Ashley definitely post the skirt! I would go and take it to a seamstress or dry cleaner and get the elastic repaired. Might not cost much. Imposter!? Never that! Love your videos and your hauls. You are amazing💜

Good morning Ashley! This was a great haul. For the skirt, I'd list it. Someone may love it enough to buy it to repair. Alternatively, check in your area for seamstresses. Replacing the elastic might only cost a couple of dollars, and add so much to the resale value. Love your videos, you're a joy to see. 💕

I love finding scarves at the bins. Just listed a 50s silk Vera scarf in great condition that I found at the bins.
I love that brand in particular! But yes any scarf, especially silk with a unique pattern, I'm drawn to😍

So a lot of times with riding pants or breeches people don’t always care too much about stains in my own experience. I don’t anymore but we had horses growing up and breeches get dirty, especially on the inner leg where it’s rubbing up against your horse. I’ve been able to sell ones that are discolored for around $30-$40 depending on the brand as long as they’re structurally sound 😊

Had to google Doris Frain after you showed that kitten sweater. She passed in 2020 and her obituary said “She was an avid knitter, making hundreds of personalized Christmas stockings and customized sweaters.” I wonder if her children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren might like to see what you found. ❤

I can’t leave sweaters behind either. I just found a vintage Valentine’s Day sweater I had to get. I say we will sell a lot next fall and winter. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 😂
Funny because my last trip I found a vintage "Valentines" sweater too! Has hearts all over it...best believe I still got it lol
6:42 I’m not a reseller but I find it interesting that anyone would buy a used “running shoe”. As someone who walks/jogs for exercise - I’d never wear a used shoe. Really good foot support is so imperative.
People do! And will pay good money for good brands! Makes total sense why you/others wouldn't want to buy something like that secondhand.
Re the skirt, I keep finding myself repurposing fabric from gorgeous vintage items that are too damaged etc. to sell. I’m not super crafty so mostly I end up with throw pillows or placemats because sewing squares isn’t as hard as most projects😂 just a thought.
Also, I wanted to add I think it’s smart to pick up sweaters and Christmas in the off-season. It’s been easier for me to find them when everyone else is ignoring them:) Of course it probably depends on what your supply is typically like in season.
Until four months ago I lived in NC and I did not find lot of winter during the winter or summer during the summer(I swear our bins was basically a combat zone!) We moved back to Pennsylvania in November, after 20 years in NC, and I’m still pretty clueless as to what I will likely find. I’m basically relearning how to source, because it’s just so different.
I've never really sourced anywhere but PA to be honest! Hoping to make some thrifting road trips this summer 💜

Doesn't the skirt have a drawstring? That might be enough for it to sell.
It does but it doesn't tighten and it's extremely large
It looks like the skirt has a drawstring? If so, it would be possible to tie it and wear it that way---maybe disclose the elastic problem and make that suggestion?
Unfortunately I don't think that's possible even with it having a Drawstring 😪 but I think I'm going to list as is and see if someone buys it who can fix it themself!
