    - Whether your car is symptomatic of high or low oil pressure hopefully as simple as changing the small part in your oil filter housing will correct whatever problem can be caused in your near future.
    - I hope this will help you out! I myself as you can see from other videos am just a DIY style guy, doing a bit more research won’t hurt. Therefore I am pretty confident in what I am telling However proceed with caution and patience in the link under this text will bring you to the website I purchased a specially designed plunger from an enthusiast point of view this company took their time to create a product that had faults and remanufactured good luck wish everyone the best

My oil light comes on at start up. If the throttle is blipped just a little it goes off. Oil is fresh and full so I replaced the sending unit. Didn't fix it.
I just ordered this, along with a filter and gasket for the housing. Outmotoring showed no stock on the valve. I texted the number and they answered my question within an hour or so. Good customer service.
    Thanks for the link.

Tnx. Im having my low oil pressute turning in on idle which goes away after i press the gas . It happened after the mechanic changed the oil and he said that there was a loose oil spring.😊it would have been better if u would have showed how to change it.

Do you have instructions on a pdf document or can you show the removal and installation of the plunger valve?

Also. Be aware of certain pattern filters. Not all have the anti-collapse inner. I was having issues with my oil pressure light. Took the filter out. It had collapsed. Put a Bosch filter in. Problem solved for now.

Hi mate hopefully you will reply on this comment, what prongs you talking about in this video? I have oil pressure issue, only when engine is warm. I've changed oil pump, already disassembled engine on pieces, I thought it was crankshaft bearings problem but they doesn't look that bad. I just removed this plunger and it looks fine I guess.

So with that part that opens and closes, the prongs I was taking about help the motion in the small valve open and close. The original bmw part is faulty and gets heat soaked and cracks or malfunctions, so with the end result replacing that fixed it and also i wont have to take it off again. anytime you have a chance always change parts that get updated ! Hope that helps

I have a 2003 with the NA motor and the filter is located in the back of the engine by the exhaust manifold. So I can't really see the plunger. How does it come out?

Hi I just found your video and the question that I have for you is, my 2013 Cooper S just show me a message "engine oil pressure too low" I stop and check the stick and I noticed nothing wrong on it, so I drove almost 16 miles and nothing happened, but the message was still there...so, im wondering if what you explain on the video could be one thing I should considered before do anything else.
    Thanks!!!

    • @scuffedgarage8519

it could be many things, like low oil, oil pump worn out, time is off, or a brocken switch

@@scuffedgarage8519 I tried to "just pull it out" as you claim, but I can't get it to come out! Now I have F'ed around with trying to pull out that I am afraid to leave the old one in. I hate to try to grab this stupid thing with vice grips, but looks like I have no other choice
