    Good stuff lad, got the BFS rod out on the local river myself the other day just to dial in the reel for the first time. Be good once March comes.
    Been down on the Barrow now twice around Athy and haven't gotten a knock off a pike or perch😂

      Cheers buddy, that's great to have the BFS ready for spring. The barrow has been hard enough lately in places, with the temperatures after rising over the last week or so again it should pick up now. The Perch should be a bit more active. At the moment I find I'm getting a good few more jacks on a straight retrieve with very little pauses. Kerp at it man and you will be rewarded 🎣🎣🎣

    It really is a good little reel. Only thing I don’t like is the drag clicker, feels like the “clicks” are a bit far apart

      Hi buddy, yea definitely a great little reel, iv noticed that myself on a few fish lately it might do a full turn then a few clicks and then the same but it doesn't bother me to much at the moment. Appreciate the comment buddy. 👍🏻

    A great first outing for your new reel!! Enjoyed your previous unboxing video but sadly it seems to have disappeared when l went back to it. What were the makes and specifications of the two rods you featured, not sure if you used one in your last session. Keep the videos coming, absolutely love the content and looking forward to getting out onto the bank when time permits, work and stuff always seems to get in the way….

      Cheers Rory, yea unfortunately I had to take the last video down as I had my full address and phone number out for display. I was doing that video at 1am and wasn't paying attention to it 😔. I haven't used the rods in a video yet but rods are both travel rods. If you go to Ali express and put in sougayilang 2.1m travel rod and then 1.8m for the next they should come up the 1.8 m is the Perch rod and is. 8 to 5g casting weight and you can pick spinning or casting which ever rod you want. If you can't find them let me no and I'll try put in links to them. 👍🏻

    Hi there, do you know is the spool bearings are the same with dark wulf ultra?

    • @mikeoutdoors22
      @mikeoutdoors22  Před rokem +1

      Well man, I'm not sure iv not used the ultra myself. As far as I'm aware the Genius is a big upgrade to the ultra. Our of the box the Genius is casting 2.5g no problem 50-60ft. I just upgraded the bearings to the Roro bearings and is unbelievable now casting 1.5 around 30-40 ft or a even more. The best guy to ask in problem Peter from the bfsfishing channel. Very nice guy. Hope this helps buddy👍🏻

      Dirk did you find out the info you were looking for? If not, yes they are the exact same as the reels are virtually identical. You’ll want 2x 834 sized bearings. Lmk if you’ve got more questions and cheers! You guys rock!
