Peter, the REAL revolutionary….his writing n musical skills remain unmatched….NEVER bowed…NEVER sold out…many still cry out re Bob being shot at the Peace Concert, BUT Peter was always on the radar of the Jcan police who brutalized him on occasion..most infamously , at the Half-Way-Tree Police Station lock-up…fractured his skull in that beating….but like Peter sang, “Everyone is crying out for peace

He was a civil rights leader and inspirational speaker, who sang. The confidence these songs can instill is a prayer and a song, as I imagine. Thanks for posting Peter Tosh Can Blame The Youth 1969 1972. I saw Peter Tosh Live Twice Once At the Rainbow Theatre June 4th 1979 And At The Dominion Theatre 23.10.1983 Both gigs were very good but the Rainbow Theatre Gig was amazing great. Nice One One Love Peace ☮ CND UK.

Beautiful album, amazing singer and a legend in reggae music and a legend to me. Peter is my hero.
Most underrated artist in the reggae genre. Possibly, of all music.
+riptack heigberns you obviously dont listen to a lot of reggae. There are thousands of bands. Peter tosh is one of two artist, along with the water down for the white middle class masses bob marley, that anyone who doesn't actively pursue reggae knows. Therefore he is not underrated at all as he is one of the two most popular and know artist.

Well he has been terribly discriminated against. Not due to his appearance but because he spoke what was on his mind, and that was often a criticism on many powerful forces...
I have mixed feelings about him being underrated. Throughout the world there are millions of people who know and love his music. He is a grammy winner, three gold albums and one platinum, sold out concerts to large enthusiastic and appreciative audiences in every corner of the globe. New York just celebrated Peter Tosh day on April 20th. One writer referred to Peter Tosh as Jamaican music royalty. He achieved this through his own hard work and determination when Chris Blackwell refused to give him a record deal, while he enthusiastically promoted Marley. He is probably not as well known as his band mate Bob, but this is because his uncompromising music and speeches might make some people feel uneasy, including the Jamaican government and police force, but as the saying goes, who the cap fits let him wear it. . He was multi talented and very intelligent and far sighted. He taught himself to play at least four musical instruments and taught Bob and Bunny to play the guitar. he taught himself martial arts to Black Belt level, taught himself to speak Amharic - the ancient Ethiopian language, ride the unicycle etc etc. He was honest and fearless beyond belief. He fought fr the liberation of the Black man which almost certainly caused him his life. For those who underrate him, it is their loss. Bless

Genius mind in Jamaica history is left out of the West Indian primary school books. This song makes real sense. I hope this is system is changed to include the real West Indies teaching about Slavery to now to emancipation to modern scholars and sport triumphs.
