It's 2am couldn't sleep and just moved. Though to search a video on how to cover my cabinets. Played the video and scared myself so bad. The volume was almost all the way up. 😂
She made that look way too easy. I Have a hard time putting my phone screen protector on let alone a bunch of cupboards and draws hahah. I'll just stick to paint loool
Avi Kolapo I want someone to do this for me
She? I thought it was a bloke lol
Avi Kolapo made it look very difficult.
Very good but, I can't help but wonder why the hinges weren't removed also? That would have taken roughly 34 seconds and would surely have made the finished job that much better 🖒
Would it have made it better? it's not visible ....
@@martincahill7ify It is when you open the door!
It weakens the support when you screw them back in as it screws are not like bolts they damage the the wood when going in.
34 seconds😂
How would you cover the inside as well? As one piece or two?
Little bit of heavy rock and people be tripping. Wow. About to do this myself and was wondering on the best way to do the corners so thanks for the vid.
Clever stuff!!
LOVE the music! who is it? Im covering an old metal cab in garage. how smooth does it need to be? do you have carbon fiber?
Great video. What type of knife are you using?
Gosh I wish you could come and do mine!! 😁
I'd have to cover inside the door as well
What does it look like when you take of it off ? Does it leave glue?
How long will last? I want to wrap only the upper doors like this one in the clip.
Great totural
I googled this then remembered I'd already done this in the apartment. Been about 6 years and still looks like new. (new build house car room needs kitchen units to match the car).
Is this wrap vinyl or standard cast polymeric?
ROCK AND ROLL!!!
You did a great job but I'm wondering how long it will look as good. Plus I would not be able to do a door that has mouldings or paneling like this. I'm sure you could. You did make it look so easy. I know I would stuff it up completely. .
Using a heat gun is better especially for doors with mouldings
@@justmoii6119 read several people that have used heat guns complaining as it stretches it and after 12 months it starts to shrink back again :/ so it worries me
Instead of cutting the corners, can you heat this and stretch it over to give a seamless effect?
No the vinyl is not comfortable. Normal vinyl £5 per meter, comfortable wrap vinyl £20 per meter
These door are quick release hinges. No need to unscrewww.......;)
Should of taken them off the door rather than the cabinet and not risk scratching the table.
Would require readjustment on refitting the door. Better to unscrew from the fixed point so the door sits exactly the same when you rehang it
Can you still wrap even iff the front of the door wasn’t perfectly flat?
Could you do a front door?
I know it's the front that's usually on show, but it looks cheap and unfinished when you open the door. The cut outs for the hinges and the unequal size of the vinyl going around the door really detracts from the overall finish. I would have to cover the inside or it would annoy me every time I opened the door.
hi! is the cabinet MDF board or full wood?
Hi, this is a full wooden door but it can also be applied to MDF.
What about the sides of the cupboards, i wouldnt wanna take the whole cupboard off the wall. Any tips??
how did it gooo, very nosey :)
There's no way that wrap is solidly stuck around those edges is there? And your corners are trimmed on both sides leaving the wrap only butted against itself on the corner, very weak finish that would shrink away over time or get caught and pull off the corner, am I right? Please someone explain
One question, most wraps come in only 12inches across, 30cm, so how would you wrap these units using 2 different sheets?? surely it would be noticeable yes? can we only do it with the larger diameter wrap?
They come bigger than that my guy in uk they do and on amazon let's say they do 60cm wide as door can be 600mm
I recently bought 60cm ones off eBay and before that 90cm ones. They were reasonably priced as well and the 90cm ones I got for the counter tops and the island and they're still going since 2019.
I am trying to redo using this on my kitchen cabinets but I am a renter and the doors aren't flat they have a s kind of shape dip to the edges how could I get a crisp seal
I would try a heat gun or hairdryer to work it into uneven contours.
No heat applied?
Hi, is there a way of repairing and wrapping chipped chipboard doors?
Yeah use a wood filler preferably 2 pack filler fill the imperfections rub it down then vinyl 😃
Hi how to properly wrap doors that are too big for 1 sheet? I have this door and I find the edge lines overlapping each other ugly. What’s the best approach?
Hide the meeting inside along the edge
Would it stick to plain MDF?
Hi, Yes will stick to MDF.
I live in an apt and the cabinets looks over painted. Will these work for cabinets?
Hi, Yes they will work on any smooth surface check out our full range of architectural wrap here: www.wrapdirect.com/architectural-wrap/
What if you have a groove/bevel in the door design (like an indent border)
Depends how deep it is and how complicated the design is. If it is a simple groove then you can heat the vinyl and stretch it into the groove as you apply. If it is a complicated design it may not work.
@@WrapDirect if u have a door with grooves and design on it is there a way to make it flat?
@@lauralaverty9232 Is the door flat on the back, if so some customers flip them around and have the back facing out. You would need to drill the holes for the brackets and handles though. The other option is a thin sheet of plywood cut to the size of the door and bonded on to it and then wrap over it.
@@WrapDirect thanks so much. Can i just ask how u would fill the holes already on the inside for the hinges?
@@lauralaverty9232 Just a bit of wood filler which is available in your local DIY shop.
is this removable?
Yes fully removable.
Would applying heat with a heat gun give it a better glue-fix?
Not with thus but it would make it more maliable to work it into uneven contours.
cover the inside or trim the back...leaving that remnant looks like a poor job...easy application though
Not too sure on the beat homie but boy can you wrap.
You need to wrap the whole of the door
How long did this take you?
Allow about 20 minutes for each large door.
How do you remove it?
heat gun
Briget Young you can use a hairdryer to warm it up that’s what are used to put it on to make a bit more flexible
i dont want to sound stupid but the inside of the door will look strange should you not cut to the lip of the door and not to the inside??
Interesting. Can this be done to an exterior door?
Yes most of our vinyls can be applied to the exterior.
can i but this on apartment kitchen cabinets with no issue with removing it?
Yes it is fully removable and will protect the doors too
Does the wrap comply with fire safety regulations? How do the wrapped panels perform in the event of fire? Amount.. Toxicity of smoke.. Can you please clarify?
Not being funny but if your house is on fire I think you got bigger things to worry about
I was gonna say pvc so yeah, but you nailed it.
Take hinges off door, Spray the whole door with soapy water using a garden sprayer and the vinyl can be slid around then use the squeegee from the centre. No need for turning over malarkey Once bubbles are out go over it with hair dryer. You made that look hard work, no wonder it was speeded up. Also why not vinyl the inside too, looks very shoddy.
Wow, you sound like a real expert! Can you send me a link to YOUR masterclass video?!
@@pablobrad100 What he suggested wouldn't work as taking those type of hinges off, an reattaching them make them lose their integrity. So best to just leave them and work around it.
Thumbs up, but minus 1 star for the music.🤣🤣
Is this a new trend? The door looks nice but I would want it completely wrapped, not just the outside. Are there companies in South Africa that do full wraps? In Jhb to be specific.
What a row.....
If I walked into buy a house and found that, I'd walk straight back out
Good video but the music? Nearly blew my ear drums
What's with the music
will it damage the cabinets
Andrea Thompson No it will protect them and is fully removable
God the music drove me crazy 🤪
My door is 60 wide the same width as the largest vinyl I can find 🤷♀️
You can get 67 from wilkos
Didnt see or explain to clean the back face and all the edges as kitchen cupboards are naturally more greasy/dirty on the opening edge through use. Didnt remove back hinges or lay cardboard and a soft sheet to protect the vinyl when flipped over on the table. Angle of the sheet and positioning yourself when applying was wrong making it more difficult. To get a more "paint" like finish you should heat up the vinyl with heat gun or a hairdryer to wrap the corner section then make the 45° cut, It wasn't wrapped tight enough around all the edges I could see noticeable bridging everywhere over time with everyday use they will eventually lift.
That's you being picky each to there own
Finally someone with sense.

Music so annoying, what are tools your using ?
These tools here: www.carwrapdirect.com/combo-special-felt-squeegee-and-9mm-retractable-blade/
But it’s still white when you open the door 🥺
косяк на 3.14 минуте
Love that you do it without removing the doors! Now my turn to do mine 😃
Sorry but you are mistaken. The doors are removed before applying the vinyl wrapping.
Did you actually watch the video. It plainly showed the door being taken off and laid on a table for the wrap to be applied
Are you high or smth?
My husband uses these plans from Stodoys and is very happy with them. However. I love yours!
Paint is a whole lot easier
There are projects on how to do this on the Stodoys plans website.
Damn people just turn your sound off. Stop complaining about the music. It’s not like they talk in this vid you literally don’t need the sound on.
Video very satisfying but i hate the colour 🤣
But every time you open the kitchen door, you will see very poor finishing where the vinyl wraps around - This would annoy the hell out of me!
You can also wrap around the back of the door but you would need twice as much material. Depending on budget it is easily done.
pay for new units then
hello as said it"s not fully wrap , customer will have one Face wrap instead of full color before! could you please show a video how to full wrap a cabinet ? thanks
i will send a email regarding further collaboration
You could just trim it so it’s flush then use a glue or gum to strengthen the raw edge. It’s just to get it as a more secure finish that it’s done this way
Don’t open the doors then 😂😂😂😂
Music is maddening
Disgraceful! Cutting around hinges and leaving the back unfinished? Are the doors not expected to ever be opened???
Ffs, that music.
Have people forgotten how to write music. Better to use DIY music if making a DIY video.
That is a lesson on how NOT to squeegee vinyl. you should always be at 45 degrees
hate the loud music
music ruined it
And then you have to wrap the kitchen table after scratching it to bits with the hinges from the door. Cover the table for crying out loud.
MUSIC makes this UNWATCHABLE , Sorry.
Yes unfortunately we can't change the music on it after its been published, we tried :-P We have just uploaded our new video for kitchen cabinets with a more mellow soundtrack here: czcams.com/video/hhKJc9hIf2E/video.html
I watched without sound and still learnt from this tutorial.
Just turn it off.
@@WrapDirect I thought the music was great.
Music is tooooo much, can't/won't watch!
Karen Weber so why not turn the volume off!!!!
It's called mute...
Just lower your volume. Don't you have a volume slider/button?
Wtf is this music needed for?
The music is so annoying
sweet, so now when people open your cabinets it'll be obvious you cheaped out and vinyl wrapped your cabinet doors. seriously, what is the point of this?
@ABentPaperclip 19 year old kitchen in a rental property I own, all the cupboard doors have delaminated, but the doors themselves are excellent condition, so my options are, replace the kitchen (£5000), buy replacement doors (£800) , wrap them in vinyl (£100). I dont care who opens the doors and sees theyre wrapped as long as I get my rent every month. Thats the point for me.
stop the music. horrible
Enormous amount of labor
That stuff is not as easy to apply as everybody makes it seem and I wouldn't want to give odds on how long it will stay looking good.
STUPID aggresive music
Unfortunately they won't let us change the music after a certain amount of views. Our newer videos are more laid back beats :-)
WrapDirect ok cool because I don't think your target clients are acid rock stoners!!!!
In a busy kitchens this won't last, do for a while, but we want long term. No offence.
Hi, Yes they won't last 20 years but they are a hard wearing pvc vinyl and generally last over 5 years in a busy kitchen so are a great affordable option to update or customize the kitchen. The other great thing about them is you can peel off a door if it gets damaged and replace the vinyl which wouldn't be possible with a laminated door.
@@WrapDirect how much would it cost to do standard size kitchens and can you do moulded doors or is just slab doors.
@@WrapDirect I just tried to check out on your site: the are way too many hidden fees! You charge if€ which my creditcard charges for conversion+ you calculate delivery per meter. So no thanks I'll stick to Amazon
What’s with this awful music?
Horrible music selection
I think painting would be better 🤔
Music is tooooo much, can't/won't watch!
Maybe you should try that other CZcams video that EXPLAINS HOW THE FRIGGIN' MUTE AND VOLUME BUTTONS WORK. A free, informative video and people just wanna b*tch.
