I don't know if this is the dozeneth time I've watched this. It's still in the process of being fathomed. Thanks for taking in these young blood from Nashville, Bryan Sutton, such awesome inspiration. I couldn't share enough.

THIS IS DAMNED EXCELLENT! The performance starts about 30 minutes into the video so fast forward. They make make it look so easy! But it isn't! Wow!

  • @ramonasbluegrassandstuff4146

Note to self: Fast Forward to 29:40 then it's gets REAL good, REAL quick! Amazing!

The tune at 1:06:00 - Overton Waltz - is so beautiful. Reminds me of Bela Fleck's stellar "Tales from the Acoustic Planet" album. Great band, and Bryan is a superb guitarist. Check him out on Sierra Hull's "Daybreak" album, esp. his solo on "Bombshell".

I heard Bryan Sutton for the first time on a You Tube video about three months ago playing Folsom Prison Blues along with Pat Bergeson, Guthrie Trapp, Tommy Emmanuel and Richard Smith. What was good about that 'jam session, was that every player got to strut their stuff. For a player unknown to me, I was impressed with his playing. Scouting around for more of his work, I came across this video, which I am looking forward to hearing.

I'm a three finger guy but when he starts that song around 50: it takes me some place, way back. Sitting here on my back porch I can feel those Tennessee hardwoods resonate with me and that banjo.

To any music lover about to watch this here is a heads up. Its very good and worth the time to watch and listen but be forewarned you need to jump to approx. 30 minutes in to get to the beginning and then they take a break from 1:25 to 1:46. Might be part of the reason it got 3 dislikes

This is a very worthy - just slide up to where the introduction starts. Despite the huge lag before the show, the audio is excellent and performance is what you'd expect from Bryan Sutton. Same big gap in the halftime break, but the second half doesn't let up a bit.

I have to disagree with you, and recommend checking out their bio's. Each of these amazing musicians were raised on bluegrass, country and folk music. Bryan Sutton had ideas of attending Berklee (not Berkley), but had offers to come to Nashville to be a sideman.
