- Fond of fast-paced dance NanzLifers? Do you enjoy leaping, hopping, skipping and upbeat rhythm, then this dance that we are sharing with you will surely make your heart skip a beat!
Who does not want to improve our cardiovascular endurance? Well, not me! This tinikling dance or bamboo dance - Magunatip in Malaysia obviously helps expand physical movements like hand coordination, foot speed and rhythm. This type of dance - called Tinikling dance in Philippines, Cheraw in Indian culture- involves two or more people beating, tapping and sliding bamboo poles on the ground and against each other in coordinationwith one or more dancers who step over and in between the poles in a dance. This bamboo dance is also one of the most popular traditional dances in Sabah. Have a watch and enjoy. I'm from korea and i'm still learning tinikling❤

I am from Northeast India and one of Indian state called Mizoram has this similar kind of bamboo dance as their traditional/ ancestral dance.
I believe we, the Northeasten Indians are related to the Philippines via our forefathers
true:-)
Yes we do! It's the same bloodline we have I believed 😊
Most Filipinos have 3% Indian DNA.

That is not a Philippine Tiniklin. It's music and traditional clothing is different.
This is a Dayak dance, not far from the Philippines in Borneo
I’m Khmu and we have a very similar bamboo stick dance we also perform. Same scenario, but we do it at a slower paste. I love they way y’all do it!!! It was absolutely beautiful!!!

Yes, bamboo dance in India as well:-)
Does anyone know where I can find a woman and a guy doing the same thing? They looked Polynesian, not sure!
They are Malaysian, but bamboo dance or Tinikling in Tagalog or Filipino language is also popular in Philippines:-)
IM SCARED 😭
practice makes perfect:-)
This is one of the bamboo dances in Southeast Asia and not Tinikling of the Philippines.
I can not dance tinikling but I’m a Philippine
It has no difference to the Mizo Cheraw( Bamboo dance ) but the beat of the bamboo isn't the same
For everyone saying that this is not tinikling,
You do realize that there are many different similar dances with different names?
Yes, similar but DIFFERENT.
I dont think its tinikling. Tinikling usually has a 3/4 time signature while this one has a 2/4 time signature. The music and outfit is also different.
Apakah itu tariana dari indonesia

This is not the tinikling but a related dance. Instead, it is a dance from one of the Dayak people of Borneo, Sabah or Sarawak.
it’ tinikling in Philippine language:-)
@@nanzlife6828 its similar but it's being performed by a different, albeit related group of people who posses their own variation and name.
@@nanzlife6828hindi po siya tinikling. Iba po rhythm and music ng tinikling.
I missed that po but now I can't dance like that baka mahuli na ang paa hehehehe
Need balance and proper timing:-)
THis is not tinikiling. If I'm not mistaken this is from Thailand. Definitely not Tinikling.
That's not Tinikling though. Seems bamboo dances are common in Southeast Asian cultures and places close to Southeast Asia like eastern India and southern China.
Just no I went to imago I'm Malaysian 🫢🫢🫢
I don't want to do du tinkling dance
That is not a Filipino Tinikling. The sound and costume are weird.
Bamboo dance in Southeast Asia-Tinikling named after the bird Tikling. Also called Cheraw or Murut Magunatip Bamboo Dance.:-)
That’s definitely not tinikling haha
That doesnt look like tinikling
bamboo dance:-)
