He’s not that good. He gives up a lot of weak goals. He’s lucky he plays on a team with a dynamic offense that is good at controlling possession. Having said that, the Avs won a cup with Kuemper, they can probably win one with Georgie too.
He was aight as a kid. I remember seeing him win the championship in Turku Finland in the A-junior team. And he was ok in the finnish men's league too. Never something to make you go wow but ok.
I’m a die hard Avalanche fan and I just wanted to pop in to say thanks for the nice things you said about the team. I honestly thought this series was going to go to at least 6 games and that the result wouldn’t make me a happy person. The team has so much talent and it’s sad to see them not being used to their full potential. Bowness saying he wouldn’t change a thing makes him look like a spoiled little kid. Each team needs to make adjustments from time to time. Anyway just wanted to say thank you to the Jets and their fans for making the Avs kick it into some higher gears to win this series. #GoAvsGo
Before the series Jared Bednar was asked by the media if he was concerned about losing all 3 regular season games to Winnipeg this year. His response was fantastic: “No, I’m not really concerned. They haven’t seen our team yet.” Rick Bowness needs to be fired. He got taken out to the woodshed this series. Embarrassing
The Winnipeg Jets took the nickname from the New York Jets as the two owners Ben Hatskin of Winnipeg and Sonny Werbelin of New York were friends and Sonny gave Hatskin the OK to use that nickname.
I like to think that Georgiev pronounced correctly is the NHL caliber Avs #1 goaltender we all know and love. Meanwhile, Georgiev pronounced incorrectly like George-iev is the meme version of Georgiev who's like swiss cheese in net and the fans can't stand him.
I blame primarily Bowness for this he legit said during an interview he wouldn’t change the lines no matter what (which were the bad one except 3rd those guys are great keep them together ) but when he did they worked well why couldn’t he just keep Vilardi Sheif and Ehlers top but kept pushing Connor’s to top line? who knows it’s basically what cost them the Playiffs was his lack of adapting and stubbornness To further the point when he did the last game he only did it for 2 periods and ya wanna what happened in those 2 periods? The best the jets been during the entire playoffs which then they collapsed third because he went back to the old lines even though they were one down this is mostly on his head for this and surprise surprise they collapsed Im not mad at the jets (mostly) only Bowness for being a stubborn fool his own team somewhat called him out on it as well! Well then there was the Very scary injuries with dillon and Vlady in Colorado (even Colorado fans were legitimately scared that they were seriously hurt) both of which were crucial for our offence and defence Edit: to add even more info there was a rumour that players were not very happy with the lines which at the time many assumed it was with Connor’s not playing with Sheif etc but based on the interview Bowness got it’s not to far off to assume nope the upset was more likely Sheif wanting Ehlers back on top but Bowness wouldn’t hear it
I'm a big Avs fan and had no idea that this channel existed despite following the Star Wars channel for years. Jets really fell apart, I was shocked. I thought the Avs were losing their momentum going into the playoffs but they really turned it around after game 1. I hope they can keep it up. I thought the same thing about MacKinnon, he was certainly a significant presence but some of the other guys stepped up more than usual. If that continues and MacKinnon can get more points at the same time Avs should be scary moving forward in the playoffs.
As a Jets fan I was expecting a really good playoff run this year. Lowest number of goals in the regular season, one of the best goalies in the world having a great year, some good trades, everyone healthy, we swept Colorado in the regular season, beat them 7-0 near the end of the season for home ice advantage and won the last 8 games of the season. And then this series. It is soul crushing.
The thing that should genuinely scare people is Mac, Moose and Makar have played mid. Yes, they've played mid, all 3 of them, they're saving energy for later rounds, add in when Drouin comes back... We look dangerous.
If you watch the avalanche you’ll know that mackinnon has another gear or two when he needs to. There have been games where he decides to score, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
I'd agree with you on MacKinnon and Rantanen, but not Cale. Cale has clearly elevated his game for the postseason. I put his coast-to-coast goal in Game 4 as the series-defining moment.
@@TerrenceWpg They all have combined for 6 goals with 2 apiece. If you watch the avs you'd know that they typically produce more than that especially in the playoffs. When they won the cup, mack alone had 5 against the preds in 1 less game
As a huge Avs fan- I think the loss had very little to do with Hellebuyck. He had no support. Avs played pretty damn good. But the Jets left him out to dry for real.
@@deathmachineyt3254I do agree that Canada isn’t a miserable country but the NHL commissioner isn’t helping American teams win the cup like you’re saying he does. I mean how many lottery wins did the Edmonton Oilers have? Also does often how the Canadian teams are set up that prevents them from winning the cup.
Avs fan here. Two points about this series. First, the series was decided with the second game in the way that the Avs responded. Coach Bednar must have had a pleasant but firm "What up" in the locker room after game one. My second point is that the Jets have some really good individual players, but they didn't add up to be a team when they needed to. The Avs in game one appeared to be a group of individuals , and that clearly rattled Georgy. Game two, the Avs as a team showed up.
You definitely need to have some more faith in your team, especially when it’s this Nucks team. I’m always holding out hope for my Avs to come back when they’re down by a couple goals late in the 3rd period!!!
I’ve been calling on Cheveldayoff to beg, borrow or steal big, fast and nasty defensemen ever since we lost Buff, Chairot, Myers, etc. who does he get? Pionk and Schmidt. Gak!
Its not that Winnipeg was bad, its just that Colorado went ape shit. Colorado is the only team in the league that has that extra gear, I knew as good as Helle was, he cannot stop this powerhouse
The Jets got outplayed in at least 4 of the 5 games. Colorado was just the overall better team. People say how much of a shock and surprise this is, but if you actually watched the games, the only surprise is that the Jets didn't get swept, considering how well the Avs were playing.
After game 1 I thought the Jets had a very good chance of winning, but Georgiev pulled it together after that and the Avs are just flat out stacked. I really wish they would bring back the 1-8 seeding for the playoffs. Granted a good team is going to get knocked out eventually, but a lot of these first round matchups wouldn't happen until round 2 or 3 if they went back to the old seeding.
Two things can be true. The Avs are a very good team with arguably the league's best offense; and the Jets utterly embarrassed themselves in one of the worst playoff performances in recent years.
Man I don't know what to say. On paper, the Jets should have least made a good run and I don't think that we should have let Hellybuck play after that first game collapse. Brossoit has the experience and should have at least been used against Colorado.
And another reason why I think Bowness was being a complete doofus after the first they should’ve played Broissoit give him a mental reset this has nothing to do with bad defence/goalies no this is outright stubbornness from his part he should’ve done that and changed the lines up by game 3 but nope he kept doing exactly the same thing over and over again which ended up being the teams downfall
@@WindowLickerPuddleJumper every goalie has a bad streak demko, Swayman, Ulmar, etc It’s head space hely needed a mental reset after the first game because 6 goals allowed can usually screw them up baddly plus Broissoit has been a godsend of a goalie as well so it wouldn’t affect team performance as well

I saw the writing on the wall. My father is from Winnipeg so I support the team, have the jersey and all that, but I am an Avs fan and have been for a long time. People keep saying "Man we dominated them in the regular season! WTF Happened?!" No you didn't. The team had significant blotches in its regular season that blighted the team's record. Terrible defense some games and the only thing that held the Jets up was Hellebuyk. The Avs were solidly in first or second through the season and the Jets were like a ping-pong ball. I have no clue how you Jets fans can be so hateful to such a damn champion of a goalie. That guy is legit the sole reason that got you guys there except maybe the new additions you got in December and January. The Avs during the regular season had their issues surely, but you saw a gradual increase in their abilities until they exploded and DOMINATED against the Jets in the first round. The jets had LOTS of ups and downs which doesn't bode well for playoff games, and we saw this too in the last game. They played surprisingly well (Except that own goal, ouch) but it just wasn't good enough because the Avs have much more depth and do not rely on their goalies like the Jets do. Georgiev is not as good of a goalie as Hellebuyk (He is an excellent one though) but unlike Hellebuyk he isn't the second line of defense for his team, he's the third, which is the proper place of the goalie, the last line of defense.
I’m just going to say it. The true depth star was Casey Mittelstadt. The jets could never commit to shutting down line 1 because line 2 got it done instead and Mittelstadt was the key difference maker in making that happen. Huge trade pick up by the Avs, and still totally underrated even after showing it.
I think that this proves that having elite goaltending doesn't mean squat. There always seems to be a goalie that shows up out of nowhere, but that is because of the team in front of them. The Avs are built for the Playoffs.
It’s only one series…the playoffs are long, anything can happen. If Georgie plays well again in another series or two then yeah…but until then, me thinks the biggest weakness(or maybe even, the only weakness) Colorado has is still their goaltending…kinda ballsy to say elite goaltending means squat, that’s just asking for it.
There should be a mini-Stanley cup for the team which won their division as well, so the fan got something to chew on, in case playoff doesn’t go so well.
I had a hunch that coaching was starting to become a problem in the last third of the season. With our terrible PP/PK, playing the same garbage defensemen aka Pionk and Stanley, and not giving a cup winning goalie (Brossoit) at least one game, and some absolutely boggling lineup mix ups. The last game of the series was the closest I’ve seen them go at it for their style of play and it was just too little too late. Av’s are a fantastic team with some real studs, but I don’t think we should’ve gone down as easy as we did. Gg’s, I hope we make some good changes in the off season.
As of now, Hellebuyck leads the playoffs in Shots, Saves, and Goals Against. Where was the D? Had a bad feeling when the Jets lit up the Avs 7-0 at the end of the season.
absolutely he is...that said, when he gave up 6 in game 1, I thought the Avs were done, but to G's credit, he woke up, bounced back in a huge way and played like the goalie they needed. If he continues playing like he did from game 2 on, the Avs have a legit chance of taking it all.
I’ve recently talked about this to my friend before, I have said the Jets team was really good, but a regular season game doesn’t really display a lot, the playoffs can change players a huge amount, watching the first game was when the Jets were falling apart, even after the Avalanche lost the first round, they put up six goals against Conner and that say a lot, ever since then, they put 5 or more goal in every game, not a single team in this playoffs could of put 5 or more goal in 5 or more games.
Great vid Eck, I've been telling people to watch out for Nichushkin because he I believe, is our complete through and through X-factor. He just continues to connect the dots just like when we won the cup not that long ago. Any time someone would ask me who my favorite player was I'd say Sakic, and I still will, but I will definitely add #13 to that very short list. Never thought I'd see a Russian ninja in my day but here we are. (other than Arshavin for Arsenal #COYG)
The avs have some of the greatest offensive firepower in the league. They were the better team, Winnipeg’s defence got picked apart by an elite offensive team
colorado came to play in the playoffs jets didnt , regular season means fuck all ,if Georgie didnt shit the bed in game one jets would of been golfing in 4 games not 5
100%_no one seems to mention this….after what was a great game against Rangers on Mar 29th, a top team…they lost 6 straight to weaker teams …devils 4-1, isles 6-3, caps 3-0, then oilers 4-3, knights4-1, Sens 3-2. Yes, Oils and knights good teams, but point being that they should have rolled over the others, in this stretch. A pattern in second half of season getting horribly outshot by 2:1 margin by end of second in most games. I recall in isles game shots like 26-4 with 9 mins left in 2nd…really, 4 shots in hdd as of a game? This was huge issue in giving up too many chances and not making enough for themselves….same thing against Avs in playoffs. The late season win streak and 7-0 won on Avs gave them false confidence they were better than they were/are ( fans also) and did not go into playoffs either sense of urgency mentally,,,got shell shocked , and was over by time they figured this out …..best defense is smothering offence as shown by Avs, chasing game vs dictating game - hard core jets fan
I was rooting for the jets in this series but I honestly think the avs were just too much for them to handle. They are firing on all cylinders and are looking very dangerous.
I’m sorry but you are out of mind if you think that they should have beaten the Avalanche. That is the most exciting team to watch in my lifetime (except maybe my Sabres in 06 and 07) when they are rolling…. And they are!
All of Winnipeg is pissed. We have a group of pushovers who lose a game and give up. The Jets have gone out on 4 straight losses in 5 of our 6 playoff appearances.
At tje beginning wasmt sure what you were talking about playing against Rado with one of the best players in the last ten years in Nathan. Yes goal tending is goal tending. Sounding shocked? I don't know! Thank you for what you said in last 35 Secs though sounds right
I mean from a talent perspective Nichuskin Rantannen Mackinnon and even Lehkonen has stepped up Jets had no chance Colorado can make another deep run but only if Georgiev can be consistent
The ironic thing is, it happens to Winnipeg way to many times and not very many other places , I understand why people crap on the city all the time now I know why because unless you have good fortune and good things happen I don’t think peoples attitudes towards the city will change until something happens like them winning a Stanley Cup
I could not disagree more. This was or at least should have been expected as the numbers defensively over the season arguably are due to great goaltending and not the weak d-line the Jets have had for years. It is more a smoke screen then anything else. Chevy has to go and before the draft since he can't be bothered to ever address actual team needs. Fire power was not the problem in Winnipeg, The Jets every year are one of the worst teams for consistency. The only thing they actually seem to be consistent at more then actual cup contenders is taking long stretches of games off and leaving goaltenders to bail them out. Hellebuyck is always burned out at the end of the year and then not great in the playoffs. Because they refuse to build an actual blue line. This group is full of 5-6 level d-men playing more minutes then they ever should.
@@joshharrison9054 dude he was not good enough, even watching him play he was shaky and let in objectively bad goals. Yes the team was bad and Helle wasn't as bad as the stats show, but he 100% deserves part of the blame.
Colorado and Edmonton have explosive players that just can’t be contained. Doesn’t matter how goid you are defensively during regular season. Every power play in the playoffs are a way different stake
Maybe the Jets thought they were playing the Avs team that was shutout by the Jets in the regular season. Maybe overconfident. Bowness and his line changes couldn't match Bednar. Like i mentioned to a Jets fan, you haven't seen playoff MacKinnon.
What were people actually expecting? The Avs are winners and actual contenders. Teams get found out in the playoffs. That's what happened here. I picked Avs in 6, so 5 shows me they're getting to that level you need to be at in the playoffs.
The Avs were more focused, maybe that's because of their playoff experience. They set the tone in the first minutes of game 1 and never gave the Jets any chance. To me it seemed the Jets were not prepared for the aggressive forechecking at all, they never had an answer for the Avs transition and they did not seem to want to win as much as the Avs. If your team is not as fast and does not make that many great plays, then you need to answer with physicality. The Avs even had more hits than the Jets in all games. Consider guys like Trenin, Lehkonen, Wood or Nishushkin, they gave 130%, performed so well during the series. That's the main difference. As a Jets fan I can only admit, that the better and higher motivated team won. Next season, next chance...
There's a psychological human need to identify a villain when an unwanted and embarrassing outcome occurs. I feel for many Connor Hellebuyck is filling this need -- unfairly. Was he sparkling? No. I think you could argue maybe 2 to 4 goals (out of the 28!) were ones you'd like to see him stop. But come on. The man faced a shooting gallery. Where was his help?
This is the thing I hate about sports media and certain fan bases I hate when a team that isn't supposed to be a playoff team has a fantastic regular season and then underperforms in the playoffs when they're historically bad in the playoffs and then we asked the question they did this right they did that right they did this right they did that right why didn't they do in the postseason it's because they have no experience and they have no veterans to show them the way and that's how you lose in the first round of the playoffs even though you destroy the competition in the regular season
Ok but the Jets do have veterans. Lowry, Scheifele, Hellebyuck, Toffoli, all have playoff experience. And this wasn’t a fluke season, they played well last season too and lost to the eventual champions. The Jets played well under their potential this series, it was gross. Let’s not forget the Jets were undefeated against the Avs all season, even beating them 7-0 with 3 games to go in the regular season. The Jets underperformed and especially their defence was just horrendous. I don’t even blame Hellebyuck, he had the most saves in the playoffs and still let in the most goals, guy was too stretched out. Maybe if they put Brossoit in even game 4 or 5 the Jets would be playing in Colorado tomorrow.
It may be a case of the Avs being awesome. However, it was weird to see a really good defensive team suddenly unable to play defense. Is that a coaching problem? Also, Hellebuyck has only won one playoff series in his career. And I believe that was his first one. You'd think a perennial Vezina candidate would steal a series here or there, let alone a game.
First time watchin this hockey stuff after dabling in some swiss league games, picked these Jet fellers as the team to back at the beginning of the season and I'm happy with my choice... Never saw actual jets skatin around though so that was a let down
bad coaching, terrible PK and PP, thin defense. Avs are a great team and I think it only shows how flawed our game was, we never really made their offense work hard.
GM Chevy’s M.O. = wash rinse dry, repeat season after season after season. Jets’ co-owners don’t care about winning a Stanley Cup, only to make a tidy annual profit while its 2010 purchase price of $68 M appreciates to $800 M today. Jets fans will continue to renew their season tickets hoping that within seven years (the term of the rich $8.5 M contract extensions gifted to playoff chokers Hellebuyck and Scheifele), some miracle will occur.
Hellebuyck winning the Vezina is going to be pure gallows humor. Also, when can we start calling Winnipeg the Leafs of the West? They also have a very solid group of core players who don't give a fuck the second the playoffs start. Schiefele and Conner are absolutely fleecing that franchise.
Jets are used to being ignored and undermined but only true Jets fan will notice how much they didnt even show up for this series. As a fan I can say with certainty that for some unknown reason, they were more interested in polishing their golf clubs than hoisting Lord Stanley's Cup this year 🤷🏼💯😴
Was worried about the track meet style of the first game, and that Colorado would edge the Jets if both teams played that way. So Bowness' answer was to just stop playing, I guess

#GoAvsGo
Let’s bring that cup home again
Before the series Jared Bednar was asked by the media if he was concerned about losing all 3 regular season games to Winnipeg this year. His response was fantastic: “No, I’m not really concerned. They haven’t seen our team yet.”
Rick Bowness needs to be fired. He got taken out to the woodshed this series. Embarrassing
are they? or did they just simply get beat by a wicked team
As a NY Jets fan,
We both Suck
LMAO
The Winnipeg Jets took the nickname from the New York Jets as the two owners Ben Hatskin of Winnipeg and Sonny Werbelin of New York were friends and Sonny gave Hatskin the OK to use that nickname.
The second year in a row where they win Game 1 and then proceed to lose the next 4 games.
sounds like hockey
@pinpointism sounds like True North hockey to me..
Every time I hear someone pronounce Georgiev’s name like you did I die a little inside.
its correct
Just call him Georgie...it's his nickname *(He said it himself in an interview)
I like to think that Georgiev pronounced correctly is the NHL caliber Avs #1 goaltender we all know and love.
Meanwhile, Georgiev pronounced incorrectly like George-iev is the meme version of Georgiev who's like swiss cheese in net and the fans can't stand him.
@@marcdimartino9118you cooked
Every time I see people pronounce those names with the Gs as Js, I want to mock them with Italian accents.
I blame primarily Bowness for this he legit said during an interview he wouldn’t change the lines no matter what (which were the bad one except 3rd those guys are great keep them together )
but when he did they worked well why couldn’t he just keep Vilardi Sheif and Ehlers top but kept pushing Connor’s to top line?
who knows it’s basically what cost them the Playiffs was his lack of adapting and stubbornness
To further the point when he did the last game he only did it for 2 periods and ya wanna what happened in those 2 periods? The best the jets been during the entire playoffs which then they collapsed third because he went back to the old lines even though they were one down this is mostly on his head for this and surprise surprise they collapsed
Im not mad at the jets (mostly) only Bowness for being a stubborn fool his own team somewhat called him out on it as well!
Well then there was the Very scary injuries with dillon and Vlady in Colorado (even Colorado fans were legitimately scared that they were seriously hurt) both of which were crucial for our offence and defence
Edit: to add even more info there was a rumour that players were not very happy with the lines which at the time many assumed it was with Connor’s not playing with Sheif etc but based on the interview Bowness got it’s not to far off to assume nope the upset was more likely Sheif wanting Ehlers back on top but Bowness wouldn’t hear it
Punctuation doesn’t exist to this guy

Completely agree
You guys look dangerous yes but Mak was definitely not playing mid lol
If you watch the avalanche you’ll know that mackinnon has another gear or two when he needs to. There have been games where he decides to score, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
I'd agree with you on MacKinnon and Rantanen, but not Cale. Cale has clearly elevated his game for the postseason. I put his coast-to-coast goal in Game 4 as the series-defining moment.
How did they play mid lol they were literally putting up a 1.8 ppg, which is higher than all their career averages.
Right?! You have to think that his confidence diminished with each following game.
Hate to see it.
Awe. Poor Canada. Talk about a miserable country.
@elitetrader5468 wouldn't say miserable. But atleast we don't got the help of the NHL commissioner to get cups.
Playoff Avs are just a different animal this year. 22 vibez
Lord Stanley's Battle Royale is something ive never heard it described as before and im down with that ☠️
My Canucks will be joining them on the golf course here soon, we are either gonna choke against Nashville or lose in 5 to Edmonton
Hopefully you guys win against Nashville, excited to see Oilers X Canucks
Buddy you got to have hope, the canucks are a good team, they are making it through, have faith in Shilov
You must be fun
You definitely need to have some more faith in your team, especially when it’s this Nucks team. I’m always holding out hope for my Avs to come back when they’re down by a couple goals late in the 3rd period!!!
My Leafs, too
Didn't Biz say a player called them frauds?
I think not having Barron on the Jets made a big whole defensively.
I couldn't believe the amount of people betting on Jets to beat the Avs in Playoffs that was crazy. Easy Money for me.
Yeah bench the Vezina Cup winning goalie good call coaCH YA FUCKING GENIUS LOL
@@WindowLickerPuddleJumper every goalie has a bad streak demko, Swayman, Ulmar, etc
It’s head space hely needed a mental reset after the first game because 6 goals allowed can usually screw them up baddly plus Broissoit has been a godsend of a goalie as well so it wouldn’t affect team performance as well
@@titanjakob1056 Who are you to speak of Helly's head space? Are you his phycologist? He gets paid millions and has many losses and deals with it like any pro would...he shakes it off and tries to come out better. No coach in history will bench a Vezina Cup winning goalie especially after one of his best years cause you know why? Brossoit comes in and loses like we would have ...and the COACH IS INSTA FIRED for making such a dumb call. Brossoit is the backup for a reason. Helly Vezina winner for a reason. GOT IT COACH SHRINK?
@@WindowLickerPuddleJumpercope so hard. Show us vezina numbers and you win that argument . Bones is gone because of the decision to go with Hella suck
I saw the writing on the wall.
My father is from Winnipeg so I support the team, have the jersey and all that, but I am an Avs fan and have been for a long time.
People keep saying "Man we dominated them in the regular season! WTF Happened?!"
No you didn't.
Lehkonen is always impressive in playoffs. Last time avs won the cup he had 4 GWGs
There should be a mini-Stanley cup for the team which won their division as well, so the fan got something to chew on, in case playoff doesn’t go so well.
"Pull your goalie!" Well, so Avs just decided to score 5+ on every game.
It sure gave them lots to look at on the pre-scout.
Bring the Cup back to Denver!!! Go Avs!
"The Jets are a disappointment" and the sun is hot. Move them back to Atlanta, already.
Like I said before, Georgiev is a good goalie, albeit inconsistent. People were a little too quick to pile on after one bad game
absolutely he is...that said, when he gave up 6 in game 1, I thought the Avs were done, but to G's credit, he woke up, bounced back in a huge way and played like the goalie they needed. If he continues playing like he did from game 2 on, the Avs have a legit chance of taking it all.
I've always said the exact same. He's either Roy or swiss cheese on any given day.
Said from start Bowness good defensive coach not a team lead coach
I’ve recently talked about this to my friend before, I have said the Jets team was really good, but a regular season game doesn’t really display a lot, the playoffs can change players a huge amount, watching the first game was when the Jets were falling apart, even after the Avalanche lost the first round, they put up six goals against Conner and that say a lot, ever since then, they put 5 or more goal in every game, not a single team in this playoffs could of put 5 or more goal in 5 or more games.
As a Winnipeg fan living here, this is no surprise, same results every year.
Last few shots on net looked like golf swing postures...nice
Bowness disasterclass honestly
Not a disappointment for a avs fan like me😊 that win y’all had, 7-0 against us, means sh*t
This is a shock to absolutely nobody
Jets ran into a buzzsaw while shitting the bed at the same time. Predictable outcome.
Weird how playoffs hit and they lose to a team they beat thru the regular season…what changed?
especially that 7-0 destruction!
colorado came to play in the playoffs jets didnt , regular season means fuck all ,if Georgie didnt shit the bed in game one jets would of been golfing in 4 games not 5
"Pull the goalie!"
The Jets looked like crap since the All-Star break. Not sure wtf happened.
Jets with back to back reverse sweeps after winning game 1 in the playoffs
Gentleman sweeps
A reverse sweep would be losing three and then coming back to win 4 straight.
I was rooting for the jets in this series but I honestly think the avs were just too much for them to handle. They are firing on all cylinders and are looking very dangerous.
Rooting for Dallas, but if I were betting on who takes home The Cup, I would put all my money on Colorado. They look scary good.
Jets simply outclassed, nuff said
I’m sorry but you are out of mind if you think that they should have beaten the Avalanche. That is the most exciting team to watch in my lifetime (except maybe my Sabres in 06 and 07) when they are rolling…. And they are!
Not everyone could get the caps in the first round hey.
I selected the Avs and Canes for the final in my bracket
Good on you lol, long way to go.
same
Historically, the team that takes out the Jets in the first round goes on to win the cup, and exactly nobody has an answer for them that year.
Thank you for what you said in last 35 Secs though sounds right
The Avs are so good everyone underestimating them smh
Hellebuyck beens dust this round
Buddy had the most saves of any goalie this postseason. He was facing 40+ shots a game. Don’t blame him.
@@joshharrison9054 dude he was not good enough, even watching him play he was shaky and let in objectively bad goals. Yes the team was bad and Helle wasn't as bad as the stats show, but he 100% deserves part of the blame.
@@joshharrison9054 well, he's a vezina caliber goalie, but i understand your point
It doesn't seem to be a matter of talent, and I doubt the players were unable to follow instructions. My guess is it was poor coaching.
Poor Hellbyuck he put his SOUL into this series
Winnipeg Jets play like the New York Jets do in the regular season in NFL football.
I'm a jets fan and pain pain pain is every thing
What were people actually expecting? The Avs are winners and actual contenders. Teams get found out in the playoffs. That's what happened here. I picked Avs in 6, so 5 shows me they're getting to that level you need to be at in the playoffs.
What’s funny is I think the Jets could have used Dubois and the Kings could have used Vilardi.
Punctuation my guy, please.
Overhyped trash teams
@@JesusFriedChristlike the flames?
Ever hear of a period or a comma.😂
I had the Jets pegged to make it pretty far, but not win.
Boyyyy was I wrong.
No one is talking about Rantanen
It may be a case of the Avs being awesome.
However, it was weird to see a really good defensive team suddenly unable to play defense. Is that a coaching problem?
Also, Hellebuyck has only won one playoff series in his career. And I believe that was his first one. You'd think a perennial Vezina candidate would steal a series here or there, let alone a game.
The Winnipeg Jets and the NY Jets share the same name and disappointments 😂
First time watchin this hockey stuff after dabling in some swiss league games, picked these Jet fellers as the team to back at the beginning of the season and I'm happy with my choice... Never saw actual jets skatin around though so that was a let down
Only 1 team goes home happy each year. Playoffs are brutal
Starting to feel like this franchise doesn’t deserve its fans, this shit is brutal
bad coaching, terrible PK and PP, thin defense. Avs are a great team and I think it only shows how flawed our game was, we never really made their offense work hard.
I love Winnipeg’s uniforms!
My fav goalie george-iev
GM Chevy’s M.O. = wash rinse dry, repeat season after season after season. Jets’ co-owners don’t care about winning a Stanley Cup, only to make a tidy annual profit while its 2010 purchase price of $68 M appreciates to $800 M today.
Jets fans will continue to renew their season tickets hoping that within seven years (the term of the rich $8.5 M contract extensions gifted to playoff chokers Hellebuyck and Scheifele), some miracle will occur.
Bowness made zero adjustments this series. Not that it would've mattered.
