I too have a love of things that fly. Especially helicopters of all types, but really anything that takes to the air. Case in point: annoying children on airplanes.
See, the way I figure it, you're already flying, right? So if you propel the child either inside the airplane (like into a solid bulkhead or something) or outside the airplane in a graceful arc, then the child is, like, "double-flying," and that's science, I think.
But how? In a word: Trebuchet. Yes, the ancient trebuchet can fling a small car hundreds of yards. So follow me on this: we scale down the trebuchet to a size that fits into a typical passenger jet aisle, and we adjust the release mechanism to release late, as there isn't much height inside the cabin.
This is an amazing idea. Stupendous. Called for. Dreamed about. Who's with me?!
