      @@david_fitzmaurice don't believe what you see. His trainer was the one who devised the plan, that 'AJ won't be able to outbox you, he will try to knock you out, so we need to make AJ weaker for that'. They convinced everyone that ruiz would be lighter on his feet (implying that they will try to 'gas' out AJ). AJ then lost weight with a strategy in mind for a 12 round jab fest, strictly no trading etc whilst ruiz assumed aj will try to knock his head off, so he put more weight on.
      Ruiz and Robles both said they didnt think aj could box like that. That's why ruiz got rid of robles later.
      Remember the images of a 'slimmer ruiz' ie the facebook angle pictures and they showed ruiz training various times but only from a distance so we cant see his shape. Ruiz was training, but he was getting bigger.

Ruiz would definitely go for the kill against Usyk unlike Joshua and having that big ball of fat coming after Usyk with those fast hands could possibly spell disaster for Usyk. But Ruiz is too short to get to Fury. Fury beats Ruiz by UD. Usyk vs Ruiz is a tricky matchup. That being said, Usyk is too small to reign as HW champion for a long time. I have a feeling he's going to try to go for undisputed with Fury sooner rather than later. And if Fury wins, then Ruiz won't win a strap unless someone else beats Fury or Fury vacates the belts.

His weigh in's show he was roughly his standard weight up until the final months before the fight. He didn't put that weight on for power, he just put it on. The Ruiz who fought Dimitrenko and Joshua, in the first fight, would've stopped Joshua again. Glad Ruiz confirmed my thoughts dude was too cautious. Ruiz vs AJ 3 would have been bigger but we can still build that up another day. AJ also could have threw hooks and hit Usyk's exposed arms/elbows before he rushed in and backpedaled. Could have used the jab to keep the Ukrainian away.

    Ironic how Andy and Ryan are with defensive heavy Reynosos and their defense got worse and got dropped

    Andy got no chance getting the belts back. He was bullied by AJ in second fight
    He doesn’t have the boxing skill of Usyk to outclass the bigger boxers

    • @110PRIMO
      @110PRIMO Před 2 lety +3

      Lmao, bullied?? AJ did no such thing. He kept his distance and boxed Ruiz from the outside. That's not bullying anybody. AJ played right into Usyk's wheelhouse by allowing him time to think and pick his shots. Ruiz will get in Usyk's face and won't give him the space to get comfortable. Styles make fights buddy.
