This was very helpful, and exactly what I needed. Our team now has a fillable and saveable form. Thank you for sharing the info!

Thank you for an excellent tutorial. A coworker taught me how to make fillable PDFs but you covered several items I did not know how to do. Your video is terrific and I have subscribed to your channel.

I tried over ten time following your instructions precisely with my Adobe Pro XI 11.0.15 and it constantly gives me an error saying "This document could not be Reader Enabled" I am going crazy!!

Great video! I have four documents that are about 45 pages each and exactly the same with the exception of the title page and one or two interior pages. Most of the document is a questionnaire. Is there any way to save the initial fillable pdf and just insert the different pages to create the other ones?

Using Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, how can one add a roll over pop-up type definition or explanatory note to a text word or phrase for clarification that only pops up when the operator rolls over the selected text with mouse? (Not sticky note - or otherwise visible). Can you do a video tutorial that would demonstrate the the appropriate &/or correct process for achieving this?

This was an awesome tutorial! However, I tried to "Save as other" -> "Reader Extended PDF" -> "Enable more tools (includes form fill in & save". It comes up with the same dialogue box you had but when I click "Save Now" it goes to a similar box and I tried to save but it said, "This document could not be Reader Enabled." I also noticed that in the area to save it had (next to the "save" button) a drop down "Save to Online Account" and I cannot get rid of it. I don't know if that is the problem?
I realise this is an old version of Adobe Acrobat, but it is still working on my computer and I'm working but not for money and I really don't have the money right now to upgrade to a later version but I need to create documents with fillable fields.
Is there anyone else with this problem?

Does there any way to change in other kind of forms instead of what Acrobat detected ? For example, it detects text fields but in my case those forms are check boxes... (I don't want to change them manually).

I have created a simple form for a spreadsheet calculation of vendor name, amount of bill, discount amount, amt. paid and balance due. All the fields are properly formatted, but I keep getting the error: "Value entered does not match format of the field [field name]" I have followed all of the suggested/recommended "fixes" found on the Acrobat forums, but nothing works. Is there anyone that can/will review this form and either make or suggest a way to make it work correctly?

It sounds like you have Adobe READER and NOT Adobe ACROBAT. "Reader" is only good for opening, entering data, and printing pdf forms. "Acrobat" is for all this and also be able to CREATE & EDIT those fillable form.

At about 9:56 you say "...someone using Adobe's Acrobat Reader can open, type information into and then save their changes." Don't you mean someone using Adobe Reader can edit? It might confuse some people into thinking that you have to have Acrobat in order to fill out the forms.

+David Martinez --not sure if you still need the answer 1 year later! A client/person you email your completed Form to, must have or install the **free Adobe Reader**. Don't know where to grab it? Google or Bing < free adobe reader >. 99% of your clients /email recipients are NOT going to install Acrobat Pro & monkey with all the programming.
