Note: (The show can be anxiety inducing at times) From cast to crew, this show is phenomenal. And, I am proud to say we have an iconic slowburn romance back on tv. I am so happy! Its one of the best shows I have ever watched (and I have watched A LOT) the cinematography, acting and writing are amazing! I have to agree tho, especially the first few episodes totally had me stressed. But it gets better after the first few episodes.
It's funny because they already act like they are in a relationship, how considerate and sweet they are to each other, it's so clear how they feel about each other.
I know right?! They are such a good match! I was soo nervous about what would happen in Season 2. I was like “if they are just friends, I’ll be okay. I really won’t be, but I’ll recover” 😂 But, after them cooking and smiling…and then the shocking episode 9 scenes 😮 I was Team SydCarmy in a heartbeat 🥰 Thank you for watching! 👏🏾

Yep, Carmy and Sydney for the win! I cant wait to see what the writers do with them as business partners, friends and whatever else. Carmy surprised me with that "under the table" convo. ...cause baby... It was loaded ! lol " I couldn't do this without you." oooouu.
At first watch, I was in shock. The writing on this show is SO GOOD. Then, I had to take a moment and rewatch it. By that time I was screaming and fangirling. I love that scene! Thank you for watching! 🤗👏🏾
It's obvious I couldn't do it without her, she was more committed to the obligations of the restaurant.
I will be freaking surprised if they don't end up together romantically because I just can't see it any other way especially with the way he looks at her.....I mean those looks don't lie they just can't....until there is proof that they don't end up romantically together I will continue to believe that it will happen between them!
I'm hunting for Syd & Carmy analysis videos but so far, I've only found ship vids. This was so cute and it really captures the subtleties of why ppl ship these two. The way he looks at her makes me blush sometimes lol 🤭

I like the little gesture they have between them -- circling their hearts with their fists. I hope it doesn't spread to any other characters in the show. I hope it stays as something special between them, whether they end up as a couple or not.
Everybody "ships" Carmy and Sydney. But that's rather like Columbus claiming to have "discovered" an America that was in fact and in every way already there. LIKEWISE, Carmy and Sydney are in the most fundamental ways, ALREADY a couple. Oh, yes, they have their strikingly shared histories: both are wounded, wary, wandering souls. They have their shared extraordinary talent: they are BOTH genius-level artists. They have their lexicon, solely written, understood and spoken between them: finishing each other's sentences, completing each other's works of art, frustrating, wounding, inspiring, healing and moving each other as no others can, do, have, or will.
The beautiful, smart, soulful Claire enters Carmy's life, it is true. But she is of a shared past with him that nearly destroyed him, a past that is already gone, a realm in which only Carmy's dead brother and father live forever, like the ghosts of James Joyce's concluding short story of the Dubliners: The Dead .
By contrast, Sydney-beautiful, brilliant, and skittish Sydney, she who seems unawares of how strikingly, indeed alarmingly beautiful she really is-SHE is the Shock of the New, the transformer and redeemer. She LIVES not as a retreat to the past but as the embodiment of the mythical warrior-redeemer of ancient European and African myths, reborn here and now as the Chi-town girl-next-store who is the "Fire" and Light. For example, while Carmy has ambitions for "The Bear" (both the restaurant and himself), it is in fact but only in HER, Sydney, that the Bear (both restaurant and Carmy) encounter the source of the vision, intellectual discipline, and maker of "fire" (HIS words, not mine) to transform and redeem the once defeated, demoralized, and dissolute staff of the Bear. It is Sydney who transforms the Bear's defeated "brigade" into the cracking, brilliant band of warrior-artisans that they were always meant to become.
And then there is the way -- THAT irrefutable, unmistakable way-- by which Carmy looks at and sees Sydney: it is unmistakable, undeniable, unforgettable. It is the way , the one and only way, one is transfixed by the person of his, her, their desire. It is that which compels Carmy both to flee her and run to her; both resist and surrender himself to her, both lie absurdly (Claire is not the "girlfriend" but rather "is my friend who is a girl") and in a sudden, startling, incandescent moment of Truth, the way Carmy sees her compels him to speak the wholly undeniable Truth of his heart and soul to HER, Sydney. And those words! They are those that he has NEVER truly felt or uttered about anyone but HER, and I quote him verbatim, "I couldn't do this without you....I WOULDN'T EVEN WANT to do this without YOU."
So, let Columbus have his "ship," as it were. But that "undiscovered" country of Carmy and Sydney's? It's already there.It is that realm, place, journey, and destination one recognizes as Love. It always was and will be.
I love this! Im glad you noticed the first meeting story with her dad and incorporated with syd and carmy. It was an intentionally placed scene imo. They fight like a couple too.
Thank you so much! 🤗👏🏾 I love Sydney and her dad's conversation and dynamic. So sweet! When I was editing, I was like "wait a minute the beginning of relationship story fits so well". 😮These writers are incredibly talented. They take their time building each character on that show. It's beautiful.

so happy when i find a video where the music and voice overs are complimentary. neither overwhelms the other, the perfect balance. also love everything about this. it just makes me feel good.

Hey 👋🏾. Hope you've been good. I would argue that it's anxiety inducing all the time. If I checked my blood pressure while watching the show I bet it would be high 😂. It IS such a good show & I'm done with season 2 and currently experiencing withdrawals 😅. SydCarmy will be a very very very slow burn but I don't care, I'm here for it, no matter how long it takes. They are just 😍.

Well you're on the same side as apparently everyone who works on the show lmao. But a lot of us fans disagree. There's an intimacy and chemistry between Carmy and Sydney that feels like more than friendship. Maybe even more than a romantic relationship. Either way it's more interesting than whatever he has with Claire.

I am a definitely a fangirl for Sydney & Carmy, but Sydney & Marcus would be cute too. The writers are this show are excellent. Wherever the writers decide to go, I'll be getting my snacks ready to watch.

Sydney and Marcus would be cute, but I prefer Carmy and Sydney. I think Marcus still needs to grow in terms of his work where as Carmy and Sydney are professional equals now (no longer one being the boss of the other, whereas that power imbalance is still there with Marcus and Sydney) and also I feel Carmy and Sydney are more in sync.
