Your lady reminds me so much of my daughter, stature, demeanor, looks, everything. I had to do a double- triple take to be sure my girl hadn't run off to New York! :o
Andrew, you could put a Solar Water Pump at that spring to pump up to your header tank(s). It doesn’t matter how slow they are as they pump non-stop while there is daylight and with virtually no maintenance.
If he does that, he should skip using the totes, and get a buried cistern, as since they no longer need to be moved, he can go much, much bigger, and being buried, they wont freeze in winter. Iirc, a 5000 gallon plastic cistern is around a buck a gallon.

Great to see another adventure with you and Samantha, Andrew! Your mountain top sure looks different when the hardwood trees lose their leaves. Would advise lab testing the water before drinking it. Great supply method for washing up though. The line and tank will likely freeze unless you insulate the tote and bury the water line to your trailer below the frost level. My dad built a simple tripod percussion well drilling rig at his cottage through earth but the water was only about 20-30 feet deep there. We had property in North Carolina years ago and it was beautiful. Had a water spring on the mountain above cabin so we built a basin about three feet high to catch the water all impurities stayed in the bottom. Water flowed down the mountain across the river back up the mountain to the cabin. wonderful water. We used drisco pipe which held up good for the winter we just unhooked it at both ends and waterproofed the cabin and headed the mountain for the winter. Unfortunately due to health had to sell. You have a couple of nice little springs there . That one in the rock shelter looks like it is ready made for a catch basin and maybe a solar pump . It may have had one at one time by the looks of it . Be fun to get the mini up there and clean it out . Done more than a few of those , even mixing mortar up top with a Zipline to lower the buckets of mortar down to the worksite . That was fun .
