@@rcaddict1406 lol competitive touge in Japan was usually done with grip style since it was faster. They also usually stayed on one lane to avoid accidents and went uphill since it was safer. Winner was determined with the gap between the cars. Drift touge was done mostly for fun.
That was fun got my palms sweaty watching that. Definitely got some quality throttle control going down on this run although I think you were given Jess a bit of lead with that but it'd be interesting to see this EM1 in front but nonetheless great video thanks for sharing couldn't be out there but hopefully soon I can
I was in front last week and held a pretty decent gap on the CRX, there is a 12 second difference In our b2b times. Next week I'll lead the CRX we're both learning the road and these weekly battles are gonna help us both for sure.
Throttle control? There like 100hp to the wheel maybe. Try fucking around with a turbo 400 hp to the rear wheel car like that. I have a 99 si. You can't hardly break that thing loose. Also have 88 300zx with a pulsar gtx3076r. Bitch is dangerous
I once crashed there after a rainy day in november and the road was covered in gravel. it's by far the most raw and challenging route I've raced north of LA. it's also LA's best kept secret
Love doing this in my crx! The valley in Oregon is nuts with it's twist and turns straight to a drop off, gotta be careful but it gets your heart racing and with it's views included it's one of the best places in the U.S to touge imo. Love it and my crx does too!!!
I tough on a 04 Lancer Ralliart with almost full suspension upgrade just need rear control arm replcement and sway bar to complete entire car suspension. Man this video is a blast watching instantly got the adrenaline just like when driving, and I gotta say being a lone driver is good but nothing better than sharing some dope moments like this with others who love it as well🤟
Thats a independent rear suspension in that crx.. a solid axel would NEVER stay that level being whipped thru those corners.. hes probably got a nice wish-bone independent setup..
+props to the crx, not only are they super prone to lift of oversteer, but he does a good job of leading fast, much easier to chase fast then it is to lead fast
This is cool I used to go up a lot there not anymore I heard that some civics where the fastest up there from one of my good buddies have u guys done anything up by big T?
Your top tier Touge. Everyone is just getting faster!😂👆 That's crx has came along way. 😤 Basic to bad ass real quick💪👀🤘. Hope to be up soon. Need time for Touge 😞
fr at least stay in your lane if your going to be doing this they weren't even going quick for some of those corners and still went blindly into the oncoming lane
im thinkin they had spotters the whole way down the road, you can see a load of project cars parked up on the side. but for sure, i get what ur saying, shit got my palms sweaty
I don’t know about lane splitting especially when the vehicle that was coming up near the beginning of the video, unless you set up a destination point and have a start and end with spectators or people on the side radioing in.
I thought that of my area too but I was so happy when I found the only touge like road in the area, (just under 100km/60 miles away) but I still made the trip almost every day. I was young with a bit too much free time lol. Met some cool people there too.
i prefer these roads in the daytime even though it's lonely.. it's nice to see a bunch of people meeting at night tho i just can't get behind the double crossing on blind turns.
In the day time it would be a blind corner at night u can see the headlights coming b4 u go around the corner making it safer #dont cut corners in the day
Only reason I don’t lead is because I dislike people getting that close to my bumper, I rather chase. Depending on the person and they’re driving behavior
It's also easier too. But yeah you can follow and stay close enough to prove a point without putting yourself and others at risk if the lead car brakes unexpectedly
Now this was racing. These are the types of people I liek to run into out there. Most people can't really handle their car but these guys belong in that japanese cartoon.
Finnally someone on CZcams who actually knows how to touge
Yes. Makes me proud to here that as a local
There was no drifting so your half correct

This is what I've been searching for! I couldnt help but smile throughout the whole video
Damn, what a touge run. Thank you for uploading this.
Those little cars handle great! Great content!
dude i come back to this vid like every week, never notice who posted it until now
I wanna do this someday. Also, good to know that Touge is alive and well in the States.
aye props to the crx driver defending well, that em1 is just fast tho. good race dudes, stay safe
this guy paid for the whole spedometer
First time watching touge in youtube. It was really fun to watch
The sound of the engine 🤤
man that CRX was jumping around those corners ! any idea on his suspension setup ?
His spring rates were too high he has a new setup now and it's much better.
@@Contempt805 yea the way he would cut in some corners it just didn’t look right the suspension articulated funky
Thats a independent rear suspension in that crx.. a solid axel would NEVER stay that level being whipped thru those corners.. hes probably got a nice wish-bone independent setup..
Also this road has very intense elevation changes most times you saw him bouncing around the turn it’s very steep
Cut springs
This is some real Touge I need to find people to do this with.
Genuinely out of curiosity, how do you guys have such confidence attacking those blind left hand corners? You guys are freaking insane and I love it!
yea i wouldn’t want to do that
@@SabreRedhead im pretty sure they have spotters on corners and they already knew about the first car
Have a look at my video of it it's similar but in vw polos in the UK :)
They just know the road, this is a daily road for a lot of people

This is awesome, what gopro settings do you use
man, the new initial d series looking pretty fire
love to see both good handling cars
These things look like they’ve got really really nice handling
it’s because they weigh 1,700 lbs
All sports Honda from 90-00's have excellent handling because of the rare doublewishbone suspension setup
@@TURE1215 yup
Damn good driving skills from both these cars.
great video!! Fires me up the get in my CRX and drive it fast. To bad I do not have roads like this near my home
Very exciting run. Respect ✊🏾
Lmao my GoPro holding on to dear life on Jesse’s hatch
I'm actually mad at you for not asking it correctly I intentionally followed that close for the GoPro lowkey lmao

Stuck to his bumper HARD all throughout the mile corridor after deadman’s. Insane
The world needs more roads like this everywhere
Amen
The traffic around the corner, scared the crap out of me! 😨
Nice run man, nice to see you push that EM1.
Thank you
Plot twist: the crx guy forgot to turn off the stove
knowing how really tight those little T turns are, watching this gave me anxiety hahaha
I can't judge the fart sound exhaust, because the sound while Touge it's so cool like mostly Kanjo 😍😍.
Sorry bad english
This is cool I used to go up a lot there not anymore I heard that some civics where the fastest up there from one of my good buddies have u guys done anything up by big T?
High quality touge vid 👍
What was this filmed with, quality is so crisp.

I'd love to see round two with the crx in back, I assume no passing?
Just wish places like this touge were near where I live.
Curious to know what kind of times you guys run bridge to bridge?!
Not leaving much room for error on those blind curves but cool run for sure.

As long as cars and drivers are at a similar level
I don’t know about lane splitting especially when the vehicle that was coming up near the beginning of the video, unless you set up a destination point and have a start and end with spectators or people on the side radioing in.

I love this road.
Wow that crx grippin the inside!

Are there any passes/overtakes on these touge battles, I can't find any. It seems like the ones leading always win! 😕
nice course. where is this touge?
This is amazing
do u guys have spotters or something?
Nice! Definitely eye and ear candy!
Oh no...this reminds me of those canyon battles i had to face while playing need for speed carbon
Yo, what's the road?
This is sick

now i have to rewatch initial d

Hey, I have a feeling I live near this road, know the name? Or a hint?
I saw so many openings i would taken advantage it.
Looks like Azusa Canyon?
I wish there was a touge near me that was so empty I could double lane
Can upload this video whit eurobeat?

700 times easier to follow than to lead at night
Rough driving but hey, it's a race! Sweet driving and great race. Guess the EM1 won? Since the CRX can't shake him off.
