We are currently trying to decide between Live aqua, Maroma and Haven - 9 nights (we go on to Xcaret after for 9 nights). It will be our honeymoon, couple in mid 30’s looking for good entertainment, great food/drinks etc. really looking for that luxury! We went to Unico last year and loved it.
    Which would you recommend?

I would say that EPM is a notch above the Secrets properties. Not a boutique hotel, but less crowds and a few things such as tennis lessons included, awesome smoothy station at resort, and overall just a little more attention to detail.
