great vid. convinced me that paying someone is worth the money.
16:08 Love your videos!
I'm getting the Elite 3 loop fitted to my 2018 Paj next week and this video has totally relieved any post-purchase anxieties I had about choosing PIAK over "Australia's Recommended Brand"..
Thankyou!!
That was very useful info Especially about the winch, alignment and water bottle. Cool
White earth Yellow indicator is the same a trailer wiring
Thanks mate, very useful video. Do you know the total weight of the bar not including the winch?
No sorry
Mate how does it go with all of the sensors and forward collision camera?
I don't have them but the elite bar is compatible with them
Interesting to see they still label the mounting brackets wrong. L on the R/H bracket and vice versa. They did the same with my MR Triton.
I believe they may be viewing the car from the drivers seat rather than from the front bumper backwards etc
Hey mate. I’ve unpacked mine far enough to get to the instructions haha. They mention that there is a bracket for the winch control box. In your installation of the non loop bar you said you had a hard time finding somewhere to mount it. Did you manage to use the included bracket this time around? Cheers
I didn't. I made my own bracket. Unfortunately I don't think I documented it too well
Thanks for the Vid. in your honest opinion out of the 2 bars what one is better and why, please.
Hard to say. They both have their pros and cons to be honest
@@T.A.G thanks for your reply but what one would you choose if you did it all again
The elite series for sure
@@T.A.G loop or no loop
@@essentialcarsales3984 probably looped
Hey there, i’ve install the elite 3 loop bar and the washer bottle behind the grill about a year ago. Although, when the fan, behind the washer bottle turns on, the engine sounds rough. How much would you charge to move it to the same location as on your PS?
I don't do outside work sorry mate. It's not overly hard to do though. Just need a drill, rivnut kit and a little time
👍🏻
Thanks Mate, need to change my winch.. looks like (from the vid) Its just bottom (bash) plates, light wires and the main bolts at front to remove bar for access to winch. Anything i missed? Thanks again - great vid. Mick
That's it. It can be done without removing the bar but it's easier to just pull the bar off lol
Do you know if the front tow hooks are removable? One on the passenger side is a bit bent.
Hey mate, good video, I’m thinking of installing myself on an MR Triton, does the bar come with install instructions? I understand I need to move the washer bottle like you.. probably a stupid question 😂
hey mate, yeah full instructions are provided, get a friend to help and itll make it 10x easier :)
What trim level is the vehicle? I’m about to install a no loop bar and didn’t think I’d need to touch the wiring. I’ve got an Exceed, wondering whether the wiring may already be there.....
Mines a gls but the no loop doesn't need any wiring done
Ok thanks mate. Loving the videos on the PS!
I have the Piac bar on my MR GLS Triton and fitted Strip LED Progressive turn signals to the headlights because the the ones that come on the bar are not bright enough and probably not even legal. The Triton doesn't have indicators in the headlights. Only on the bumper that you remove.
Hi mate long shot but did you keep the mounts from the old bar
@@joshpollard6055 sold the bar complete
How much heavier do you think this is compared to the previous bar you had?
Honestly I think maybe 5 or 10kg max
Hey got a question mate, I've seen a piak bar on ebay for sale 2nd hand but it says with no mounting brackets? Is there anyway around that you think.
Love the vids mate.
Best to contact a piak supplier and you'll more than likely be able to buy a mounting kit seperate. There's was a bloke on Facebook the other day who had a complete seperate kit for sale as a spare
Hey mate do you know if the bar needs to be taken off completely for a winch install?
Doesn't have to be but makes it 10x easier
hey mate, is it possible to adjust side to side movement? Got it back from shop and its not quite center and is bugging me, its a bit out on the left hand side.
Yes. By the main bolts where it bolts to the chassis
have you done the Dyno tune ? is it any good ?
Not yet. It's not on the cards yet
Hey mate, if it's already been drilled into the mount is it possible to adjust the vertical or is it pretty much set in stone? Had a shop fit mine and its crooked by about am inch, the horizontal is fine but yeah. Cheers
There's only 2 bokts that "set" the bar.
If they're in the wrong spot loosen all the mounts and start again, tighten in sequence until you gsg your desired outcome then drill new "set holes"
@@T.A.G cheers mate, will have a look at it when I get some spare time
👍🏻
Is this lifted? Or stock suspension
Stock mate
@@T.A.G have you had any dramas with suspension getting it the 3loop fitted and they said it will sag after a while
@@bradleyswift1986 shes dropped all round with my bar work and a lift is on the cards.
Just waiting til I can allocate funds to it
How much length does the bar add to front from standard , need to know to see if I can fit where I need to park
Nor much at all. Less than 30cm I think. It's the reason I chose piak
How do I adjust the up and down on the bar I have a qf and it doesn’t line up with the front guards , the bar needs to be lifted , I didn’t install it but want to adjust it myself
You don't want it to line up with the front guards. There needs to be about 15mm gap between the bar and panels
I mean the lines on the panel of the qf not the gapping I’m talking about the lines on the wheel arch lining up so the arch is even and the curve smooth If you get what I’m saying
@Damien Solomons ah roger.
Check our the video where I fitted the loopless bar and I have how it's adjusted on there :)
