âNah, I had turkey for lunch.â I think about that line every almost every day
Richard Kind with that dial up internet connection.
Susie is the sweetest, most patient person ever. Who knew??
Jeff has ADHD⊠Iâd hope everyone would be patient with someone with it. Sadly, based on this comments, heâs not getting much support.
â@@rellman85so having a diagnosis gives you the right to act however you want towards others?
@@rellman85 everyone has a diagnosis nowadays if you hadn't noticed. It doesn't give you an excuse to be rude.
Shelley Berman's performance in awkwardly telling Larry that his mother had died took this show to another level. I also agree with Jeff that the whole mantra thing wasn't all that funny.
Shelley steals the show in this one in every scene. Even when he's not talking, watch his reactions. The guy was a legend.
The scene where Nat tells Larry that his mother died, and she didn't want to spoil your time in NY, she told me not to bother you. This is the funniest scene I've ever seen in my life. Nothing tops it. I think it takes the overprotective mother stereotype to its most extreme.
đ€Ą
Larryâs inflection of âSâNSANE!â when his dad says she didnât want to bother you is how I say the word âInsaneâ to this day.đ
Shelley Berman as Larryâs father was one of the most realistically acted (while still being hilarious) performances in the show.
bring on the great Richard Kind, and donât give him a second to speak đ
Jeff only gets more obnoxious as this series goes on. Hard to watch
â@@billfletcher7602 It was Susie's fault... đ€Ą
Jeff was on another level with the interruptions on this one
I was thinking that too
And by the way...
No one cares.....Literally 0 đ€Ą
Richard is hilarious đ every episode heâs in he kills it
The Black Swan is his best episode
whoever edited the video: there should have been three rectangles more often on the screen to see all the speakers.
I agree with Jeff on that being the greatest curb scene. I always think back to it
Big Jeff fan here. â€

This is my favourite Curb episode!! I haven't even watched the podcast yet, but knowing that Richard Kind is on with both of you is such a treat. Thank you, Suzy & Jeff, so much. You're all so amazing!!! đ
Excellent episode and podcast!
Iâm surprised it dropped on time - I figured thereâd be a crispy onions delay.
So badly want to see those scenes Jeff discussed that were removed due to time restraints.
Iâm so glad it exists on VHS, please at least persuade Jeff to show it to Larry.
Please preserve it, backup, any and all Curb scenes! Iâm visualizing the four of you on the curb (pardon the pun), and it just feels like a classic scene the way Jeff described it.
Not to mention all of Susieâs best scenes that Larry ruined with laughter, lol.
I had turkey for lunch fucking hilarious
Richard Kind is honestly my favorite side character on the show (side meaning not part of the main 8 cast).
Which 8.....Funkhauser isn't a main..
@@jsmithers. google âcurb final episode plane sceneâ itâs the first image. it shows the 7 cast members im referring to , minus bob Einstein who passed.
Yay! Another episode of âAnd By The Way⊠with Jeff Garlinâ! đ
đ
Funniest part is he had a podcast years ago called By the Way
It's a new drinking game.
@@noone7138 Garlin was off the charts with the interruptions. Susie must on valium to get thru it.
Richard Kind got his webcam from Temu.
They should just let Jeff host the show alone. At least there would be nobody there for him to interrupt.
jeff not revealing who else auditioned for larry's dad is why this pod can get dull at times. there's not enough behind the scenes stuff, it's too safe. i get that they're still working in the industry but c'mon, give us something
Those actors have probably all passed on by now, just tell the names they won't mind haha
Jeff hasnât taken the notes. Havenât listened to this in ages because he ruins every episode. Was excited for this one since itâs RK. Alas, nothings changed. Jeff is beyond obnoxious.
Richard Kind is the greatest and kindest. Dear Susie â€ïž No comments needed. She holds the show. Everything else has been said.
take a shot everytime jeff says "and by the way"
đ€Ą
Jeff you should tell Larry to do what the Seinfeld show did and to release bloopers and outtakes. That would make the show more legendary.
They could have been included as DVD extras.
Richard Kind what a legend, the most adorable man ever to live
have you listened to all his episodes on the gilbert podcast
Wtf...
There is/was a restaurant on Long Island called Jai Ya and I'd laugh every time I drove by.
Richard Kind is my spirit animal.
Shelly Berman & Bob Einstein, best supporting actors on Curb. Still pissed Marty slighted with call backs in finale .
The irony is, I now SO associate Richard with Cousin Andy, it would be hard to cast him as anyone else! Any episode he appears in gets a little BOUNCE... Love the dynamic with Larry, he's the perfect "punchbag"! Larry can be FOUL to him, and he just brushes it off in a puppyish way x
It's a very similar dynamic to Kyle's cousin Kyle from South Park. He's annoying, a bit pathetic, and completely unshakeable - it's brilliant.
I loved him with Kathy Bates for a couple episodes of âdisjointedâ
I adore Richard Kind--one of a kind!!
2 minutes in and it feels this is gonna be fun.
Larry's dad was a great character
What a waste of a great guest
Jeff "by the way I need to hear my own voice and interrupt everyone" Garlin. Shut the hell up once in awhile. Seriously Jeff.
Heâs giving out gems
I am known as a curb die hard fan so when Jeff was fired from his cbs show, people came to me for comment. I said i know Jeff and i reckon the others are the problem for having no sense of humor. This podcast has completely changed my mind. What a beloved aunt
I really love this podcast episode. The chemistry between Susie, Richard and Jeff is great. Hearing about scenes that were cut. I would have loved to see the digging scenes that were cut! And I agree that the mediation storyline isnât strong and that the breakfast scene should have been directly after the graveyard scene.
Oh wow!! Within a minute I was laughing my head off, but had these three great people enjoy working off of each other. You guys bring so much joy to my life. Thank you â€â€
I donât know how many times Jeff used a personal pronoun (me, myself, I) but Jeff sets a new record in this CYE podcast. He uses âIâ at least 200 times. Jeff, no one cares who you love, why you love, how you love or anything about your opinions. Jeff had a scene get cut from this episode, and he spends half of this podcast complaining it was cut. If I want to listen to bitching and moaning and whining and endless grievance, Iâll try to make it through 10 minutes of a Trump speech. Listeners, every time Jeff begins a sentence with âBy the way,â fast forward the pod by at least one minute because he prattles on and on and on about nothing important. The Curb podcast has become almost unlistenable because of his inane and pointless comments. Susie, you have my unending sympathy.
Jesus, you are so correct man! I can not get through these Curb Podcasts, with out thinking what a dope Jeff is, but more exclusively, he is an insecure narcissist.
đđ»đđ
guys, heâs the executive producer and one of the main stars of the showâŠ.
@@ramimemo and he would be the first one to tell you that lol
@@Tom-kv8wy come oon đ you have to give respect when itâs due
Itâs awesome to hear ALL the great parts of this ep confirmed by these three great geniuses.
So greatful for this showâ€
Richard Kind, a guy who is so smarmy, but so funny. Larry had a point that Richard is too well known, because now that he is known from Curb you notice him all over the place in all kinds of movies and parts.
Shelly Berman always reminded me of Jack Benny, or that era of comedy.
This was a great episode.
I wonder if you guys will ever show sympathy for poor Cheryl Hines Kennedy who is stuck married to a lunatic?
I am have not been listening recently because of Jeff and his constant self involved interruption, and I can see it still hasnât improved. I hope he can adjust
Iâm shocked they still let Jeff do these podcasts. He makes them literally unlistenable and unwatchable. As a diehard curb fan, Iâm disgusted that no one will stand up to Jeff and tell him to stay away.
100% agree. Also, so disappointed that I'm now completely turned off to Jeff Garlin as a person now
He really is unlistenable and itâs unfortunate.
Kindly Saying... The "dysfunctionality " here makes this show perfectly Functional đđ» Love ya guys
This was without a doubt, the most annoying episode, all because of Jeff. If he doesnât know how annoying he is, someone in the production should realize it, and either lessen his role, or get him off of it entirely.
Nobody at all cares.....StfĂč and leave
Andy was such a great character
Iâd love to be able to listen to this show. As has been said by many, it is unlistenable because of JGs massive ego and the mind boggling amount of interruptions. Susie is an evolved human being. My gawd.
Was Richard Kind on this pod? I couldn't tell.
36:47 it's nice knowing LD had a good time on the pod
''very well attended'' lmao!!!
Please show us the cut scenes on this podcast !!!! đđŒđđŒđđŒ
Poor Richard Kind, with little time to speak given Jeff's endless dominating of the conversation. By the way. This might be a record. He's unlistenable.
Didn't you think Jeff tried to make time for Richard more than Susie did?
@@user-yn7yo1co3kidk what you were listening to Jeff talks like 70% of the time the guest got like 2 minutes total air time
@@user-yn7yo1co3kno.
Having heard Richard on Gilbertâs podcast many times, he can hold his own, and I wonder if in this case it was the audio. I hope he comes back as heâs very funny -but with better audio thatâs not clipped or odd.
So rude to cut a person off mid sentence. I don't know how they can put up with him.
Susie has a wonderful spirit.
Not that Jeff will read this, but I very much appreciated his aside about the Amelie movie which I also love. So much so that I visited all its filming locations the one and only time I went to Paris.
Good god. By the wayâŠ.
Bit of trivia, it was Bob Newhart who was the first Grammy winner for a comedy album, whom back in the day was friends with Shelley. Very surprised Jeff who is a comedy historian goofed that one. Richard Kind is one of the funniest character actors ever, simply Fab!! Tend to think of him as an 11 yr old stuck in a mans body with some of the actions and comments when in character. Terrific to see him on the show. Susie and Jeff please keep the podcast going, you're both fabulous. Cheers to you both and thank you both for the time and effort ya'll put into this.
The premise of this episode with Larry's Mom not wanting to bother him when she passes, toooo Funny!! Could see my own elderly Mom doing the same, never wanting to impose on anyone, even in death. LOL
This actually Kind of happened to me, My Uncle and Aunt Died while I was in Iraq and when I came Home. My Mom and Dad told me That they did not want to tell Me Because they did not want to Worry me.
loved season 3 episode 6 of the podcast with richard i'll look forward to more stories and guest interviews love from culver city california socal la area â€ïž
36:50 please bump Jeff and let both Larry and Richard on that episode
I agree with Jeff, the scene where Larry's dad tells him his mother died is the funniest scene in the whole of curb.
How would Jeff feel if others didn't afford him the courtesy of finishing his sentences and points? They should try it
This scene always reminded me about the joke where's the dog. The dog is on the roof, and it turns out the dog is dead. Then they ask, where is mom ... on the root. I don't remember the joke because I am not a comedia, but I remember on the roof.
Another great episode, although I think Richard Kind might have had more of a look in! Jeff can use "by the way" as a passive-aggressive way to make it The Jeff Show. He is a co-presenter and can take his time. Relax, Jeff, there is time for all the anecdotes within interrupting someone 10% through their own anecdote đ You're like an excited kid.
a friend of mine knows susie essman, maybe he can tell her how annoying jeff is
dear Richard Kind is such a gentleman...
Can you imagine someone is making a turkey, an all day affair and he just nah I had turkey for lunch. đ€Łđ€Łđ
Jeff you need to drop some of those unreleased footage of a lot of scenes đ«Ą
48:22 oh jeff.
Jeff I donât know why youâre always in such a hurry to tell your by the way stories. Relax, you have time. They always feel so rushed đ
Anyone watching this pod for the first time would assume Jeff was the guest due to the obscene amount of time he took up. **BREAKING NEWS** ... He does the same thing every week. If it's just him and Susie, Jeff awards himself 80% of the time slot. If they have a guest he kindly gives up 10% leaving himself with 'just' 70% of the air time. He was incredibly oafish and rude again but on this episode it was two or three times which just made it even more noticeable and therefore even more rude. The fact he took umbrage when Susie and Richard didn't hang on his every word tells you all you need to know.
Can someone tell Jeff to cut it with the âby the waysâ? Genug!!!
God Iâd love to see those vhs tapes that Jeff mentions
The asides don't bother me as much as actively interrupting Susie and the guest(s) mid-sentence. Richard Kind barely got in a word. It has made me turn it off before but I stick it out bc I love the show.
Amazing that Jeff didnt interrupt scenes on Curb. Couldve taken them days to do a scene if he interrupted at this level
Not shocked to see why they killed off Jeff's character on the Goldbergs sooner than planned.
That jah ya was not funny and I stand on this. The cemetery scene wouldâve been sooo much better đ
Is it impossible to re-cut the episode? Why?
It's Bing Bong!
Garlin it's not about you, Aries, moon or rising? â€
My favourite curb episode!
People saying shit about Jeff interrupting. Jeff and Richard have known each other for years, they said so in this episode. Susie and Jeff and besties. I assure you if they wanted Jeff to stop interrupting or thought it was rude, they'd tell him. Susie even addressed it in a past episode of the podcast. And she did not give a shit.
So we have to tolerate his rudeness because they do? Nah, that's not how the world works.
@@jankelly2003 They have said in a previous episode of the podcast "if you don't like Jeff interrupting and the way the show goes then don't watch." In fact it was Susie who said it. So in this case yes, yes it is the way the world works cause it's their show and they have control of their show.
@@APeekBehindTheCurtain So Harvey Weinstein's defence should have been "if women don't like the way I behave in my hotel room, don't come to my hotel room!. Again, not how the world works. If you behave badly expect to be called out on it rather than trying to deflect the blame for your bad behaviour on to those who question it.
@@jankelly2003 Well if you have this power you seem to believe you have feel free to reach out to Susie and and Jeff and tell them you want changes made and asap! Go for it.
You seem to not be able to grasp the fact that this isn't your podcast and thus have absolutely no power regarding the actions of the individuals involved in this podcast. Susie has already addressed this: Don't like it, don't watch. Her words not mine.
Once again if you believe you have the power to change this podcast then make the changes.
@@APeekBehindTheCurtain I've never claimed nor implied I have the power to change anything re this podcast. What I do have is the right to call out what I see as odious, oafish behaviour by Jeff. If Susie chooses to overlook it hence excusing his behaviour that's her choice but it doesn't mean the rest of us have to.
I already had turkey for lunch đ
48:21 Jeff's Epiphany. We do like your side bars but you could reduce them and not squash others mid flow bro
I think the interplay between Shelly Berman and Moneena was one of the funniest things I've ever seen - not in this episode
Have to say how much I love Jeff. Fing hilarious nice to hear his perspective even if he wants to say oh by the way....đ Wouldn't be Curb with out him
Do not bother Larry !
Wonderful episode. Shame about Richardâs audio. He was always hilarious on Gilbertâs podcast. Here the audio killed his incredible comedy. Separately, thanks Jeff and Susie for this great podcast series!
Rename the podcast: âAnd, by the way!â lol, Jeff, youâre avuncular. Must be your adhd. Still love you, but damn, you interrupt a lot, dude! Total legend. When Richard Lewis was on this pod for The Thong episode, Richie barely got a few lines in. Jeff talked over him and dominated the conversation. Same with Richard Kind in this episode. Kind barely spoke on this.
How old are these episodes banked?
Sheesh i love these but jeff needs a shock collar
Richard kind is awesome. Since bugs life. Rip Bing bong đą
Just don't think I can do this again with Jeff blabbering
I've been watching every episode of this podcast, but I don't understand why some episodes are inundated with commercials-- the kind that cut in right in the middle of a sentence every few minutes, and some of them are those 20 minute-long infomercials, making the show pretty unwatchable.
Lol Larry hates Bar Mitzvah đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
He wasn't a great middle... (kidding, just happy they had Richard on!!)
Jeff is insufferable⊠itâs unbelievable
Jeff has the Walter Payton gear love it đ»âŹïž
maybe Jeff doesnt like richard kind...this was his worst fuck everyone else episode by far...
He acts the same way towards all guests
As much as we love Larry's contagious laughter, Jeff's squeaky Laugh at 20:22 is just as funny, cracks me up every time!!!
Too many Karens in the comments trying to ruin it for everybody. Do the JA YA meditation.
Great show as usualâ€
