Singapore is so safe even if you stay in the red light district. Geylang has everything , cheaper rent (compared to other city fringe areas) near East Coast bars and restaurants - 3km to Tanjong Katong etc Suntec. People should rly explore that area more
Actually Geylang is probably one of the safest places in Singapore, not that anywhere else is unsafe, but the amount of CCTV monitoring, the numbers of people at anytime of day or night, and the 24-hour food scene make it especially super safe.
It is very true! CCTVs are everywhere on the main road including the side lanes, and corners. You can hide, but cant run away! If one get into trouble with the laws, in less than 24hrs, one gets caught just as quickly.! Women knows very well, its safe to walk the streets alone even at wee hours! We cant say the same up north! Welcome to Singapore!
Also police know stuff happens around there so they're pretty vigilant around the area. you can probably spot quite a few police cars if you walk around
lovely to listen to her. Appreciate her sensitivity, down to earth attitude, and openness towards Singapore. I lived in Geylang in until our area was redeveloped (Lor 29). Never thought it was a bad place to live in. It's just that I get comments from other people.
The Singaporean expression "to send you home" seems to be a direct translation of the Chinese expression "送你回家" (which applies to intimate friends and close acquaintances)
Everytime a friend informs me that he/she is divorced, I congratulate them. It's because they get another opportunity to live their lives but differently the second time around. I always say take the time to know yourself and not rush into another relationship.
Great vid. Thank you. Wish you a PR eventually Sasha! All the very best and you’re welcome to stay in Singapore if it rocks your boat. We are hardly perfect but at least we feel safe on the streets as our our families. Everything runs like clockwork. It’s neat and generally clean. Lovely parks. Lovely food. Hot humid weather. A tad small but that’s what the world’s for, to travel through. Singapore will always be home for us.
20:19 is where i know WHY she's a comedian, she's so witty and quick! also she doesnt LOOK 40!!! When she said she had been building her career for 20 years I was thinking you can't have been working in a bank since you were 10, can you?
19:58: My favourite Part begins at the end. Other favourite parts, I am glad there is at least one woman in this world who thinks she is not impressed with your money or talent. She is impressed with your Humbleness.
Geylang is a hidden gem! It's at a convenient location close to town and PLQ & Paya Lebar Sq. MRT stations are all within short walking distance. The environment is really vibrant and full of culture/history and best of all, easy to find nice cheap food almost anywhere. A goto place for expat renters as rent there is very reasonable for now.
age just a number and passion make you stay better and young for each day. I like this cute lady (Sasha Frank🌻) with positive mindset💕 >>From SG chinese guy😁
I read something about Brad Pitt having face blindness recently and thought it is just something far away in hollywood A listers circle. And hearing it in maxx channel makes it become so real and nearby
hi ! I wouldnt know have a chance to know sasha through here , she is a truly unique lady of character and personality .hope to hear from you soon cheers
She lost me when she said she we had the best food and for the art scene, we don’t have much influence or exposure to art, sports or music because our government always push for academic.. our food proportions are getting smaller and getting expensive and not as tasty as last time in the older days.. so she definitely lost me.. and I also don’t really enjoy Singaporeans sense of humour.. I’m local but I do like sarcasm and witty jokes which are really something I don’t hear frequently here.. so I turn to Korean or American shows for the humour
That place has its shady history which the govt is trying to clean up slowly but she is right about the amenities in the area and can easily get food even in late hours.
Damn.. i have face blindness, too. I dated the same girl twice and didnt knew that i dated her till she told me. But at least, i am quite consistent in the women i dated, yeah? 😅
You can have another relationship for companionship and sex after divorce but do not fall in love. Then you can enjoy the single life as well as all the coupling you like.
Sasha, I have a way to cure YOUR facial blindness...... I can write numbers on my face since you are in finance. 😂 Let's grab dinner.... Macdonald sounds ok?

Well, you may not have scratched deep below the surface ;-). Singaporeans can be brutally honest about things when you get to know them, and that honesty itself is quite humourous. Especially when it comes to "forbidden" joking about things that are not politically correct by Western standards.
Irony. I can be slow when I don't have the context. I do struggle with sarcasm when directed at my community, friends or me. Should I feel offended? Did you want me to feel offended?

@Sashafrank_comedy U do know your 1 singular experience is now broadcast many times on this video, now more people are gonna stereotype the already very misunderstood Singaporean man? This Rolex behavior is not limited to Singaporeana. In fact most sporean men are humble and many of the rich here dress shabbily to avoid attention
Hi Lawrence. That terrible date that I describe was with a British guy! Not a singaporean. I’ve had lovely experiences dating Singaporeans. The title of this interview and the comment I made about my worst date, are unrelated!
Truth is most white women dont usually date singaporean men (something they probably they wont tell you), but i do agree that the video may seem to suggest the rolex guy is singaporean 😂
Hi Lawrence. See my reply on your other comment. That date was not with a singaporean man! The video is not only about my experiences with singaporean men 😊
She is tripping hard......"best food in the world"? Yeah sure.....NOT, not even top 10! "amazing art scene"? Is that even a joke? The first few minutes totally lost me as it was beyond ridiculous! But I understand, business is business, she cannot say otherwise!
maybe coming from British makes everything else in the world the best haha, but yea, that's her trying too hard, and honestly, you can't be too blunt in this channel, most ppl here give me a vibe that 'I'm here to say good things about SG so please give me the PR or pls visit my biz', no one dares to say anything bad about SG here without expecting locals barking back. sorry if you're from SG but this is what I have observed about SG ppl online.

yeah, why not. its almost city central.
Yes at least once in a lifetime because it’s cool to tell people that
I do.
lor 22, man of culture must visit.
Geylang now is a far cry from what it used to be but I prefer the East Coast area.
Singapore is so safe even if you stay in the red light district. Geylang has everything , cheaper rent (compared to other city fringe areas) near East Coast bars and restaurants - 3km to Tanjong Katong etc Suntec. People should rly explore that area more
That's true and the rental is not cheap. Probably the safest red light district in SEA.
She's so charismatic and fun. I'm glad she's happier now. 😊
And she doesn't even look 40.. I thought she was like 33 or thereabouts.
Very very kind of you both to say. Thank you ❤

Racial stereotypical jokes are fine in the right context such as comedy shows. Generally, Singaporeans don't get offended easily.
