    Carcass was the band that held my hand into the world of death metal with the song Incarnated Solvent Abuse. Been a fan since the early 90s.

      You’re telling my story bruh. Incarnated was the first death metal song I heard back in 91, been listening to Slayer and Metallica for 3 years before that but Carcass changed my life forever. Still my favorite band of all time.

      The guitar solo that stood out to me from the album was the one on death Certificate. I spent every waking hour for probably a full week learning to play it when I was a teenager. I should go back and relearn all the solos I spent ages learning as a teen cos they were so fun at the time.

    My favorite song on this album is Death Certificate. This album is so great. On Swansong (the album on which features Keep On Rotting In The Free World) would be Polarized. They categorized Carcass as "Grindcore" because of their earlier work. If you listen to Symphonies of Sickness, you'll get it.

      Michael couldn't stand up to what Carcass played. That's why all he did were simple yet melodic solos. I have nothing against the guy, but he fits better in Arch Enemy than Carcass.

    CARCASS is the real shit...even though heartwork is the pinnacle in creating melodeath style....but their prior album to this was even more legendary "Necrotisicm"...react to their either "Incarnated Solvent Abuse" or "Corporal Jigsaw Quandary" from Necrotisicm

    Haha loved your lady in the background, also very respectful she did it just for a short moment and let you do your thing.
    I totally agreed with you btw, somehow the vocals of Mustaine and Walker seemed to link in some way. KInda like he is the Dave Mustaine of Death/Grind (early years) Metal. That gritty biting, spitting kinda way of pronouncing, emphasizing their words... I love it!

    Necrotisism is crazy reading the lyrics along with it. It's all clinical. Incarnated solvent abuse is about melting humans down as glue and getting high on thier vapor. Lmao. Pretty sick shit. Though I love the song carneous cacophony its about the genre death metal.

    Heartwork is a great album but for me personally I think that Symphonies of Sickness is the best...but you should check out Necrotism...Descanting the insalubrious album...great tunes and a clearer production than Symphonies...hell check them both out 🤘🤘🤘

    I agree with you, that starting with Heartwork is the best album to start with, I started with Reek in 1988 (bought it a week after it came out) and was blown away by the album, and as for Symphonies, Christ that album was something so new that I couldn't quite believe that people were listening to Slayer and thinking that they were "brutal". For me it was Necroticism that sealed them as being far more than what they were before that album, and Heartwork was just a lovely little nail through my cranium to reinforce that seal, the less said about Swansong the better.

    hi man, I watched your reaction to "the flesh and the power it holds" by Death, the album that song is off is called "the sound of perseverance", it's a masterpiece, I would recommend any of the songs off it, but especially spirit crusher or scavenger of human sorrow, their other albums are worth a look too, "symbolic" is another masterpiece, any song off that is well worth the listen, but especially empty words and the title song, symbolic. I love your channel man, keep up the good work, I hope you see this comment.

    I strongly suggest you check out 'This Mortal Coil' by Carcass. It's off the same album as this song.
    Heartwork is such a highly energetic song and by far a HUGE favorite of mine.
