British Humor is the Best. I'm only now, at age 61, getting into utilizing my system again and attempting to compose again. I've taken notes, and transposing these suggestions so as to use the tools that I have available on my older system. -Thank you so much for putting this together.
I love how you describe this step by step process to make this scary movie song, keep moving
1:40 Omg. Sounds like Penderecki. Bravo
I scored Haxan withcraft through the ages for a live performance re-score & a personal favourite moment was recording me playing piano softly at high gain while whispering demonic words into the microphone. People said the soundtrack was completely unsettling :D The best thing with horror is how creative you can get. Record the scraping of metal, wood, reverse it, map it across keyboards. You can do a really good soundtrack with you're own toolkit although not saying the Bernard Hermann wouldn't help!
This is so Amazing! This is exactly what i was looking for!
Great! more from Louis & more such different genre!
Ps- the black background & T-shirt goes with the video keep it up!
Brilliant and very creepy
“I’m heading off” 😂🤣🤣😂

I want every library in this video
I notice in the middle loud potion for the first playthrough it sounds like someone banging/rattling desperately on a metal gate.
It'd say it was little over the top, kinda fast tempo- at one point reminded me of classical music. Horror scores all about build up of anticipation, high strings, mixed with slower beats & low notes. Give it a dread feeling. Lurking in the dark vibe. The emotion of death. Keep it more sinister.
That's excellent. I'm scared👏👏
wow awesome thanks for sharing
amazing !
Would really love to hear more tracks made with the angular or fragile string evos. Found almost nothing online but they seem so interesting. If anybody used them - feel free to point me to their tracks. I am just not willing to spend a couple of hundred euros for a library where I don't know what that library is capable of.
Very nice 👏 strings are amazing
Excellent!
I have directed several genre horror films and have done special effects and composer duty’s. I find the most tension in a horror movie comes from the impact of tension in sound design not so much cues .for me less is more. (John Carpenters version of the Thing comes to mind) And of course found music ala a proper music director is a no brainer in horror as well . Too much music can kill a moment or take the audience right out of the moment very easily. Yes? Peace Christo 👽🐕🎶🛸☮️😉💀🙏
Totally agree. It sounds more like a piece of fantasy music, or more action oriented in the second half. Way too musical to be terryfying. Structures are too predictalbe and too common.
Completely agree, I really liked the music in the new 'The Conjuring' movie, there weren't many melodies, but more ambient instead
@@r0y41ty thank you ! 👽
It's sounds rather like an chase music in horror games like Amnesia or Resident evil where tense music is required.
A great thing to do is use textures on omnisphere or create your own
The first song would sound great for my horror movie I’m gonna make I just don’t know how I’m gonna transport this song to a computer and send it for the movie
Thank you soo.much bruh ❤️😍

This is not a "How - To" Stop misleading Spitfire.
Any excuse to sell stuff, regardless of the dangers of Halloween...Shame on you.
kids at the door asking for candies... Oh my god i can't sleep at night
@@voidvisir Horror films didn't teach you anything? Kids are scary and dangerous - DO NOT open your door ;)
The dangers of Halloween are just too much, to be honest I don’t understand why ANYONE would even CONSIDER not making a multi-million pound investment in an underground bunker to avoid the dangers of that god awful “celebration”
@@MiloMcCarthyMusic it should be outlawed by the Geneva Convention at the very least. It's more dangerous than The Purge ;)
