Music and nostalgia often go hand in hand, creating a powerful and emotional connection to the past. Music has the unique ability to transport us back in time, evoking vivid memories and emotions associated with specific moments, places, or people from our past.
When we hear a song that we haven't heard in years, it can trigger a flood of memories and transport us back to the time when we first heard it. The lyrics, melodies, and even the sound quality can awaken dormant emotions and bring back the sights, sounds, and feelings of a particular period in our lives.
The connection between music and nostalgia is deeply personal and subjective. Different songs hold different meanings for each individual, depending on their experiences and the associations they have formed. What might bring a sense of nostalgia to one person could be completely different for another.
Through music, we can reminisce, reflect, and find solace in the familiar. It has the power to comfort us, heal our wounds, and provide a sense of continuity in an ever-changing world. The timeless nature of music allows us to bridge the gap between the past and the present, creating a link that transcends time.

Bring Back Soumya
Soumya se jal rhe ho
Amrinder gill true song
I was born in 1999.. My mom says I used to dance to the song "radha kaise na jale" from lagaan whenever it played on the TV..
I think names of Atif Aslam , Mohit Chauhan and a special shoutout to Emraan Hashmi's movies are missing
and also U guys can easily increase the length of each episodes for around an hour and half it would accepetable to audience as it is normal in podcast . and keep bringing such content ❤️
Why zain didmt feel wHat we feel
When shubham gets excited, he talks so much 😂 it’s cute!! Rajesh and zyan are super patient and love the chemistry between these 3. Never stop making these and the longer the better
Himesh reshamiya can't be forgotten, he has an era, I fee
Simp army of Soumya..❤❤

Bhosdike ldki ko bada rply krte ho
Ajay-Atul
AR Rahman
Pritam
RD Burman
Nadeem-shravan
These Five are all time favourite..❤️
As an Amrinder gill fan since childhood, I am glad that he was mentioned in this podcast. Punjabi music industry, like other regional music industries in India, has so many hidden gems so my two cents after listening to this podcast are- Check out the song Leekan (from Ashke movie), such a beautiful romantic song by Amrinder gill. Also, usually people associate Garry Sandhu with fast music but do check out his song “Do Gallan” (if you understand Punjabi lyrics even a little bit, this song will get you teary eyed especially the video is just too good)
you didnt mention about our female singers my favourites shreya ghosal, sunidhi chauhan, sona mohapatra, rekha bhardwaj
My first few songs were from Amithabh Bachchan movies back in 1983, songs from Mahaan, Kalia, Yaarana, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Lawaris, Desh Premi, Namak Halal etc when Amitabh Bachchan was injured and in our society ground people built a temporary temple to pray for his health and for full 2 weeks and I memorised Big B's all songs since childhood.
Satinder Sartaaj and Amrinder gill is OGs of Punjabi music industry 🫶🏻
Petition for bringing back soumya
How can we forget " OH HO HO HO , OH HO HO HO " TARE GIN GIN ❤😊
the OG song😂🥰
Zain and Rajesh be like: ye Shubham hamare beech meh bahot bolta hai 😂
😂😂
😂😂
You guys just make us relive our memories, nostalgic, pure love, whole episode is relatable. Infact this Great Indian Podcast is relatable. please keep doing this forever ❤❤❤
Ajay Atul duo is the most underrated music director for Indian audience
86 born here...the first song that I remembered was kabootar ja ja..from Maine pyar Kiya
This was my 50 min of free therapy session trust me ! Eagerly waiting for next episode
Shubham aap bhut knowledge rkhte ho but don't cut others while they are sharing views .... Just a positive feedback for better growth of your channel ... all the best for your journey
Very good observation, aapka comment pada to laga mai hi akela aisa nahi hu jise ye laga.
My First prayer memory was Itni Shakti hume dena Daata Man ka Vishwas kamzor hona.... & it was my fvrte prayer 🙏🏻
:))
To be honest nostalgia is always a source which everyone is selling but kudos to Shubham, Rajesh, Zain that they make not only about nostalgia but their chemistry is off the charts. And bakchodiya to bas pucho mat. Keep the episodes coming guys
I loved this one!!! so soooo good
At 20:32, Shubham was talking about late Md.Aziz and he is right, his voice is so painful and I am always stunned how he is so underrated like his songs are very popular but the singer has not got the due that he deserved and most of Anil Kapoor, Govinda and Sunny deol films were incomplete without Md. Aziz songs.
If it comes to range, Sonu Nigam is untouchable. Guy, in a single song, Tees Maar Khan title track, has come up with 50+ voices.
Just chill chill by sonu nigham
Student life pe bhi aana chaiye podcast and summer vacation was the most fun video, thoroughly enjoyed it.
I think Atif Aslam was really great and if he was currently in bollywood he would have been a great competion for Arijit Singh
Loved this session, and definitely deserve a part 2 considering still many things to touch upon.
Agree with Zain -
Sonu Nigam >>> Arijit
Arijit became untouchable after 16-17 since Atif stopped singing here, KK ,Mohit,Shan werent getting enough quality song anymore.
Sonu Nigam has an existence since 90-91 all the way to a movie Khuda Hafiz with loads of variety in songs.
Rajesh Bhai wo china wali war ka gaana mera bhi favourite hai, it is "kar chale hum fida jaan aur tan saathiyo, ab tumhare hawale watan saathiyo". Love the trio.
❤❤
Zain... kudos to you on mentioning this song at 41:45. I have never ever heard from anyone else about this song. Muje lagta tha sirf maine hi suna hai ye song. I only heard this once or twice in radio back in the day.
you guys missed YEH DESH HAIN VEER JAWANO KA deshbhakti + marraiage main bhi bajta tha
Most underrated Music Directors in Bollywood - Contemporary
Vishal Bharadwaj
Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Ram Sampath
Shantanu Moitra
Mithoon

I am from Himachal and local singing is still very relevant here. Some financially incapable people skip djs bs ladies of village gather t0 sing all the days of marriage and its considered very important
Loved the whole episode, very nostalgic, but liked for Amrinder Gill recommendation.
Sad that female singers were not discussed in the top 5 singers. How can you miss Shreya Ghoshal😮
Mrs Shreya Goshal
Mrs Sherya Ghoshal Ma'am
@@divesh613 how can you miss matlab how can you not include they missed her that's what he meant
Rekha Bhardwaj bhai ... kyu ni bat hui yar unki
@@yogitasanwal6176 arey samajh gaya bhai..timepass kar raha tha..haha

the local train... currently not that famous but this Indian band is too good
listen to their songs just once and you'll find yourself listening to them for hours
Mithoon also a good music composer and mohit chauhan also a good singer with magical voice.

Thankyou Rrajesh & Shubham for talking about Punjabi music & suggesting Punjabi movie Angrez
Who came here after Shubham and Rakesh told you to binge watch! I did. You guys are great🎉
Rajesh won my heart by mentioning Amrinder gill.....i am stuck on his songs❤❤
You guys are awesome 👌
I didn't anticipate there'd be so much to talk about music. But now it's requiring a Part II
I think this is the best episode for me
Best Podcast show best TRIO👍🏻
independent singers/albums
Adnan Sami (Tera Chehra),
Altaf Raja (Tum to thehre Pardesi),
Kailash Kher (Kailasa),
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (Aafreen),
Sonu Nigam (Deewana)
And so many more like this
We had prayers before recess period "god is great, god is good, let us thank him for our food" with full on actions🙂 and even before going home🙂also totally agree with Rajesh❤i love Amrinder Gill and his songs❤❤❤
Harbhajan maan, daler mehndi, atif aslam initial albums, jal band, adnan sami, chandani raatein all these songs and albums were pure bliss. I'm so happy you mentioned Amrinder gill in the end the one singer who didn't bend his lyrics and didn't follow the trend still going so strong with songs like akhar, supna and similarly satinder sartaj and garry sandhu for his slow songs and romantic numbers like do gallan, jaanu jaanu what are these singers my god.
i was in a catholic school and i remember this rumour that if u open your eyes during itni Shakti hume dena daata .. daata will not give you any thing and the only appointed captains are allowed to open eyes apparently the most powerful person of the class 🤣🤣🤣🤣
aisa bhi hota hai😂
@@mensxp kis kis level pe kat ta hai bcchon ka can't explain 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Special mention to Yeh jawani hai deewani... All the songs were blockbuster... !! Till date best suited for weeding dances!..
You didn't mention the Imran Hasmi era with Himesh Resamiya songs and the legendary song Ashique bnaya apne?
13:41 Aalah udal ki kahani by Surjan Chaitanya 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Ajay Atul could be one who come in from nowhere and leave their traces forever❤🎉
You guys forgot Mohit Chauhan. He has given wonderful songs to the industry for ex Rockstar whole album.
"Awarapan"
One of my favourite album...
Mammi ki favorite cassette se ek aur yaad aaya... Hardaul ki kahani... Aur ek vo gaana tha Ek doli chali ek arthi chali... Itne dukh bhare gaane with folk touch
veer zara and tum mile, humari adhuri kahani
Thank you for these podcasts... Really takes away all the stress from the work...❤❤
Glad you liked it :)
There should be one dedicated podcast on Dil Se only. It has evoked lot of emotions in all of our lives
One very underrated pop artist is Talwiinder. Worth exploring his songs!
New music albums like jubliee and Qala are also very good 💯
How you guys remember so much from childhood? I have started recalling all those moments after watching these podcasts. I hope this never ends ❤️
for sure!🥰
I was not expecting the episode. But Nice
Shubham, I think the singer whose name you couldn’t recall was Shabbir Kumar who sang “kaagaz kalam dawaat la”
Bhai mza aa gya nostalgic hokar
🥰😊
since starting of the video i was eager to hear Emptiness by Gajendra Verma. when i heard it from Shubham Rajesh, I instantly hitted the like button
I reallyy at first thought how will they make it funny on this topic but hats off..koi bhi subject ho fun humesha op
I usually used to sing aa mara watan ka logoung in my school. And every body used to praise me for that. Walkman is an emotional at that time. We used to listen"Aa aasaman tou batada ek chaand mera kahi kho gaya ha ".❣️❣️🥰😍😍
lez gooo🙌
Soumya kaha hai... 🥺 Without her the podcast is incomplete
My all time fav three albums- Vivaah, Gadar, APKGK
Fun episode guys! It was trip down memory lane.
Just one thought though, why no female singers were mentioned apart from Neha Kakkar and Alisha Chinoy? Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sona Mohapatra, Kavita Seth, Shilpa Rao, Shalmali Kholgade, Japsinder Narula, Rekha Bharadwaj are only a few names that come to my mind but their contribution to Indian music is huge. Really missed a point on that.
Best songs of singers
Sonu nigam: Cham Cham
Arijit: Binte dil
Mustafa Zahid , Imran Khan And Atif Aslam .... K K kshitij , Arijit Singh and Himesh Reshmiya And obviously Pritham
@@samarthjain145 No . He is overrated
@@samarthjain145 2 Roti jyada khaa Lena tu . Ok
Rahat fateh ali khan , sonu nigam , emran hasimi , arijit , pritam , mohit , atif aslam , falak shahb .....cant remember more
Radio meri mummy bhot sunti thi to subah mai or meri behen jab school k liye ready hote the 6 baje roz subah gana ata tha "school chale hum" it was my favourite song aur alg hi mahaul bnta tha taiyar ho k school jane ka😂

Who else thinks Mohit Chauhan is an underrated legend of Bollywood music?
Neha kakkar is underrated legend of Bollywood music. Period

How can you forget emraan hashmi's AASHIQ BANAYA APNE. The fear in the mind while listening ki koi dekh na le was of another lever , bhut saare ladko ne toh hatthhy chalana isi se shuru kia hai😂😂

These were my favourites
Narsi ka bhaat by Aadhar Chaitanya.
Aalah udal ki kahani by Surjan Chaitanya
I think i am the only jo London me reh kr abhi bhi ye sunta hu 😇😇😇😇 and Still love it 😇😇🥰🥰
This is growing well, par bhai podcast ki length ko badhao , jo kam attention span vaale hai vo jaa chuke hai 15 minat pe hi , jo actual podcast audience hai unko 50 minat kaafi kam lagega , it should be at least 1 hour 15 min agar utna baat karne ko ho
I like this trio
❤
yar ye bhot chota episode tha ❤ banate raho ruko mat podcast❤
In part 2 u should talk abt hariharan sir
Bhai Himesh on his peak... 36 hits in single year
Iska part 2 chahiye!!!
