- It's a whole new trip to Palm Springs (just this past New Years!) and we're hitting up three of our old favorite antique stores! I have quite a few shopping videos featuring these same stores, but it's fun to see them again to see what new goodies the vendors have put out for sale.

Ooooh, ahhh, so many exceptional things.
The tree flocking kit cracked me up. Let's spray asbestos in the house but hey, it came with a $20 coupon lol. The mannequin heads are by Lady Lulu made by Gloria Pilay. She's not with us anymore but you can find the mannequins online. Those flower couches were missing their plastic slip covers lol.

Wow I think the prices are really high but I mostly shop thrift stores ❤, the tiki lamp was awesome.

I have these antique malls added on Instagram. It seems that Antique Galleries is the more pricier one, followed by Victorias Attic, the Sunny Dunes. But they are filled with lots of MCM! Loved it!
Love watching you. I picked up MCM for a song in 80s before anyone liked it in central PA. Still my favorite. Glad I found you...

I saw you today at the Sunny Dunes Antique mall today (2/18)! I saw Blake first and then saw you filming! Wanted to say hi from a fan but didn't want to interrupt your filming! I was probably the only guy wearing a mask. Have a great weekend in PS, lots going on. Love your videos!

I love the pink & grey table. That's fun.
I keep all my scotch and whisky in glass decanters that I have found in thrift stores and antique malls. I also only do glass stoppers NO plastic lol. It's just fun and fancy!
He definitely wants all glass, no plastic! And now after feeling the weight of crystal, he prefers it. 😂 We still haven’t found the “perfect” one, at least not for the right price!
Nice score on the Mod Kitchen! I don't really collect Pyrex, but that is one piece I would like to find.

You and Blake need to go to the Sacramento Vintage Fleamarket and they have good thrift stores. I want that starburst bowl. Not 300 tho.😭 Find your decanter at thrift stores. That's were I found mine. I found some neat ones. All I need is a bar cart.

Wow! I've been to Sunny's before, although it has been at least a year, and I don't remember their pricing being that crazy high. I almost wonder if prices went up because MCM collectors were in town for Modernism week. It would be interesting to see the prices at the same places in a couple months.
I could definitely see them lowering prices or running sales during the off-season in the summer months.
I should buy vintage here just to ship it there and ask double! 😅
It’s not a bad idea 😂 That’s what I said when I went to Kentucky and saw the prices they were asking for MCM, knowing what it sells for out here… I needed a Uhaul!

Do people actually pay these prices? My goodness it's ridiculous, to me.
Absolutely! But you have to keep in mind that Palm Springs is a resort/vacation town for wealthy people from Los Angeles. There’s lot of money here and a high demand for mid-century modern decor and collectibles. Plus CA is just more expensive in general for everything, the cost of living is very high out here, so the prices would seem very inflated compared to other parts of the country.
