Latex-ite 4.75-Gal. Color Grade Blacktop Driveway Filler/Sealer in Natural Beige
Brand: Latex-Ite
(Note: If product is not available to order in your area that is due to nighttime temperatures. Product may not cure and/or track in late Fall and early Spring applications). Latex-ite 4.75 Gal. Color Grade Blacktop Driveway Filler/Sealer in Dark Beige is the first tinted sealant for blacktop. Color grade is a ready-to-use, low VOC, water based sealer designed to beautify and protect your blacktop driveway with color. Color grade is a durable, tinted filler or sealer that resists hot tire pick-up, chemicals and leaves a non-skid finish. The lighter version Gray or Beige will help reduce heat buildup on your blacktop. For use on exterior blacktop only (previously sealed or unsealed). Not for use on concrete. Not for use on commercial parking lots. Check the weather and make sure no rain is forecast and it is at least 55°F at night (a cold driveway will not allow the sealer to cure properly and may track). Approximately 400 sq. ft. to 500 sq. ft. coverage for good condition, smooth or previously sealed blacktop Approximately 300 sq. ft. to 400 sq. ft. coverage for moderate condition, minor cracking or graying blacktop Approximately 200 sq. ft. to 300 sq. ft. coverage for poor condition, rough or unsealed blacktop Coverage will vary based on blacktop condition 2 coats (maximum) must be applied to achieve color uniformity completing each coat in one continuous application to prevent color shading Make sure to check color sample image on HomeDepot.com to see actual color Test a small area prior to coating entire driveway so you can see the color (remember you are covering black so apply 2 coats) - dark beige will dry darker than the lid color in photo - please check the color card image for actual color Apply with squeegee (no rollers) - brushes are fine for the edges
Latex·ite® Color Grade® Driveway Filler/Sealer
Latex·ite® Color Grade® Filler/Sealer is a ready-to-use, high performance, asphalt based blacktop filler sealer (NOT FOR CONCRETE) that will beautify and protect the entrance to your home or your parking lot (available in 55gal drums as well). Customers have asked for a color sealant to both beautify and in some cases to cool down their blacktop …so here it is! Color Grade® is a durable, tinted sealer that resists hot tire pick-up, chemicals and leaves a non-skid finish.
It is available in three colors: Natural Beige, Dover Grey and Brick Red. The temperature of the blacktop will certainly be reduced by using a lighter shade like the gray or dark beige. Our recent test on Beige showed an 18 degrees F reduction versus the blacktop and our recent Gray Test yielded a 20 percent reduction in surface heat!
Please note that since you are applying to a black surface the color will be a bit darker than the color you see on the pail art.
Advance Polymer Formula
Fortified, Non-Skid
UV Protected
Low VOC, Easy Clean-Up
Apply with Seal Right Squeegee (Roller is wrong applicator and voids warranty)
Not for use on stamped asphalt
Cool your driveway or parking lot with Beige or Grey Color Grade!

For people that are lost “Look for the sand colored driveway 💯💜🌟💜💯 This looks so clean and beautiful 💯💜🌟💜💯
Do you know where I can find it. Looked in line and not seeing it
Nice contrast for your wood-look garage doors! I noticed all photos of wood-look garage doors (which I like) have light-colored driveways, but mine is a blacktop, too. Looks like a viable solution! Thanks!
OMG you made my day. My home came w 1 concrete and 1 tar driveway...ya know where I am goin w that..thanks!!!!!!
That is awesome! I think I know what's coming next!
Thanks. Just what I wanted to see.
I prefer the reds and I don't want anything from you so much fun when you are doing this for everyone who wants to do something like this thanks Panda Man you do fantastic videos on CZcams videos 😉😊🙏❤
Thanks for joining me here, Christine!
would it be a good idea to sealcoat the driveway in white so it is not so hot in summer and also help the fight against climate change?
I just sealed my driveway with a similar product from Manards. It went on nicely and really looked good after it set up for 24 hrs.
Nice work! It's kind of relaxing work!
Thanks for your feedback . I will check this out at Menards. 👍🏼👍🏼
What one did you get at Manards ?
Did you get the seal best Tennis coating from menards?
Dude, you shouldn't be sealing it every year. You will build up way too much sealer and it will start peeling off in chunks. Every 3-5 years is recommended unless you have very heavy traffic like a road or parking lot
That’s an excellent point. At least I can take a few years off now.
Coming from someone who owns a Sealcoating company, every 3-5 maximum. It’s not about aesthetics. If you build up too much sealer it will dry out your asphalt.
Excellent. Thanks for the great video. I was glad that you used the term “sleuthing” on the internet. It’s a pet peeve of mine when I hear somebody state that they were “doing research” on the internet. In fact, they were simply “reading” the internet. “Sleuthing” is a perfect description. Thanks again for the cool video.
Looks good
Thanks, Pat! I think it's a love it/hate it kind of thing, but I love it!
Can you do a short follow up video of the colored driveway. a year later. is it holding up or wearing out. Im curious to know how well it holds up over the years considering the price being much higher.
Good point! I’ll film a follow up!
@@petervonpanda Hi, did you post it? Also, how big is your driveway and how many buckets did you use please?
@@petervonpanda Curious how it's help up 2.5 years later. Thanks for the vid!
nvm, saw this further below "2 years old with no additional work, right now, it looks okay. Color still holds but it’s cracking in some places and flaking as expected. Winters and plowing are tough around here. My plan is to do crack filling and 2 new coats next spring"
Hey Pete, great video. How did this look the following year. I’m very curious about this product but Ive heard mixed reviews. Thanks. 👍
2 years old with no additional work, right now, it looks okay. Color still holds but it’s cracking in some places and flaking as expected. Winters and plowing are tough around here. My plan is to do crack filling and 2 new coats next spring
Thanks I was looking for similar product.
I am going to make a brand new driveway for my new home. Concrete driveway cost is $10grand. This will be perfect.
What product did you end up gogin with and how did it turn out?
@@sqballers I will apply the sealant in 2024 summer, 2nd year of ashphat.
Color not yet decided. May be my red brick color or grey.
Do you know if Lowes or Homedepot have it?
Where did u get it from?
This looks AMAZING! I am going to buy this for my asphalt now. How long did the entire project take? How many hours to paint the 1st coat? And how many hours to paint 2nd?
It didn’t take me too long. Probably took me four hours to pay down a nice first coat taking care around the edges, but the next coat went one much quicker since the low spots were filled in pretty good. The first coat took a little longer than a standard black sealer because you need good coverage to hide the old black coating.
Amazing review. Thanks for doing so! It’ll help me with my project 🙏
How is it holding up now?
Have you found alternatives to this product as it is no longer available?
Shame they don't make an Olive or tennis court green. L°°ks great and should be much cooler! Peace
It's be cool to put up a net and play a little tennis on it.
Hi! Considering this for my soon to be redone driveway. How has it held up?
It's been great and is so much cooler in the summer sun! I love it!
I wonder if the blacktop can be tinted before the initial application? or would the black absorb any color?
It can be tinted prior to laying down. They do this often now in hot areas
How much did you spend per sq ft?
Do you need to seal it with the black stuff first before using this product? I have a black driveway that needs to be sealed and I want to change the color to reduse the heat.
I don't think so. I just put it over whatever was there.
Cost?
How long will this last? I was told I would have to reseal yearly.
I don't reseal each year, I shoot for every other year, but this time, it's going to be a third year, but it's looking a little tired and ready for a new coat.
How long does it last ? Until it starts coming off ? Anyone knows
So, mine is still off. Showing some areas of wear in the highest traffic areas, but even with the snow and ice, overall it looks good, but I've got a couple of small cracks that I might touch up this spring.
How would it do in south Florida heat?
I bet it would be nice. It’s so much cooler in the sun and easier to walk on and more comfortable to park cars!
@@petervonpanda I’m curious. Just need something that holds up and won’t break down so easy in the sun
@@petervonpanda Peter, I just used two buckets of the Dover Grey on my driveway, happy with the coating and agree it will need two coats. Looks great so far. My question is, when you opened up your bucket it look very silk/paint like. When I opened up mine it was like grey putty which I did my best to mix, but still difficult to squeegee. Did I get an older batch or do you have a good way to make it thinner? No power tools here unfortunately.
They are not available 😢
Really?! Discontinued?
Hi can you plz let me the store address where I can buy online ?? I will need 5 big buckets
Hi, I think you can order them from Home Depot online!
@@petervonpanda thanks Peter
@@petervonpanda how is your drive way doing after paint.
How oftern do u reseal or paint the asphalt??
Your driveway looks like it's in terrible shape and like someone else pointed out you never seal a driveway every year minimum of 3 years at least I haven't sealed my drive way in 5 years and it still looks new
That don’t look good at all
Thought I was the only one.....The before looks way better than after! The edging on the sides stands out too much now. Sorry, just saying.
I don't like it! It looks like one giant slab of concrete! It doesn't even look like asphalt. You should've kept it black because it looks much better, the way asphalt is supposed to look.
White or reflective options for asphalt are needed to mitigate heat domes and climate change. It's been more than 2 decades since scientists first suggested painting roofs white to counter our industrial activity and deforestation. Many large US cities are banding together to get more buying power, influence and shared experience as they start making these changes.
