Chaps are a good idea with a long chain like that. I don’t like wearing them unless I run into using a big saw like this. Nice saw! It is really throwing some nice rooster tails. I carry a small bucking wedge and an axe when I cut like this.
Yeah the saw is quite impressive did you sharpen the stock chain or change it? It was digging real good, If I had a tree that large and was about to mill some I would be tempted in a three inch thick piece bye ten foot just for a dinner table if the wood is solid, that way you will have a constant memory and talk piece down the road when your eating on it. have fun just subscribed tonight looks like you have great content.
Get a smaller saw for limbing. A big saw will wear you out. You do not want to get fatigued with a big saw in your hands. Honestly, a small saw with a 16 or 18” bar will get the majority of the work done. You should only lean on a big saw for felling and cross-cutting the big stuff. I have a lot of different saws for different tasks, so use the right tool for the job and don’t try to get one saw to do it all.
One of the only videos of this saw going through real hardwood and tuned properly. Thank you sir
That's one off the biggest red oak I've every seen! I thought the one in my yard was big, that makes it look like a baby!

Chaps are always a good idea no doubt.
Nice video and beautiful, big tree! I have a G660 Pro as well. Nice saw to play with and do some mods 😉 stay safe and get the gullet
Thanks Man! I’m happy with the saw so far. Nice to have some big wood to test it with

I did sharpen the chain. And yes I think I’ll be making some thicker slabs. Welcome to Man Time!
I got the orange neotec, don't pinch the chain on top that thing kicks like a mule
I’ll keep an eye on the tip. Always do👍
I ordered one with a 28" light bar, I wonder if it can be used as a all around saw for limbing also occasionally?
I’m sure you can. I wouldn’t want to. Weight matters
I just ordered the g111 also, might be a little easier lol thank you
