Recently out JW here. Born again! I'm attending a church that is studying the history of the Church from Apostles onward. Very helpful in seeing how it would go off the rails at times. Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox history is eye-opening. Also, I HIGHLY recommend David and Vivian Aspinall's channel. They dive deep!

Catholics don’t believe in works based salvation anymore than Protestants or Orthodox. And while SDAs do have some strange beliefs as long as they affirm the Trinity they are within the faith. Catholics have scriptures they’re appeal to as far as the prayers of the righteous are heard by God, while I disagree with their interpretation they aren’t trying to go against the Bible. @@lifeissimplepodcast I think it would be wise to keep the Scripture that says: "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." ( 1 Timothy 2:5-6 NKJV) when looking at Catholicism. If you are praying to saints or Mary, are you then looking to them as mediators between you and God ? A person becomes a Christian by placing faith in Christ by believing that He died for their sin, was buried, and rose again (John 3:16-17; Romans 10; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4). If a person accepts Jesus as their Savior and Lord, then they are a true Christian. It doesn't matter if that person attends a Catholic Church, a Baptist Church, a Methodist Church, or a Moravian Church. In other words, it doesn't matter what denomination a person is a part of, but rather if they have placed faith in Christ and are born again. Placing faith in Jesus is the only way a person is a Christian.

Thank you for this video, I needed clarification on the church’s I was looking into orthodox but got chills when I saw what they were doing with the incense and praying to the saints so I’ve been praying to the lord and here is my answer! But I have 2 questions for you brother so does that mean we don’t have to get baptized? And if we aren’t attending the church would wearing a cross be considered idol worshipping?
Hey, so first you are baptized with the holy spirit stated in John 3:3,1 Corinthians 12:13,Ephesians 4:5 and Romans 6:1-4 also being called born again. This is the spiritual baptism that saves. You receive him and your new heart of flesh, thus being the new you. Ezekiel 36:24-28 God promises his people this process. Baptism at a church is a public declaration that you are a follower of Christ. This baptism is not what saves you but in essence solidifies you to the public. You do this when you feel it in your spirit you are ready, not by pressure. I would suggest first you pray about it. Then do your research on the different denominations in Christianity. Remember it's not where you go, it's who you go to, which is Christ. So for example, take Catholicism. They do many things similar to the orthodox church, as far as the leadership goes. But that doesn't mean that there are not any saved Catholics, who understand who Jesus really is and what he has done. Their faith is in Christ and not the traditions of the church or men. Remember you repent to GOD not men. If a church says you have to do something or a work to be saved, then I would stay far away. When Jesus came, he condemned the Pharisees who were leaders of many people of GOD. Regardless of the church or denomination, you are responsible for your own relationship with Christ. So pray about it and try to find a church with sound doctrine that adhere to the main essentials of true Christianity. As far as a cross goes. As far as I am concern, our Lord and savior did die on a cross, and the cross has been used in churches for centuries wayyyyy before JWS existed to represent his sacrifice. If you want to wear a cross to remind of what your Lord and savior did, then I see no problem. However don't make it a Idol. For example, lets say you have a favorite actor you like to watch. You even watch their movies quite a bit. Then that would be fine. But if you go to the extreme and have become obsessed with that actor then you very well may have made them a Idol. We can make anything a Idol, even food. You would simply worship and pray to the actual Christ, not the object or symbol of Christ. ❤

It is unfortunate that the New King James version alters, changes the original contextual Greek in John the 14th chapter verse 17 to (him, instead of it) and uses the added words (He dwells with you and will be in you) which is a willful deliberate and complete change of the original contextual meaning. as James said, true faith produces works in evidence of claimed faith, as James said, “faith, without works, is dead” in the eyes of “the Lord which is the Spirit”. James 2:17-26, 2 Corinthians 3:17. These works spoken of are the fruitage of the Holy Spirit produced and carried out through true Christians by the Spirit as evidence. Jesus said in Matthew 7:19-20, “ every tree, not producing fine fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire”. preaching the good news of the Kingdom is one of the main recognizable fruitages of the holy spirit that produces more abundant fruitage which includes the fruitage mentioned at Galatians 5:22-26. 1 Timothy 2:3-4 states, “this is fine and acceptable in the site of our savior, God, who’s will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth“. The fruitage of that work will soon end, and all the desirable things will have been gathered into Jehovah storehouse for salvation “and then the end will come”. Jesus said, “for whoever is not against us, is for us”. Mark 9:40. Hopefully you are not against, but for. PS. You are partially right many JW‘s have given their allegiance and loyalty, to certain men, but there are many that do not, and are relying and putting their faith on their Lord Jesus to do the judging. You would be assuming God loves all people, this is not the case. As he’s had numerous cases like Jacob and Esau, where he loved one and hated the other. Jesus says if you says if you are not with him you are against him. A christian is simply a follower of christ. The word may not be there all through the new testament. You are confused about what Catholicism teaches. You mentioned Mary and the Saints. Let me explain by example, let’s suppose you were diagnosed with a serious disease. You can pray directly to Jesus or you can pray to one or more saints in heaven asking them for their help help. Their help is in addition to Jesus. These saints are NOT equal to God or to be used in place of God.The last case is where you ask the members of your church to pray for you. These people are acting as intersessors just like the saints in the above example. If you say that you don’t believe in intercessory prayers then your only choice is to God alone otherwise you are not being consistent in what you believe. i hope this helps you understand what Catholics believe.

Catholics don’t believe in works based salvation anymore than Protestants or Orthodox. And while SDAs do have some strange beliefs as long as they affirm the Trinity they are within the faith.
Catholics have scriptures they’re appeal to as far as the prayers of the righteous are heard by God, while I disagree with their interpretation they aren’t trying to go against the Bible.

If you are praying to saints or Mary, are you then looking to them as mediators between you and God ?
A person becomes a Christian by placing faith in Christ by believing that He died for their sin, was buried, and rose again (John 3:16-17; Romans 10; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
If a person accepts Jesus as their Savior and Lord, then they are a true Christian. It doesn't matter if that person attends a Catholic Church, a Baptist Church, a Methodist Church, or a Moravian Church.
In other words, it doesn't matter what denomination a person is a part of, but rather if they have placed faith in Christ and are born again. Placing faith in Jesus is the only way a person is a Christian.

Thank you for this video, I needed clarification on the church’s I was looking into orthodox but got chills when I saw what they were doing with the incense and praying to the saints so I’ve been praying to the lord and here is my answer! But I have 2 questions for you brother so does that mean we don’t have to get baptized? And if we aren’t attending the church would wearing a cross be considered idol worshipping?
Hey, so first you are baptized with the holy spirit stated in John 3:3,1 Corinthians 12:13,Ephesians 4:5 and Romans 6:1-4 also being called born again. This is the spiritual baptism that saves. You receive him and your new heart of flesh, thus being the new you. Ezekiel 36:24-28 God promises his people this process. Baptism at a church is a public declaration that you are a follower of Christ. This baptism is not what saves you but in essence solidifies you to the public. You do this when you feel it in your spirit you are ready, not by pressure. I would suggest first you pray about it. Then do your research on the different denominations in Christianity. Remember it's not where you go, it's who you go to, which is Christ. So for example, take Catholicism. They do many things similar to the orthodox church, as far as the leadership goes. But that doesn't mean that there are not any saved Catholics, who understand who Jesus really is and what he has done. Their faith is in Christ and not the traditions of the church or men. Remember you repent to GOD not men. If a church says you have to do something or a work to be saved, then I would stay far away. When Jesus came, he condemned the Pharisees who were leaders of many people of GOD. Regardless of the church or denomination, you are responsible for your own relationship with Christ. So pray about it and try to find a church with sound doctrine that adhere to the main essentials of true Christianity. As far as a cross goes. As far as I am concern, our Lord and savior did die on a cross, and the cross has been used in churches for centuries wayyyyy before JWS existed to represent his sacrifice. If you want to wear a cross to remind of what your Lord and savior did, then I see no problem. However don't make it a Idol. For example, lets say you have a favorite actor you like to watch. You even watch their movies quite a bit. Then that would be fine. But if you go to the extreme and have become obsessed with that actor then you very well may have made them a Idol. We can make anything a Idol, even food. You would simply worship and pray to the actual Christ, not the object or symbol of Christ. ❤

It is unfortunate that the New King James version alters, changes the original contextual Greek in John the 14th chapter verse 17 to (him, instead of it) and uses the added words (He dwells with you and will be in you) which is a willful deliberate and complete change of the original contextual meaning. as James said, true faith produces works in evidence of claimed faith, as James said, “faith, without works, is dead” in the eyes of “the Lord which is the Spirit”. James 2:17-26,

These works spoken of are the fruitage of the Holy Spirit produced and carried out through true Christians by the Spirit as evidence. Jesus said in Matthew 7:19-20, “ every tree, not producing fine fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire”. preaching the good news of the Kingdom is one of the main recognizable fruitages of the holy spirit that produces more abundant fruitage which includes the fruitage mentioned at Galatians 5:22-26.

You would be assuming God loves all people, this is not the case. As he’s had numerous cases like Jacob and Esau, where he loved one and hated the other. Jesus says if you says if you are not with him you are against him. A christian is simply a follower of christ. The word may not be there all through the new testament. help. Their help is in addition to Jesus. These saints are NOT equal to God or to be used in place of God.The last case is where you ask the members of your church to pray for you. These people are acting as intersessors just like the saints in the above example. If you say that you don’t believe in intercessory prayers then your only choice is to God alone otherwise you are not being consistent in what you believe. i hope this helps you understand what Catholics believe.

Then if you die, your soul goes to hades, where you will be at the same place the rich man was. You will await judgment, then you will be judged by your works, because you died in your sins, because you was blinded by YOUR own human logic,because you bring the mystery of God down to your level. Then you will be thrown in the lake of fire because you died in your sins. The offense is against a eternal being and that eternal Being “the creator”has a first born of all creation who is also eternal.He’s the only begotten.He is outside of creation, because he is the only begotten. Anything on the outside of creation would be considered God, or the ultimate Elohim.
