- Join us in Gatlinburg Tennessee at Southern Comfort Restaurant for dinner. Southern Comfort specializes in Southern Cusine and we will order some Southern Chicken and Shrimp and Grits. Southern Comfort Restaurant is a place most people don't even know exist so we decided to bring this to you. The prices are a little higher because of this being inside a resort.

Years ago, I ate my supper out of a cast iron pan and got scolded by the wife for being so crude. 5 years later, she told me of a great dining experience with her girlfriends. Guess what? The dinners were served in cast iron pans. Go figure.
That’s a funny story. This made the food look very good. This place is expensive but the meal was good😎😎

WOW!!! That place is jaw dropping and gorgeous. I’m stunnned. The food is fantastic and you get a beautiful dining experience. Worth the price. I like the cast iron skillet presentation too. Thank you John and Bobbie for your CZcams channel. I wouldn’t have known places like this existed❤️
Glad you enjoyed it. We did this because it has not been done much so we decided to show it. It’s very pretty but a little expensive but we did enjoy our meal and service. Worth going to just for the atmosphere and sitting in front of fireplace😎😎
The lodge feel of this restaurant and resort is very welcoming. Bobbie's chicken looked like it was straight out of a cookbook with the parsley flakes and how perfectly cooked it looked. John's shrimp and grits also looked amazing with the fresh cut peppers. This place definitely seems like a hidden gem on the spur. Thanks for another excellent review.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY BOBBIE!Boy Southern Comfort Resteraunt in the Westgate Hotel in Gatlinburg is a hidden Gem. The resteraunt reminds you of a cabin in the mountains so beautiful. The chairs look so comfortable at the tables. Menu looked great! Bobbie your fried chicken looked great!!! The grilled watermelon, alot of mashed potatoes, that biscuit YUM. John your Carolina Shrimp and Grits and the beer cheese mac-cheese looks wonderful! Love beer cheese with pretzels! Very nice hotel as well!!!

BRAVO y'all!!!!! What fun~a restaurant I've never seen before! And then to have a food I've never seen~BONUS! My sis :( had a timeshare there and that's where we always stayed but I didn't know there was a restaurant there. Sure is a lovely place. What a gorgeous restaurant! Those tables by the fireplace. I know you can eat outside, but I would definitely stay inside just to enjoy the atmosphere. Your food looked delicious, and there were lots of items on the menu I would want to order! Hope you are having a great Mother's Day!

Awesome video John and Bobbie! I have stayed at the Westgate Resort. It’s been about 3 years ago. A family member has a time share there. I was fortunate enough to be invited to stay for a few days. The room I stayed in was very nice. Not sure if all the rooms are the same considering this was part of a timeshare.

Another beautiful restaurant in Tennessee. I think I would have ordered the meatloaf wrapped in bacon with mashed potatoes and lots of gravy. Since you both like shrimp so much I'm surprised you never seek out a seafood buffet or a buffet in some of the casinos. That's what we did for years many of them have all you can eat shrimp and also oysters. I think you're probably not too far from a casino. I think there are one or two near Pittsburgh you should look it up and see if they have a buffet and what they offer. I probably ate at a casino buffet a couple hundred times in the past couple decades. ❤🇺🇸🙏🏻👍🏻
The casino in Pittsburgh used to have all you can eat crab legs and shrimp. We ate there quite often but they did away with it. Another new one that they just opened in this area has a Guy Fieri and Western restaurant no seafood. We don’t have any seafood buffets in our area. The most seafood we have seen has been at Shady Maples in Pa. Our friend has a restaurant in this area but it’s 60 bucks for all you can eat crab legs and that’s it. Jeff we might do a buffet in Pigeon Forge that is seafood but the reviews are so bad we hate wasting our money. I walked in and it looked average but decided against it. We review every place before we go because we don’t want to waste our money. We hope to do one soon if possible😎😎
@@jbinthehillsIf you ever make it to Myrtle Beach South Carolina there's at least 50 buffets with all you can eat seafood including crab legs and shrimp and scallops and oysters. Somewhere even closer to you is Williamsburg Virginia. Right there is a fantastic seafood buffet called Captain George's they have everything on it including snow crab legs and oysters and shrimp and scallops and crab cakes, you name it it's on the Buffet prime rib. If you make it to Williamsburg there is also Busch Gardens the old country which is one of the best theme parks in the United States. You walk through the different countries including England and Switzerland and Germany is one of our favorites because we go to the Oktoberfest to eat. Definitely a great place to go for at least 3 days. Motels are pretty cheap. 👍🏻

See I've heard some buffets reuse leftover food from the day before so when you go first at opening you may be getting yesterday's leftovers. Food looked good though and for that price it's a steal.

The food looked delicious!!! That's what I like is a really good thick & creamy macaroni and cheese but I never tried beer cheese. Not sure I would like it but I'll have to try beer cheese. I may end up liking it. I need to be more of an adventurous eater. I've always been a picky eater growing up & still to this day but getting better. Absolutely love your videos!!!
Casey Beer Cheese is completely different. I can’t really describe it. Bobbie does not like it. You can get most places with a giant pretzel along with mustard. This is very thick Beer Cheese. You sound like me with veggies. Have fun on your trip 😎😎

Westgate is a time share, I’m sure they would love you to stay there & you just have to sit thru a 3 hour presentation of why you should buy in, haha. Westgate in Fla gave us high pressure but that was many years ago, maybe they’ve toned it down some now, lol

Yea you can stay there, that’s when you see those ads that usually say something like 4 nights in Gatlinburg for $199. Read the fine print and it will say you have an obligation to sit thru a presentation for a timeshare. The name Westgate ruins it for me b/c that time in Fla was high pressure & salesman went to get his manager & it went on & on.
