanks bro for your support
TCAV never disappoints, excellent content delivery and on point every time!! Your mindset and philosophy will undoubtedly help anyone that is in need of direction, motivation, goals and life skills!

Thank you so much!!
Congratulations Taylor! Good for you to maintain your focus and creating your vision.❤
Thank you so much!!
Great video! Best decision I ever made was to postpone marriage until I was out, even if it meant having my first kid at 39. Fully committing to your family should your first priority in life.
Gotta type this on my phone……you are sincerely appreciated, inspirational & a true dude that gets it done. I’m fu(king proud of you & it almost brings a tear to my eye. ( I never met you ) dudes like you statistically never live to see another day. I know the feeling. Eyes on the prize & later days will amaze. Rock on my dude 🏴
I appreciate that
Congratulations 👍🏻

👊🏼
congratulations! more stories of the Legion!
Thanks! Will do!
Congrats Cav!
👊🏼
Congratulations. "It's never the wrong time to do the right thing".
I remember the guys who were married complaining while on deployment. It's as if they had their heads in 2 places, home and barracks. Also remember seeing lifers, I was thinking that it must be great here for them to be in for so long, lol. Sounds silly now!
I know you took some advice from Wes Watson and I respect that. Wes preaches the truth sobriety, being devoted to one woman, being a man that teaches other men how to be a man lol. Idk for some reason he still has hate in his heart and I can tell you don't, and honestly your just as swoll if not more. I guess im just trying to say don't change brother I can tell your truly a good man with good heart and a fuckin awesome story . Keep being TCAV , TCAV......
Both shitbags. Makes sense.
You’re videos keep my attention the whole time like no other. Not many CZcams videos are capable of doing that to me.
👊🏼
Congrats bro. Happy for you.
Hey Cav,Great story. Civilians don’t realize the concept of having to stand duty. Let alone being away training , at Sea or whatever. The Navy and Marines get the shaft. The Legion gets a big giant telephone pole
I've followed you Mr. Cavanaugh since close to the beginning when you had maybe 1k subscribers. I've always done my best to stay caught up with your content, as you are of only a few I do that with. I've watched you grow on YT am everything coming your way has been hard fought and well deserved.
I say all of this to say that I know you as someone who always has wisdom to share with me and many times it seems to hit at the time right time.
A while back you briefly touched on the importance of the company we keep and how that effects who we become and I couldn't agree more.
I will not say names as I am not looking to embarrass this individual but there is an individual whom it seems you are close with and I think is possibly from your past. I must be blunt as I only want to see you succeed but in my personal opinion he is dangerous and not in the "not to be trifled with" way but rather, he is destructive to those around him.
He has little to no control over his emotions and temperament and it would seem that he only feels tough or in control while making threats and a fool of himself.
I just don't want to see you get caught up in his nonsense some day, wrong place wrong company sort of thing. I don't see him being part of the free world much longer if he doesn't learn massive self control and how to lose his massive ego and inadequacy complex.
This is all said out of love and no disrespect. Nobody here wants to see some idiot screw things up for you boss.
Take care!
Great message, thanks. 😊
You are so welcome
Really powerful stuff - thanks TCAV :)

Congratulations!!! 💖 I love the decisiveness. Stay solid and deep!
Taylor’s telling the truth. Blows my mind but he’s there and will help you if you reach out. I don’t personally know how he has the bandwidth, but so far so good. But don’t reach out if you don’t plan to invest and do the work 😅 Real change isn’t easy fast or free
Man you are one hard core dude I wish I was as self aware as you are but I can't spend that much time in my own head and it sounds like that's where you are always
YeH, def has its pros and cons😆🤙🏼

Being a legionairre is like being a sailor, and a contractor. I'm in Iraq for 6 months have a lady in Thailand waiting. Not easy, just temporary
Congratulations ! You deserve a good woman !
Thank you!
Congrats! Looks like your doing what you want.
You KNOW! A life of purpose!
gratz man.

Taylor, you ever think about going on Shawn Ryan's podcast? I'm sure he'd love to help you tell your story.
Only four things decide a man's life. Mates, money, military service and marriage. The rest doesn't count. Congrats on closing the circle.
Well said
Congrats big man wish you all the best cheers ❤️🙏👍🦘🇦🇺🇺🇸🧌
Thank you kindly
congrats on the engagement!
Shit just got real!
I hit 10 years married next week... hard af
..but worth it for a ride or die wifey!
Man I could really use your help right now! My mom is dealing with Stage 4 cancer and I’m trying to juggle a relationship
Let's get it locked on. Email me: tcavofficial@gmail.com
Very wise words, I saw too many relationships go south, especially with the young guys, we were always deployed, training, etc and when we get back, Jody had been entertaining your girl. Not saying you cant have a relationship while your in, but it needs to be strong, don't be getting married just because you missed her for several months right out of boot camp. BTW, congratulations to you and your future bride, best news, you deserve it!
Congratulations and best of luck to you and your future wife.
Foreign Legion barracks to engaged by the pool. It's the moustache that did it for you, for sure.
Legion gettin ready to get into some serious shit.
I think I got ahead of myself 🤣. Should have slowed the fuck down
True. How can you train a little operator locked in a barracks. 🏊♂️
You think that you had it rough in the Navy and the Legion; you wait until your honeymoon is over. Best of luck, bro.
Never had a honeymoon phase bro we went right into real life.
In 1984 Mannheim FRG. They moved us company by company into temp buildings and renovated the WW2 barracks we lived in our first year which our new lineup of NCO’s had us fix up just to pass basic inspections. Our company was the last to get kicked out of our barrack building and we all decided the night before to trash it all to hell in a mad West Germany drinking fest fashion. We had 82nd airborne guys cycle in with us a few months before and they had a friendly competition of who could fix their rooms up the nicest. It was on. We spent out of pocket to spackle the cracks and paint and hang plants and Pin Stripe etc. The Senior NCO liked it so much he made us do it to the hallway and men’s room. Our Barack’s scored higher in inspections than the first renovated A-Co barracks. So we were kind of pissed we had to vacate and we trashed the place good. The next day Big-B (our 6’6” E-7 Senior NCO) saw what we had done and had a bubble-clot. He announced to us geniuses they put off our moving in to the temps because B-CO’s new barracks were behind schedule. We were hung over “AF” and were scrubbing floors on our knees and painting with the biggest hangover ever in history with Big-B and Staff hammering the sht outta us with all the other NCO’s too.. Two guys rolled ankles doing parachute Landing falls out the 2nd story windows. They worked and then had to report to sick call to get wrapped the next morning after torcher season ended. This was about a month after an earlier incident where our barracks came under investigation for grenades being thrown into the area between our building and the mechanics behind us. They weren’t grenades they were multiple M-1 Abraham’s tank simulators twisted together on commowire and plugged into the 208 outlet. Which didn’t go off right away and the dummy wannabe EOD officer in charge (someone I know who’s a friend of a friend who stayed at a Holliday inn once) was like “Oh great it didn’t detonate. Now what do I do?” Then a series of massive booms back to back to back. The Sgt. sleeping after 24 hr guard duty down below on the first floor rolled outta bed onto the stone floor was NOT happy.
Are things starting to go wonky again? Interesting video from the humble but strong and proud legionnaire about a little less than a year ago. Interested to see how this plays out. But 100% wish you the best in both life and marriage.
Things r def not wonky my life is incredible and more disciplined and successful than ever. Just watch.
@@tcavofficial good to hear brother. Repeating my best wishes and happy you replied. Hope you see why, but regardless happy to hear you are A+!
Congrats and all the best...my experience isnt good...if the army wants you to be married theyd give you one with your kit...
😆🤙🏼
Is 1 REC a good regiment for dating and being a legionaire in general?
I can't join due to health problems just asking?
Also your French medals and badges can you explain what they are?
Damn arms are fking pumped bro
Yeahh bro‼️👊🏼 let's get you on the program get your arms blasted too bro! Email me: tcavofficial@gmail.com
Taylor, love you bro. Just don’t forget the sunscreen out there!😊
That's actually a really good point. San Diego and Anaheim have the highest rates of skin cancer in the entire US.
Any kind of job where the a couple is apart is probably going to break them.
Maybe a week here and there, that's about it.
Even then.. lots of problems.
Get all of it man, you worked and payed, ain't many could get thru what you did
👊🏼
I was going to ask if it if you thought about the possibility of joining the navy reserves as a seal but after watching this video.. I guess the answer would be “hell no!” Haaa
That's the truth I hit you up all the time😂
👊🏼🏴
Interesting topic... Im curious as to the day to day living conditions? hows your room and room mates? and how do you deal with living in a dorm? which regiment has it the best?
I'll hit a vid on it

TC - best wishes with your engagement / marriage. I am guessing your fiancé , is a fitness / training pro . -- be safe ~ JDS/CT
Can you tell us what happens I you get sick during training at the legion or at the seals? Do you recover from flu and get back at the training or you start back at the bottom?
You keep training u dont get to stop bcuz youre sick
@@tcavofficial damn that's rough. I asked couse I got sick myself and couldn't even walk my head was exploding and I couldn't help but wonder what they do in this situation.

What's that watch you're wearing?

Don’t do it
Remember when i was in the legion had a girlfriend i had been on amd off with 10 yrs back home in Tennessee i never got to see her ass man cuz they took my passport so i reported it lost ordered a new one and wjen we would get leave time they would tell us to stay in France or within the surrounding areas but i would just get on the plane fly home then be back before it was time to go back but man it was hard asf i was pretty fortunate through training cuz some of those other guys had thw balls to sneak a burner phone in but if u plan on going in listen up cuz to the legion they look at it like you need them they sure dont need you and no wife, family, property,or asset's,while being a legionarie its a lonely lifestyle gents and its always cold ❄️🥶
Damn straight
