  • @alexw647
    @alexw647 Před 10 lety +64

    The comments here are ironical XD. Why spend $400 on a wallet?. It's the same as asking why to buy a Mercedes if a Toyota can take you from point A -> B, why go to nice restaurants when cooking at home is cheaper, or why buy a watch when your phone tells the time more accurately? Variety if the spice of life, people. There are those who focus on just living, and then there are those who appreciate the finer things in life. We care about the design, the quality, the traditions, the art, the technological prowess that go into making these everyday items. On another note, there is "no" way to justify an expensive purchase; other than the excuses I laid out above. Money makes the world go around, you can't deny the truth. I personally hate those who b**** & complain about other's lives - if they have the money & means to do so, by all means go for it. Money doesn't appear from thin air, a strong ambition & desire to become successful achieves higher point in life. To those butt hurt individuals who come here to complain: "get a life", literally...

My chances of surviving are way better in a Mercedes . A bus crashed over my GLK 350 . Not only I survived intact . Plus the damage to my vehicle was kind of minimal considering what hit me .

      That’s how I feel about boots, jeans, wallets, and glasses. Boots are always US/UK made. Jeans are US made (Texas jeans sells US made jeans for like $30 a piece so don’t tell me buying quality shit is expensive.) My wallets are mostly US made Anvil Customs. Glasses are pretty simple... anything from Luxotica that’s Italian or US made. Also watches, get an Invicta, Tissot, or Seiko if you need a nice timepiece that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I have like three Invictas with automatic movements (and one Batman GMT clone that has a quartz. That one was like $80 and is every bit as nice as my other watches) and never paid more than $200 for them. My Tags on the other hand... I paid more than I’d like to admit for the two I have. When you buy quality, you buy for life. Simple :)

    Louis wallets are not of exceptional quality, they’re good quality, but not at all for the price. You can get much better for much cheaper on sites like Aspinal of London. LV is using slits to make card pockets and edge painting on the sides, the proper way is to fold the canvas or leather over the edge, not paint it. Lots of cut costs I can see, which is odd considering the exorbitant price.

    as far as my understanding, since Louis Vuitton's bulk demand of their products, the Paris production can not meet this demand/bags,etc. so they expand in three more countries - Spain, USA and, Germany.

    Pro tip if your not an experienced buyer, buy on eBay.
    Ebay offers buyer and seller protection meaning that if you buy a fake by mistake you can open a case on the seller. Ebay will then step in and give you a full refund.
    You can then report the seller and they will handle it. I've been a top seller on ebay for years so I hope this helps!

    LVs can take a pretty good beating and lasts very long.
    my mum has a purses and a wallet about a decade old and it still looks pretty freaking new. mind you, she placed it in her handbag which had lots of sharp, poky things and even the zipper on the coin purse she had still works as new till this very second.
    and secondly, they look amazing. unique and smells kinda good! for its price i think its quite worthy! It can probably be passed down to future generations!

    I know you published this video in 2013, but I wanted to leave a comment. First thanks for sharing your experience. During my research I discovered that LV's are made from different hubs because of the high demand for them. That's why your wallet read made in Spain. Also the plastic insert is mainly for photos. There is a difference in the monogram on the fake vs. the genuine wallet. The good thing is you will have a wallet that will last a lifetime. There is no real benefit in buying fake products as you have proven to us. Thanks so much for sharing your video. If you want to know more about fake LV items look at Vintage Heirloom's channel...she's well versed in fake vs. real. She knows the history of when each series came out and more! I was impressed with her.

    First of all, thanks for this video. It is nice to find good people showing us the real thing, and fakes. For me, i dont have too much money, car, jewrely, and stuff, and when i saw the video the packaging, i think that if i had the wallet, i wont use it. Why? because is a pice of art, hahaha. Well, maybe in a big celebration such a weeding. Anyway, if you are a men with money and good taste here is some tips: details are extreme important. Even more if a girl is watching. They are detallist and minimalist, they look a shoe twenty times before buy it. So... a man, with suit, expensive or not, byt the tip is details: shoes, wallet, belt, rings, tie. If that is perfect, and you are a truly gentleman, it will be notice. / I saw men with 2000 usd suit with nowallet, having the money in a rollon. Others with the tie like a rope. Or perfect match but no hairstyle. So... is this important, it worth 400usd? YES no doubt about it. Those corners that you mention, details, are important. When a man walks, pays, talks, stand... he is telling everything! / There is a governator in my town, millionaire for sure, walking all tired with plastic based loafers, shorts like a boy, and a shirt all mess up. Sure... he goy a Mercedes. But got style, he is a truly gentleman? NO. And girls... what they want? they need someone who treat them well, no harm, protect, clean, good, gentleman. And philosophycly speaking... everything goes in by the eyes!!! So... good luck my friend. I belive this is the first step to details, to have it right and original. The first step of a true man.

    I've never understood the appeal in Louis vuitton. If I had the millionaire budget to only spend on designers it would be spent towards more classy brands that do not have a hologram printed all over, looks unbelievably unappealing and just screams 'look at me' instead of actually looking good.

      Almost everything is hand made, premium leather, and excellent craftsmanship. You can see it with the replica in with most others are made like and by the same people. Shit even there glasses are hand made. Anything hand made will cost. Cars, furniture, clothing, etc. They don't pay the worker $.25-$1 an hour.

      +Mw2ManDeMz The word you're looking for is "monogram," idiot. But I agree, the Monogram Canvas pattern is very dated. And I wouldn't be caught dead with it, considering that's the pattern everyone gets counterfeit Louis Vuitton products in. Plenty of nicer designs out there.

    • @myscrnnm
      @myscrnnm Před 8 lety +1

      +Mw2ManDeMz I wouldn't really call it a "simple mixup[sic]." Those two words mean completely different things. If you think my comment has "numerous" grammar mistakes, I'm afraid you don't really have a firm grasp of the English language. Yes, the sentence is long, but there is nothing ungrammatical about it.
