As cool as it is the mugetsu isn't he final getsuga which his father told him so it's his soul reaper powers. But during the soul society when he fought kenpachi he Zangetsu used blood vein to stop his bleeding for a short time without him knowing.
I think Ichigo’s mugetsu is unique though since it’s definitely a mixture between his Quincy and soul reaper powers but not in the way we see in TYBW but More so a forced merging. This is supported by old man zangetsu and white becoming one and Dangai ichigo merging with his bankai. It’s just not as complete since only a small percentage of his Quincy powers were accessible hence it was sorta forced.

First time ichigo activated quincy abilities was when Rukia stabbed him into chest .He pulled almost all of her reishi instead of pulling just a fraction of it .Similar way Ishida had to regain his quincy powers ,he had to take shot from reishi arrow into heart .
@@UtopiansDream rukia doesn't need it in her to effect her. It affects the desires of the people around until aizen makes it submit to him. Aizen literally pointed out how rukia lost all her soul reaper powers because of the hogyoku
It is also hinted at that zangetsu used quincy powers to stop ichigos bleeding against kenpachi and the fullbring outfits and bankai cloak are similar to quincy covering themselves in power while getting stronger

first time ichigo ever used quincy ability was straight up in first couple episodes when rukia stabbed him into chest with sword to donate her portion of shinigami powers but ichigo took all of them .Same thing was done when Ishida lost quincy powers and had to be shot into heart by reishi arrow to regain them .
@@it_is_what_it_is269that's not the same thing. Ichigo doesn't awaken any quincy powers (or his real powers) until he trains with urahara. When rukai stabbed ichigo, ichigo was borrowing rukia's shinigami powers, not his own.
The best version of this I've heard, that makes a little more sense is that narratively Mugetsu can be seen as all of Ichigo's powers forming into one state. The idea being that the Mugetsu is subconsciously modelled after the Letz Stil but also just as much based on his Hollow powers and his Shinigami powers.
I believe your interpretation to be the most likely...(until Kubo says something otherwise). We've never seen Isshin use his mugetsu, so we don't have an accurate idea of the drawbacks, but we did see a similar quincy ability (Letz Stihl) and it's drawbacks are mighty similar. Also, it tracks that Ichigo would have gotten back his powers eventually since the only other example (Uryuu) got back his in a similar way

You could argue it's similar to both a Getsuga Tenshu, Cero, AND Letz Stihl in being a massive projectile. He references becoming death in a way, which as an endpoint feels far more Shinigami than Quincy and Aizen's constant references to Ichigo's unreadable spiritual pressure heavily implies he became a being even an Aizen likely able to conquer Soul Society couldn't understand. For me that's partly from how strong he is, but also likely due to the effect the Dangai training had of fusing his different sword entities (At the time) into one being. 1 Basto Lorde... No. 2. Mugetsu is a soul reaper technique passed down in his father's clan. 3. Old Man Zangetsu did use Quincy Powers during the fight with Zaraki, but did not give that power to Ichigo. This power only worked while Ichigo was briefly in perfect sync with Old Man Zangetsu. 4. Ichigo's fullbringer powers were always kinda there, but he needed the extra push to actually get a hold of them. 5. Rukia did not give Ichigo his soul reaper powers, she gave him HER soup reaper powers. It was Kisuke Urahara who helped Ichigo unlock his own soul reaper powers.

@@Matt-sn3lo Isshin stated both in manga and anime that, Engetsu also refused to teach him the technique (when he sees Ichigo bleeding from his mount whilst in the inner world). Implying that he also had to "force" his zanpaktou to teach him it.
Mugetsu literally has the Quincy Kings hair and the same black spiritual energy he used in his final attack on Aizen is the same black energy that Ichigo used on Aizen in mugetsu form.

But because *Ichigo specifically* has Shinigami powers INFUSED w Quincy Powers *white and zangetsu literally fuse w one another*, HIS Final Getsuga Tensho has Quincy elements obviously attached And thus, would make his Final Getsuga Tensho function differently than Isshin's or any of his other ancestor's. Correct, powers would function slightly different from soul to soul. And ichigo's FGT does infuse quincy powers (very little, but it does). But that, in no way, makes it utilise "letz stil" into FGT. Because letz stil is activated via the quincy tool. That being said, the first time ichigo used his quincy powers was against zaraki when he stopped his bleeding.
Okay here's a counter argument Isshin himself said that Ichigo will have to convince Zangetsu to teach him how to use precisely because of the consequences of the Final Getsuga Tenshou Second Isshin's and Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou function exactly the same When Ichigo uses it with only his shikai it is just a pure reiatsu blast just like Isshins when he used it every other time Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou in Bankai gets infused with his Hollow powers not his Quincy powers. We know that because Ulquiorra comments on how his Getsuga Tenshou is similar to a Cero blast Isshin's Getsuga only becomes infused with fire when Engetsu is released so if he would've ever used FGT it would function exactly the same as Ichigo's did but on fire instead of the black reiatsu And lastly Letz Stille is not at all similar to FGT for one it is not a total loss of power like FGT he was still able to see hollows and Shinigami after losing his powers unlike Ichigo Also adding to the first and second point Isshin also said that Engetsu refused to teach him the Final Getsuga Tenshou Why would Engetsu refuse to teach Isshin FGT if it didn't have the exact same consequences?

Final Getsuga Tensho is not related to his Quincy powers as it was known by his Shinigami father and he specifically hinted at him having to convince his Zanpakuto to teach him that ability. It is even in the name. Getsuga tensho is a shinigami ability passed down from his dad as his father can use it too.
Yeah, but zangetsus Getsuga Tenshou absorbs the reiatsu around Ichigo. That's not what a normal Shinigami attack does. So Ichigo uses his Quincy powers every time he uses Getsuga Tenshou. So the Final Getsuga could also be Quincy Vollständig and Mugetsu the letzter Stil. That's not to far thought.

It IS a shinigami ability, that is proven in the canon on more than one account, but also Ichigo's hollow and quincy powers are built into his shinigami powers so you could always see those traits in him even before that. His black getsuga is basically a cero and his black cloak is the same as the quincy's shadow power. Mugetsu just made both of those features features more obvious. If Isshin had unlocked his it'd look more like his zanpakuto spirit, since that's what beyond bankai does. For ichigo that was the features of both White and Ywhach Zangetsus', before we knew what exactly they were

@@threeeyedgoldpatrick Actually the CFYOW novels establish that the soul king came into existance after shinigami and hollows already existed. He wasnt a god that created the universe, the only race that came from him did so indirectly by the quincies coming from his son, though in a sense you could say he was the first quincy as well. But I agree that it doesnt matter that Isshin taught him about the final. Its a form that was mentioned more than once in the canon. Very few knew about it but those that did spoke of it as though ot were just another shinigami ability. Albeit one that is a lot harder to attain than a bankai. Ichigo's quincy and hollow powers are apart of his Shinigami powers though so with those two things in mind its pretty obvious that his final is just doing what finals do, take the shape of his zanpakuto spirit, which in this case are Ywhach and White Zangetsus, which are also the forms his hollow and quincy sides took at his birth, but they are also still his zanpakuto spirits regardless. He may be a hybrid but his shinigami powers still work as normal
There is a great rrsemblance between the shinigami powers of ichigo and his father; and during his dungai training to reach the final getsuga his dad commented: "my zanpakuto didn't want to teach me that technique either" so i kinda think it's more likely to be a part of his shinigami powers
Saigo no Getsuga Tenshō is Tensa Zangetsu ability. Which has nothing to do with his Quincy powers. There's the battle in the inner world where he's fighting Tensa where he states "what you want to protect is not what I want to protect."
Thats at most a theory, considering that this tecnique was taught to ichigo by his father, whose zampakutou is Engetsu, and is also capable of using the original getsuga tensho, means that this skill ine comes from the shiba family, making the final getsuga a shinigami skill
Its a cool theory but probably wrong. 1. When it comes to ichigo black reiatsu historically means hollow powers. 2. Getsuga is a shinigami twchnique since isshin knew it even before he met misaki. 3. Final getsuga being a wuincy technique would just be redundant since the letz steel does the same thing. 4. Final getsuga is supposed to be taught by the zanpaktou spirit, you could say that isshin was just lying and that its actually supposed to be taught by yhwach but isshin would have no way of knowing that yhwach was pretending to be his zanpaktou spirit.
It was way sooner, because Getsuga Tensho is an ability that collects energy from around and then releases it as a powerful slash. Only quincies gather energy from their surroundings to fight, so it was way way sooner.
He also probably got a quincy amp against kenpachi in ss. Zangetsu covered him with that black aur type then ichigo got back up and got way stronger,and in his final clash with kenpachi,his eyes were glistening blue aswell.
from what I recall, this was old man Zangetsu using blut veine on the wound to stop the bleeding and Ichigo achieving albeit brief, a sync or he more or less surrendered to the representation of the powers to channel them
I think the first actual use of Quincy ability from Ichigo was all throughout the first chapter. Hollows are attracted to them, which is how ichigo becomes a target. Breaking the binding hado, Quincies can manipulate the reiatsu and straight up absorb it if they choose, ie Ishida absorbing the buildings during his battle with Captain Kurotsuchi. Then taking Rukia's blade was like a coronation, and he took all of her reiatsu just like reforging Zangetsu took all the water...
Ichigo's soul was more potent, which made him a target. Ichigo was clearly shown to break the hado Rukia put him under, like he physically powered through it.
Pretty sure it was either hinted or straight up said near the end of the manga (so spoilers ahead) That Ichigo has been relying mainly on his quincy powers disguised as his shinigami powers. Zangetsu's bankai is actually him using his quincy powers and White is actually the fusion of his hollow and shinigami powers. That's what I remember from like four months ago reading the manga, so I could be wrong.
Close but ichigo is a quincy that had a hollow as his soul (his soul is white ) and that later became a shinigami thanks to urahara's training making his soul (white) his true zanpakuto but since he was born as a quincy ( and all quincy come from Yhwach and have a little bit of him inside their soul ) his quincy part took control of his shinigami/hollow powers and only let him use a little part of them. Whats also why ichigo's new zanpakuto was a single sword but when he acepted the part of Yhwach's soul inside of him as part of his own soul his zanpakuto became two swords.
nah, ichigo's father said that getsuga tensho final is a techinihque that the zangetsu doesnt want to teach, implying that ishin also learned (or at least could have learned) this techinique that make the user lose his powers even without Ishin having quincy powers, but ichigo used his quincy powers at other moments too, like in the zaraki battle, that surge of power in the final wasnt just protagonism, it was blut vent, a quincy technique that ichigo used whitout even know it
First time was actually the first against renji. Whenever ichigo got "focussed" in the first episodes his aura always turned blue. Once his hollow powers took more of his power over his reiatsu also got darker especially with bankai
The only problem is the vasto lorde form isn’t hollow it’s zangetsu taking full control because white was zangetsu and the old man zangetsu was his Quincy side or the Fragments of yhwach he inherited from his mother
That is not the case, his quincy form is a white suit with black hair, art that Tite Kubo himself made for the PS4 game and for the gacha mobile version, the Mugetsu for is the temporary power that exceeds the power of shinigami , hollow and quincy, which they explain even in the novel and even when he takes the path to surpass the level of shinigami, making him the number 1 vesel of the king of souls.
he might have been using a little Quincy power all along but it was mostly Shingami and hallow power up to Mugetsu, when trapped in the Quincy cage, if it took so much to awake it, then maybe it was jammed, maybe by the conflict inside him, think about it guys.
If you carefully listened to what ichigo father told ichigo before final clash with aizen you wouldn't made this wrong information. Its shinigami power, which is last resort attack that is kept as secret since shinigami loses power. Zanpakuto doesn't learn his owner this ability cause it would rather die then lose connection with shinigami
You can see how much soul society cares about shinigami dying...so why not teach them a technique that will allow a few low level trash to fight on par with menos if even for a moment?
Its a getsuga, a shinigami/ zanpakuto technique. Theres a couple going oh his hair being balck and long is just like yuha. Hisnhairnis long due to the hollow presence. Ichigos energy is black when its used in tandem with hollow. Juha's only displayed black energy post taking the soulkings power. If it was a quincy technique in anyway it would have had a quincy name or it would have been like yumechikas zanpakuto, it would hav3 worked to a very diminished effect.
Ichingo's dad being able to use final getsuga is slightly wrong. He knows of it and how to learn it, but he really couldnt even if he wanted to because it requires that their bankai spirit teach it to them of which his flat refused to teach it, incase it used it. That technique is a sacrificial move one of which for almost anyone besides ichigo is no different than cutting off the connection built between your bankai spirt and reitsu abilities and the user.(it should kill soul reapers)
Every time he slashes zangetsu and unleashed a blast it was his quincy ability mixed with his shinigami powers. He's been using both since day one thats why we see the struggle for hollow Ichigo taking control because its his true power that zangetsu (the embodiment of his quincy power) is stated as having suppressed ichigos abilities.
Because the supposed final getsuga is the fused form of the Quincy and hollow spirit perfected. But because he didn't yet master the Vasto Lorde form, so the Quincy part took a majority portion of power to combine the two souls, that's why Ichigo didn't go berserk against aizen.
Mugetsu is a technique of the Soul Reapers old families that Ichigo's Father taught him, even tough it used his quincy powers, it also used all of his other powers. In reality, both Bankai and Shikai of Ichigo are a merge of his Quincy and Shinigami powers, Zangetsu says it himself. Getsuga Tensho, Bankai, Shikai, those were all QUINCY powers trying to mimic what a Soul Reaper power would be. The TRUE Shinigami power comes within his True Bankai, which impersonates the Hollow powers in his body (The Horn), and not one, but TWO Swords, one black sword, his quincy powers, and one white sword, his shinigami powers. Every form of Ichigo (Except Vasto Lorde) is a fusion of all his 3 Energies and "races" contained within. Mugetsu uses all the powers he had, but is a SHINIGAMI technique, not quincy related at all.
Actually everything Ichigo has done other than mugetsu and his hollow abilities were his quincy abilities. Old man zangetsu himself said he steered Ichigo away from his soul reaper abilities. Further they are all abilities that Quincys have. Gathering and concentrating Reiatsu. Also his shinigami abilities are all tied into his soul reaper abilities. When he uses his hollow abilities then he is using his soul reaper abilities.

Old man zangetsu is his quincy power. Anything that came from him including tensuga is quincy. White is both his hollow and soul reaper powers. Old man zangetsu was holding them back
Actually the Final Getsuga Tensho is more than likely using not just his quincy powers but actually all parts of his powers since OMZ and White fused when he learned the technique.
Actually every time Ichigo became a soul reaper until the point of the fight with Yhwach it was his quincy power attempting to imitate the power of a soul reaper so he wouldn't rely on the actual power of a soul reaper and end up dying in the line of duty
For most of the series ichigo was using his quincy powers as black zangetsu was supressing white. Mugets is the final stage of hos soul reaper powets where he becomes one with his zanpokto(white zangetsu and black ar residing within.) Its his whole powers toghether.
Considering his father, Isshin, knew about that form, taught him how to use that form, knew it would take Ichigo's powers away... I'd say it isn't. Why would Isshin, a Soul Reaper, know that much, how to train it, and how to use it? Especially when Ichigo's mother never really learned much about Quincy powers and wasn't good at using them, wasn't trained either.

I recall when ishida discover rukia saying something about red ribbons are for shinigamis and blue ones are for humans, only the quincy can see, later in anime (dont remember if was the same chapter), ichigo could sense the ribbons too. The last one was in the 3rd movie, when ichigo and renji were locating rukia and the hollow, ichigo could sense the rukia reiatsu and "the red ribbon" shows the way ( :p ).
Mugetsu was all of Ichigo’s powers. Both zangetsu and his Quincy powers were fused. Zangetsu is his shinigami and hollow powers. While his Quincy powers take the form of Yhwach. So to not confuse myself or others I’ll just call him Ihwach. Back when Ihwach was pretending to be Zangetsu and treating Zangetsu as if he were Ichigo’s hollow powers, Ihwach switched from old man Yhwach to Young Yhwach. Remember when Zangetsu(white/whatever you want to call him) and Ihwach(imposter zangetsu/Ichigo’s Quincy powers) fused together. Mugetsu is the final Getsuga tensho of a ichigo who has become an ascendant being. The red eyes and black hair was the sign of his quincy powers with Mugetsu. No mugetsu isn’t just a Quincy thing as his father was the one who taught the move. Plus let’s say the only thing we’ll change would be ichigo wouldn’t had been a Quincy, everything else stays the same except for his Quincy ancestry. Ichigo’s Mugetsu would’ve still been far more special than any other shiba clan member as his shinigami and hollow powers would’ve still been one single entity.
When we see shinigami powers being used its always coloured blue but when we see quincy powerd being used uts almost always white with a different coloured outline we also see that yhwachs Quincy powers is black this is just a theory but ichigos mugetsu has a blue outline (shinigami powers) and a black interior (quincy powers) Ithink this shows how much Quincy powers ichigo has

Mugetsu/Final Getsuga Tensho isn't a quincy ability. His father has it too. I theorize that all zanpakuto are capable of a "final attack" like that that drains the users shinigami powers, just it's kind of a taboo to use. It would explain how Urahara knew what Ichigo was going to experience while losing his powers, as well as how to restore them.
Ichigo's Shinigami power actually suppressing something. Like what Zangetsu said, he supressing something inside Ichigo, and afraid of it will hurting him. And we got another clue from White Ichigo that what he afraid from Ichigo is not Zangetsu. So, Inside White Ichigo and Quincy power is constantly on fight. Zangetsu is suppressing Ichigo's Quincy power. So, that Quincy and Hollow inside ichigo is in balance and not destroying Ichigo. And what happen when Ichigo release and tribute Zangetsu, his Shinigami power is actually The Surge of Power from Quincy eating Shinigami and Hollow power.
Final Getsuga was more like a plot device to reset Ichigo since he was way way too strong after the Dangai training. From Aizens fully charged attack his arm only got burnt and that was without trying to attack or deflect anything. Do note he was already blowing away mountains with just his sword and never used a single Getsuga tenshou attack, nor did he hollowfy in that fight. Man's was too OP
Actually ichigo is a hollow (white is his soul) and quincy (his body ) and he became a shinigami thanks to urahara (there is literraly a training arc for it ) he is not a fullbringer (in the normal way) since he dosent have a piece of the soul king inside of him but he can use fullbring because he is a mix three races (like the soul king)

If TK wasn't pulling so much stuff OUT OF HIS ASS near the end of TYBW then after The Final Getsuga Tenshou what we should've gotten is The Substitute Quincy arc. Where Uryu learns about Ichigo's mother being a pure blood Quincy and realizing with no Shinigami powers Ichigo could now learn how to use his Quincy abilities. Which would make Ichigo & Uryu almost like brothers and really drive up the drama as the Quincy King makes his grand return. It totally erases the maligned Fullbring arc and it makes more sense from a logic standpoint because Yhwach needed Ichigo to expend all of his Shinigami power before his Quincy abilities would trigger.
While there is presense of quincy reiatsu in the final getsuga tensho, it is not a quincy technique, the main difference between the final getsuga tensho and the letz stil is that the letz stil requires the use and destruction of the sanrei glove to achieve while the final getsuga tensho is a learned ability
That was my first idea of Mugetsu there when Ive heard that Ichigo is also a quincy. Like literally, you can deduce it from Letzt Still. And if not from that, then why does Isshin know of this technique? Well, because he knew Masaki was a Quincy, capable of performing Letzt Still if needed. It all makes sense.

This is supported by old man zangetsu and white becoming one and Dangai ichigo merging with his bankai. It’s just not as complete since only a small percentage of his Quincy powers were accessible hence it was sorta forced.

It gets confirmed in CFYOW novels as blut vene power. Hikone is shown to do the same and zaraki remembers ichigo had done this in his fight in SS arc
The best version of this I've heard, that makes a little more sense is that narratively Mugetsu can be seen as all of Ichigo's powers forming into one state. The idea being that the Mugetsu is subconsciously modelled after the Letz Stil but also just as much based on his Hollow powers and his Shinigami powers.
I believe your interpretation to be the most likely...(until Kubo says something otherwise). We've never seen Isshin use his mugetsu, so we don't have an accurate idea of the drawbacks, but we did see a similar quincy ability (Letz Stihl) and it's drawbacks are mighty similar. Also, it tracks that Ichigo would have gotten back his powers eventually since the only other example (Uryuu) got back his in a similar way

You could argue it's similar to both a Getsuga Tenshu, Cero, AND Letz Stihl in being a massive projectile. He references becoming death in a way, which as an endpoint feels far more Shinigami than Quincy and Aizen's constant references to Ichigo's unreadable spiritual pressure heavily implies he became a being even an Aizen likely able to conquer Soul Society couldn't understand. For me that's partly from how strong he is, but also likely due to the effect the Dangai training had of fusing his different sword entities (At the time) into one being.

But that, in no way, makes it utilise "letz stil" into FGT. Because letz stil is activated via the quincy tool.

He wasnt a god that created the universe, the only race that came from him did so indirectly by the quincies coming from his son, though in a sense you could say he was the first quincy as well.
But I agree that it doesnt matter that Isshin taught him about the final. Its a form that was mentioned more than once in the canon. Very few knew about it but those that did spoke of it as though ot were just another shinigami ability. Albeit one that is a lot harder to attain than a bankai. 1. When it comes to ichigo black reiatsu historically means hollow powers.
2. Getsuga is a shinigami twchnique since isshin knew it even before he met misaki.
3. Final getsuga being a wuincy technique would just be redundant since the letz steel does the same thing.
4. Final getsuga is supposed to be taught by the zanpaktou spirit, you could say that isshin was just lying and that its actually supposed to be taught by yhwach but isshin would have no way of knowing that yhwach was pretending to be his zanpaktou spirit.
It was way sooner, because Getsuga Tensho is an ability that collects energy from around and then releases it as a powerful slash. Only quincies gather energy from their surroundings to fight, so it was way way sooner.
He also probably got a quincy amp against kenpachi in ss. Zangetsu covered him with that black aur type then ichigo got back up and got way stronger,and in his final clash with kenpachi,his eyes were glistening blue aswell.
from what I recall, this was old man Zangetsu using blut veine on the wound to stop the bleeding and Ichigo achieving albeit brief, a sync or he more or less surrendered to the representation of the powers to channel them

I think the first actual use of Quincy ability from Ichigo was all throughout the first chapter. Hollows are attracted to them, which is how ichigo becomes a target. Breaking the binding hado, Quincies can manipulate the reiatsu and straight up absorb it if they choose, ie Ishida absorbing the buildings during his battle with Captain Kurotsuchi. Then taking Rukia's blade was like a coronation, and he took all of her reiatsu just like reforging Zangetsu took all the water...

That Ichigo has been relying mainly on his quincy powers disguised as his shinigami powers. Zangetsu's bankai is actually him using his quincy powers and White is actually the fusion of his hollow and shinigami powers. That's what I remember from like four months ago reading the manga, so I could be wrong.
Close but ichigo is a quincy that had a hollow as his soul (his soul is white ) and that later became a shinigami thanks to urahara's training making his soul (white) his true zanpakuto but since he was born as a quincy ( and all quincy come from Yhwach and have a little bit of him inside their soul ) his quincy part took control of his shinigami/hollow powers and only let him use a little part of them.

First time was actually the first against renji. Whenever ichigo got "focussed" in the first episodes his aura always turned blue. Once his hollow powers took more of his power over his reiatsu also got darker especially with bankai

Its shinigami power, which is last resort attack that is kept as secret since shinigami loses power. Its a getsuga, a shinigami/ zanpakuto technique. Theres a couple going oh his hair being balck and long is just like yuha. Hisnhairnis long due to the hollow presence. Ichigos energy is black when its used in tandem with hollow. Juha's only displayed black energy post taking the soulkings power. If it was a quincy technique in anyway it would have had a quincy name or it would have been like yumechikas zanpakuto, it would hav3 worked to a very diminished effect.
Everytime Ichigo used bleu getsuga tenshou, it was quincy power.
Ichingo's dad being able to use final getsuga is slightly wrong. He knows of it and how to learn it, but he really couldnt even if he wanted to because it requires that their bankai spirit teach it to them of which his flat refused to teach it, incase it used it.
That technique is a sacrificial move one of which for almost anyone besides ichigo is no different than cutting off the connection built between your bankai spirt and reitsu abilities and the user.(it should kill soul reapers)
Every time he slashes zangetsu and unleashed a blast it was his quincy ability mixed with his shinigami powers. He's been using both since day one thats why we see the struggle for hollow Ichigo taking control because its his true power that zangetsu (the embodiment of his quincy power) is stated as having suppressed ichigos abilities.
Because the supposed final getsuga is the fused form of the Quincy and hollow spirit perfected. But because he didn't yet master the Vasto Lorde form, so the Quincy part took a majority portion of power to combine the two souls, that's why Ichigo didn't go berserk against aizen.

Mugetsu is a technique of the Soul Reapers old families that Ichigo's Father taught him, even tough it used his quincy powers, it also used all of his other powers. In reality, both Bankai and Shikai of Ichigo are a merge of his Quincy and Shinigami powers, Zangetsu says it himself. Getsuga Tensho, Bankai, Shikai, those were all QUINCY powers trying to mimic what a Soul Reaper power would be. The TRUE Shinigami power comes within his True Bankai, which impersonates the Hollow powers in his body (The Horn), and not one, but TWO Swords, one black sword, his quincy powers, and one white sword, his shinigami powers. Every form of Ichigo (Except Vasto Lorde) is a fusion of all his 3 Energies and "races" contained within. Mugetsu uses all the powers he had, but is a SHINIGAMI technique, not quincy related at all.
Actually everything Ichigo has done other than mugetsu and his hollow abilities were his quincy abilities. Old man zangetsu himself said he steered Ichigo away from his soul reaper abilities. Further they are all abilities that Quincys have. Gathering and concentrating Reiatsu. Also his shinigami abilities are all tied into his soul reaper abilities. When he uses his hollow abilities then he is using his soul reaper abilities.

Actually every time Ichigo became a soul reaper until the point of the fight with Yhwach it was his quincy power attempting to imitate the power of a soul reaper so he wouldn't rely on the actual power of a soul reaper and end up dying in the line of duty

For most of the series ichigo was using his quincy powers as black zangetsu was supressing white. Mugets is the final stage of hos soul reaper powets where he becomes one with his zanpokto(white zangetsu and black ar residing within.) Its his whole powers toghether.

Considering his father, Isshin, knew about that form, taught him how to use that form, knew it would take Ichigo's powers away... I'd say it isn't. Why would Isshin, a Soul Reaper, know that much, how to train it, and how to use it? I recall when ishida discover rukia saying something about red ribbons are for shinigamis and blue ones are for humans, only the quincy can see, later in anime (dont remember if was the same chapter), ichigo could sense the ribbons too. The last one was in the 3rd movie, when ichigo and renji were locating rukia and the hollow, ichigo could sense the rukia reiatsu and "the red ribbon" shows the way ( :p ).

Remember when Zangetsu(white/whatever you want to call him) and Ihwach(imposter zangetsu/Ichigo’s Quincy powers) fused together. Mugetsu is the final Getsuga tensho of a ichigo who has become an ascendant being. The red eyes and black hair was the sign of his quincy powers with Mugetsu. No mugetsu isn’t just a Quincy thing as his father was the one who taught the move. Plus let’s say the only thing we’ll change would be ichigo wouldn’t had been a Quincy, everything else stays the same except for his Quincy ancestry. Ichigo’s Mugetsu would’ve still been far more special than any other shiba clan member as his shinigami and hollow powers would’ve still been one single entity.
When we see shinigami powers being used its always coloured blue but when we see quincy powerd being used uts almost always white with a different coloured outline we also see that yhwachs Quincy powers is black this is just a theory but ichigos mugetsu has a blue outline (shinigami powers) and a black interior (quincy powers)

Mugetsu/Final Getsuga Tensho isn't a quincy ability. His father has it too. I theorize that all zanpakuto are capable of a "final attack" like that that drains the users shinigami powers, just it's kind of a taboo to use. It would explain how Urahara knew what Ichigo was going to experience while losing his powers, as well as how to restore them.

So, Inside White Ichigo and Quincy power is constantly on fight. Zangetsu is suppressing Ichigo's Quincy power. So, that Quincy and Hollow inside ichigo is in balance and not destroying Ichigo.
And what happen when Ichigo release and tribute Zangetsu, his Shinigami power is actually The Surge of Power from Quincy eating Shinigami and Hollow power.

Final Getsuga was more like a plot device to reset Ichigo since he was way way too strong after the Dangai training. From Aizens fully charged attack his arm only got burnt and that was without trying to attack or deflect anything. Do note he was already blowing away mountains with just his sword and never used a single Getsuga tenshou attack, nor did he hollowfy in that fight. Man's was too OP

Actually ichigo is a hollow (white is his soul) and quincy (his body ) and he became a shinigami thanks to urahara (there is literraly a training arc for it ) he is not a fullbringer (in the normal way) since he dosent have a piece of the soul king inside of him but he can use fullbring because he is a mix three races (like the soul king)

If TK wasn't pulling so much stuff OUT OF HIS ASS near the end of TYBW then after The Final Getsuga Tenshou what we should've gotten is The Substitute Quincy arc. Where Uryu learns about Ichigo's mother being a pure blood Quincy and realizing with no Shinigami powers Ichigo could now learn how to use his Quincy abilities. Which would make Ichigo & Uryu almost like brothers and really drive up the drama as the Quincy King makes his grand return. It totally erases the maligned Fullbring arc and it makes more sense from a logic standpoint because Yhwach needed Ichigo to expend all of his Shinigami power before his Quincy abilities would trigger.

That was my first idea of Mugetsu there when Ive heard that Ichigo is also a quincy. Like literally, you can deduce it from Letzt Still. And if not from that, then why does Isshin know of this technique? Well, because he knew Masaki was a Quincy, capable of performing Letzt Still if needed. It all makes sense.
