Is there any one actor , who is ready to act the character of Sivaji in Pasamalar or dual role characters of Uthamaputhiran. Don't
argue and waste our time. Call those actors and ask them to take it as a challenge. This is the only practical way to find out the truth.

In this respect, concerning historical roles, I really feel sad that now we are unable to view the Samrat Asokan Drama portion in Rojavin Raja film and also the Tele Film on Chatrapathi Sivaji (running for about 30 minutes), directed by SA Kannan, which was made for telecasting by Doordarshan during 1974-75, even though he played these roles in Annaiyin Aanai and Raaman Eththanai Raamanadi/ Baktha Thukkaaram, respectively. As you rightly said, the performance by Sivaji will differ totally from one another, even in the same roles in different films made at different periods. Regards. V.GIRIPRASAD

UAA is a fantastic troupe known for quality, substance and most importantly clean and good level of humour. Ragasiyam parama ragasiyam is the best in my opinion. YGM used to be in best of outfit. Very classy person. You have meticulously analysed Sivaji. Befitting tribute. Hats off, Sir.

Kesavan Nair don't make over imagination that no one laughs. Only those who have humour can laugh their comedy. I think you didn't watched any of his stage drama. You won't get such an humour in films too. Nowadays there are irritating comedy's in films.

Don't make nonsense abt Y GE Mahendran. He is a stage actor also a legend in stage drama. He is also a writer. Having humour club. Still he is doing stage drama very well even this stage drama is getting low because of technological improvement in film industry.
First read and learn abt what is stage drama and then criticize. I think everyone get all the films by free download that's why no one knows the value of this stage drama. Now there are so many copy cats in making films, music, even screenplay, story. But these stage actors don't have any copycats. But film makers do copycat of these stage dramas.

Are you trying to tell nobody can speak Tamil like him? I totally disagree, bcos SSR n KR Ramasamy speak fluent and clear Tamil. They don't speak in drama style, very casual but deep Tamil. Or sivaji help the Tamilans? That also not true, bcos he don't even gave tips for his gas delivery man. But I heard a true story from my friend who is sivaji's diehard fan. This happened in 1990.
After that incident in his house, she dropped him like hot potatoe.
When they went in, he didn't invite them warmly , but show stuckup face. Worst still, he didn't even offer a glass of water.
My friend was very angry and disappointed. When all came out from the house, the guide told them, now you all know y even as pure tamilan, he cannot win the hearts of TN.

Watch how MGR and EV Saroja act as brother and sister n how they sacrificed for each other. Whoever watch this movie will never fail to cry and sure to wished to have a brother like MGR.
The climax was so touching n this movie got meaning why both die.
But pasamalar drama, savthri was not ill treated and sivaji's wife is Dr who went to America, but sivaji walk n act like a beggar in climax. I

@@newsreader07 Sir , well said. She couldn't tolerate if she happened to any one praise of Sivaji. She criticise Sivaji because of jealous of Sivaji. Sivaji got many international awards. But MGR got Bharath award with his political influence. Thuklak Cho interviewed with the award committee members and raised questions about acting. They conceded that there was political pressure behind it. In India any can get any award with political influence. But there can't get foreign awards. MGR played a dual role in his life and Kannathasan exposed him in his writings "Ullum puramum" and "Arangamum antharangamum" which were published in weekly magazines in those days. MGR called Kannathasan and gave aasthana kavignar post and pacify him. MGR's life is similar to that of the characters of "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" a familiar novel written by Robert Louis Stevenson. Sivaji had done lot to our Nation and to our people without any pup publicity. I have posted some in public comments. Pl type Hindu Tamil thisai Sivaji 90 and watch all the seven videos which were released by the Hindu daily in CZcams. They held a function on 30-11-2018 at Chennai Vaani Mahal Arangam to honour Sivaji in the name of Simmagrolon 90. In one video they described his contribution to the nation with photos which were published in Hindu (English)daily in those days.

malar kodi first understand abt what is stage drama and how Mr. Y GE Mahendran is excelled in stage drama. He achieved a lot in stage dramas. All his stage dramas are having humour. But now today in films there is irritating comedy's only and everyone think it is comedy. Abt Sivaji, he is having such a acting talent that's why he can do over acting and a versatile actor and also a stylish actor. Did all kind of characters like mythology, historical, fantasy etc. Don't give a nonsense criticism over both.

Then coming to Sivaj's acting. Did u watch Thiruvillaiyadal, saw his funny sivan dance and his walking? If he shot in first street , he willl rolled n rolled n die on street 15th. Then u got watch most of his movies he cough n vomit blood. The worst in movie Thygam , he participate in bicycle race, after few rounds he vomit blood ...really comedy.
The only movie he didn't overact acting is Mudal Mariyathai.

Just wearing a beautiful and colourful dresses and stand in front of the screen and presenting dialogues is not an acting. Once you watch The Legend Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan movies, you can segregate the best acting and actors. In today's position even top actors can't give 50% perfection in acting what Sivaji did. Mere Dancing will not be the one you can criticize for acting because it is not part of acting. It's a different art. Showing different body language with facial expressions even without dialogues is the one example that is Sivaji Ganesan. Just watch the climax of Navarathiri.
What u criticized as over acting abt Sivaji Ganesan had achieved first international Afro-Asian award for best actor (Veera Pandiya Katta bomman), Dadha sahib palke award, France based Chevalier Award (first indian actor), Deiva Magan went for Oscar nominations.
Whether those critics mad in selecting such a best actor to honour those awards.
He has different walking styles, even the cigar smoke will act. I can say more and more abt his acting skills but this comment box will be lengthy.
