When you said it was doing stuff to your brain I 100% know the feeling. It's like a high I have to try and ground myself back down from. And yes I definitely suspect undiagnosed ADHD might be playing a role.

Everyone keeps comparing ST to Tool, and Tool is one of those bands I've been weirdly afraid to get into because the fans always seem really intense? I might start venturing into their discography at this point. Love your ST reactions!! I agree with other recommendations of Atlantic for more of his angelic cleans. And then just in general, Blood Sport (From The Room Below) and Hypnosis!

Sincerely, I feel you with the Tool thing lol! I have a couple Tool reactions about and I mention something similar in there. They have a very intense and dedicated fan base and, as an outsider, it's so intimidating LOL! Definitely happy to have given them the chance though, I've enjoyed what I've heard so far.

As a Tool fan, yes. The majority of the fan base is super intense. I love the music, hate how obsessive the fans are. I feel that way about most fan bases though. I can't do the weird, creepy, obsessed fans.
@@kayarnold3151 I've listened to a few Tool songs since my comment and TURNS OUT I've been a Tool fan all along, I just didn't know it was Tool 😂 I listened to a lot of their music in high school apparently but I thought they were done by A Perfect Circle (bc obvs Maynard is the vocalist for both, which I learned after googling it)
ive been a tool fan since Undertow.... but Im not a "tool fan". Honestly if you like the music then listen to it and like it and express yourself however you want about it.

This isn't even my fav ST song but I love watching people experience this one in particular for the first time. It shows just how much ST just does not give a crap about the rules. It's a great introductory song to new fans. ❤
I was conflicted at the beginning trying to put my finger on the vocals…was giving me some Blue October vibes but then totally got the Tool feeling when you mentioned it. And then the last switch to a Hozier (Take me to Church) sound. Geesh man, this was a good one!

Yes now that you mention it I do hear the "tool" in it.... very subtly similar to Maynards vocals, Im not sure which song it reminds me the most though.... its been a minute since ive put in a tool CD and I think I only have the first 3 (and I am not a spotify person.... I like my CDs and vinyl)
eta I just wish the last part of the song they would have leaned in just a little more into a funk style bass and drum sound.... I just want a little more punch in my "baby making" songs lol ;)

The beginning of this song specifically reminds me of Tool, Bush, and Arid all rolled into one. In general it reminds me of nights I spent at small industrial clubs in Toronto in the late 90s. Toward the end of the night they would sometimes play some amazing and chill underground stuff.
This song was my intro to Sleep Token. This happened just yesterday and I am LOVING IT!! Can't thank you reactors enough for introducing me to so many awesome artists, and the fans of them who keep turning reactors on to all of them 🤗💜
