Dave was the only Pro Poker Player that had time to reply on Twitter to his followers, on a regular basis. I had several conversations with him and have the utmost respect for this legend of Poker.
I never actually fell in love with poker at first. I fell in love with watching Devilfish play poker. Before i hardly even knew the rules this guy had me glued to my seat watching poker on tv for the first time. He inspired me to learn the game and love the game and for that i will always be grateful. A true poker legend...

Think it's worth watching on the big telly will be doing later . I've always thought there should of been a feature film about the devilfish . Thanks to the makers of showing us a true British poker legand . Rip devilfish.

Devil was one of the guys that got me into poker in 98/99, a proper character that made watching poker worth the time. RIP.
Nice to see the the family and musical sides of the Fish. One of a kind.
The first time I saw the Devil Fish it was on one of the Poker Tournaments. He was wearing an old suit that would date around the 1800's with dark sunglasses. He looked like Satan incarnate. Since then I thought he was the coolest player of them all.
He and Jimmy White were the reason I got into poker. Great guy, a great player, loved him.
Great Doc. Love the Devil Fish (to bits), i thought 16:56 showed Tony G after a Mcdonalds spiral. Much love to Dave, his family and his game. I certainly can;t play, but always enjoyed watching him. Thanks for posting :).

dave had a good heart!, he would send me and my brother in all the bookies he was banned from in Hull when he had a "good tip", I picked up £54,000 once for him which he "treat me" to two g"s!!! happy days!!!!

He was smack on right when he said he was the reason poker was getting so popular because of the "devilfish", he used to entertain and got me hooked, it was only once I started work at 15 and used to go drinking in Hull city centre that I realized this mad-ass character lived just a few mile away!!!. R.I.P Dave you certainly put Hull back on the map!! #blackandwhitearmy

I used to go to Leeds casino in the late 80s he must have been around then so I probably bumped into him. I was playing for 50p's he was probably playing for £000s even then
during this documentary there are some parts where it says " from a 2005 documentary ".

Sexton says it best that the modern poker players have no panache or style. Not the rouge gambler bet on anything attitude that Ulliott had and the old time poker players had. One of kind and will be sorely missed.
If you want to do something do it today. There are only so many tomorrow's.

Great doc. Admittedly I was never a big fan. The attitude that made him endearing to some, made him a character, turned me off.
