Lyrics:
There's a story in my eyes
Turn the pages of desire
Now it's time to trade those dreams
For the rush of passion's fire
I can feel you tremble when we touch
And I feel the hand of fate
Reaching out to both of us
I can't hold back
I'm on the edge
I can't hold back
Your voice explodes
Inside my head
I can't hold back
I won't back down
Girl, it's too late
To turn back now - Hudba
*I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.*
I’m with you!
You’re not wrong. For me Survivor is the best band ever. I’m still listening now in 2023!
Yes, you're definitely not alone!!! Keep on rockin'! You should check out Dino Jelusick. He's a young fantastic singer/musician that I recently discovered on CZcams which brought back so many wonderful memories of the music I grew up loving. ☺☺☺☺
U can count me in!
Yesssss
Many radio stations are now going retro. Todays music wasn't working. Long live the 80s
Unless you actually lived it, you can’t grasp the magic of this song coming on in a roller rink. You catch a girls Eye and she catches yours, pure 80s magic ensues
Miss those days 🎉
Yes
Absolutely....miss those days
Lmao yea ok homie
Ya I remember the 80s growing up. Listening to music like this with my mother. Wouldn't trade for anything
This song still holds up all these years later. What a voice.
Yes it absolutely does John
Man I still get goosebumps listening - what an incredible voice!
and ALWAYS will , a true classic NEVER goes out of style ;)
Agreed, I have to admit this dudes voice is equal to the great Steve Perry. Survivors star didn’t shine too long, but for a few years they were a true powerhouse. Their songs can still move hearts today.
Does anyone miss the 80s?
What is it? The music? The hair? lol! It’s just so 80’s 😊
Id go back in a heartbeat if I could

I lost my virginity to this song. Now, since she is no longer alive? This song puts a smile on my face and makes me cry at the same time. That's what the great songs do. Regardless of the recognition they received in their time. They solidify a memory of your personal history, seal it in stone and keep that memory alive.......forever.
Awesome way of putting that my friend.

Every word you said is damn true💯🎉🎉💥💥
Someone in 2024, listening to this huge massive song by the band, survivor and pure NOSTALGIA...⚡🔥😎

78 to 89 the best years of our life, i wish i could go back and stay there forever with my friends.
One day the plastic fake world will forget great singers like Jimi Jamison but until my dying day I will always remember the great singer
he was .
I was born in 1968. Survivor was the best in 84- 85. I was a junior and senior. With Jimi Jamisons soaring voice. You would never have thought that he could sing like that. He was country as all get out. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. But when he sang it was like another entity. His talent will live on forever. 😀
i was also born in 68......litttle farther east in knoxville....but likewise a Tennessean....
Yes, that's right. Jimi Jamisons voice so powerfully high and soulful. It is interesting that many bands of the 80s had their best phase in the years 1983/85. Best music, big hits...
1968 here as well. Remember the 80's fondly back in Montreal!
I was born in 1968 also. Western NY. I loved Survivor. This song takes me back to high school!
Jimi wasn't born in Memphis. He was born in Durant, Mississippi. However, he was raised in Memphis by his mother, Dorothy & her family. Check it out.
This society needs some 80s
Doesn’t deserve it
In all reality. This society wouldn't be able to handle it.
Where’s my Paul Blart gang at?
This is one of the more underappreciated special rock songs from the 80's. It ticks a bunch of boxes. The dynamics and background vocals are especially killer in this song!

if you like survivor, then we are family
Had to come back and relive my 80's days with this song. It was the most amazing time to be alive. Things were simple and music had class, not full of cuss words and sexual remarks. I'd do anything to go back.

The sexiest man to ever hold a mic, imo! He had such a strong, beautiful range that never failed him. He was still hitting these notes in 2014, right before his unfortunate death. I'm just now appreciating just how incredible his vocal range truly was. Beautiful, beautiful man❤❤
So true. I definitely appreciate his sexiness. Plus that gorgeous voice.
@@santamb67 I'm appreciating it more now that I look back on just how amazing his voice was, and how he poured out so much of his talent into every song he sang. The 80s sure had the best of everything ♥️

He will be loved by all Survivors here. The search is over, Jimmi. Jesus is right before your eyes now. Still this comment can't soothe myself on you... People, life is just one... I just found out about it today via UPI, United Press International. You have more up to date information and news.
I'll always remember Jimi's face. I would watch music videos, and at the end would be recommended videos to watch. Jimi's face would be on there for Survivor's videos. I'm good with faces, but bad with names.
I honestly had no idea he was 63. RIP Jimi Jamison.
According to Wikipedia, a sometimes reliable source, "His autopsy revealed the actual cause of death to be a hemorrhagic brain stroke, with "acute methamphetamine intoxication contributing."

And in the night the silence speaks to you and I
And now the time has come at last

Wake up each morning with random songs in my head. Today it was this one.
Jimi Jameson and Steve Perry had the best vocals of all.
Brock Whalay Jimi Jamison couldn’t hold Steve Perry’s jock.
Brock Whalay totally agree. and I add Mickey Thomas :)
Brock Whalay who cares
ever heard of Robert plant?
Steve cant be held back
I've had this song in my head all day for some reason. I haven't heard it in years. I LOVE this. ❤
Kids now days don't know the history of the great music that they should hear
I don't miss the 80s, I'm always listening to music and watching movies from it. I'm still there.
I am too......I never really left
Same here! Rock on!
80's on a loop with music and movies.
I fell the exact same way. The 80's will never die just like no-one puts baby in a corner. Rock on dude and may the force be wif ya
What I wud give for 1 day back in the 80.s def leppard concert or summat. Just 1 day.
Let me just say that I absolutely HATE all of you folks who were luck enough to grow up in this age! LOL. This, to me, is music with 100% passion backing it. The music of today is just littered with filth and grime. Everything is mean-spirited and/or sexualized, and we embrace it as a society.. which makes me sick! Technology may have advanced from 30 years ago, but I feel as if we've actually alienated ourselves from each other in the process! But then I listen to this song (and the whole album!) and it's pure gold! It has such a feel-good feeling to it that you can't help but visualize all of the classic 1980's movies that we all love. Maybe I'm wrong about this since I wasn't born until the late 80's so maybe somebody can chime in on this, but it feels like this time period had so much more class. You could absolutely fall madly in love with a woman, not because she sexualized herself for any man that would pass her by, but because YOU (and only you) saw the beauty deep within her that made you go crazy for her! And songs like this were written for that very reason! And now I'm rambling! :P I'm just very jealous!
I was a good time to live.
+RockWillLiveOn I was one of those lucky ones to be ur age during those golden days of the 80s... I still remember rocking myself during my college dance-nites.. Being myself from Bhaarath (India), I can say the same thing about the music of my country.. the music of those days are far beyond those that come out of my country today.
+RockWillLiveOn The 80s were definitely a great time to be alive for music. I absolutely love this song--probably one of my favorites from my high school years!
RIP -- Jimi Jamison
+RockWillLiveOn it was a great time to grow up, i was 12 when this song came out.
***** Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. Basically, in the 80s, pop music was actually good (and the Rock music was great!). These days, rock music has branched out into several flavors or variations, most of which are pretty good; but the pop music of today is complete crap! It's little more about trying to connect certain "artists" with tween kids and teen girls than it is about being real music.
I love this song now as much as I did when it came out. Now, can we talk about that *face?* God, he was beautiful.
Survivor were the best - it just doesn't get any better than this. I remember seeing a rock band from Scotland called Knightrider playing live in Edinburgh and I said to their singer Tam Toye "Your voice sounds like Jimi Jamison from Survivor" and the guy told me that was the finest compliment anyone could bestow. That's how well respected Survivor were. Other rock bands saw Survivor as like a benchmark, a higher level of musicianship and talent. True genius.
so this is my childhood, the past and all memories related to that... but what will my children have in 15 years? kayne west? niki minaj? justin bieber? someone stole their right to have awesome memories
I know, there seriously needs to be a big music Industry Rebellion...this shit is getting beyond ridicules! Our music and culture in America today is such trash!
That last sentence is the best most accurate statement ever. I love it, almost as much as I hate that I have to. Cheers.
😔😢
I blame it on time and the industry myself.
I'm an early/mid teen who writes songs during my free time. I see myself recording an album sometime in a year or two and I'm planning to boycott the corruption.
Survivor was a great decade of music.
Dick Clark even reportedly said that this was one of the best male voices ever ! RIP - Jimi you left a mark that we will never forget ! ❤️
