Yes. I always believed that the relationship chart between the characters has been shifted in a way that is now really weird. The implied romantic interest between cas and toast(now sister-in-laws) the most obvious being Deckard and bee (she met him when he was a baby) It's like they wanted a romantic relationship in the show but changed it at the last minute.

She did save his life and sacrificed her own. Then there is Wesley and Fish Girl, will they ever meet again? Tim is so secretive, we know zero to nothing about him. And what happened to the parents of the Wizard siblings? We also still need to know who is Cardamon's dad, is it Bee's dad, Bird?

And in episode 3 when she tries to comfort Deckard, he even gets flashbacks to her comforting him as a baby while she's fully grown (or at least looks the same as she does present day). But despite this, characters like Crispin had dated and still have feelings for Bee, despite her being so much older. I know it's a debatable situation since she's a robot and still doesn't act her age and everyone is an adult, but this is just a major weird implication about the relationships in the show that are not really addressed from what I've seen. Same goes for Puppycat and Bee herself, as Puppycat raised Bee's human form as a baby when he was an adult too. But they're not a canon couple of the show, its more a fandom thing so it's not the shows fault exactly, but still mentionable.

True, I would also like to know more about this. It seems to me that maybe the show is exploring love as a general, not just romantic love, which often is the main focus of many stories and shows. In Bee and Puppycat love is explored on so many levels and the show is placing more emphasis on caregiving, friendship and looking out for each other. So other kind of love in people's lives is given more importance than romantic love.

I wouldn’t personally describe the relationships as inappropriate so much vague and unconventional. There’s a lot left unexplained, and, besides, people are complicated, and that means relationships are, too. We’ve all had feelings for someone we probably shouldn’t have. It’s just part of the weirdness and messiness of life. Aside from that, great breakdown! Bee & Puppycat is one of my favorite cartoons ever. It’ll be amazing if they do continue it. 😊

The whole point is that Puppycat is an unreliable narrator and that we don't know what really happened. he also thinks that the pricness betrayed him after all, and the story mostly points to it being a misunderstanding. He thinks the princess is chasing him, but its probably just the space king. he might even think puppycat kidnapped the princess if she disappeared to chase after puppycat herself because she loves him.
Man this was a great animation it was simple and story was good character are great. But it's been a year since this animation team isn't done yet but agreeing I would like a season 2 coming but, idk when will that happen, I'll gladly wait for it.
This show has outside funding and is an outside production, netflix will generally air the shows for very cheap because they make their money off of merchandise, whereas inside job was inside produced.

Regardless of how well B&P has performed on Netflix with viewership numbers, Netflix will still stream the next season because they wouldn't have to invest money into making it. If a series (or movie) is an outside production (funded and owned by another company/person), and it looks decent/professional enough, Netflix will pay a modest licensing fee to stream it for a year or more. (Amazon is also pretty open to doing this, too.)
There were a couple things they redid in the Netflix series, and I think part of that was Bee's crush on Dekard from the pilot. I think it's normal for Dekard to have a crush on Bee. He will get over it, they're definitely not endgame or any kind of game

I'm curious what its like for someone seeing it for the first time through the netflix version. I personally loved the reboot story and a lot of the changes they made. Episode 3 was basically where the original youtube version ended its first season, so its interesting you stopped there.
I watched it on Netflix first (I've seen it way too many times at this point haha) & ended up researching it because it intrigued me quite a bit. So very complicated. I then watched the originals online agter discovering them but... I do like the Netflix version better. Maybe because it is what I started with?

No, season one was on youtube, but the first 3 episodes retell the events of season 1 on youtube. Initially episodes 3+ were a sequel called Lazy in Space, but it was never officially launched. When Netflix acquired the show, they made 3 more episodes to sum everything up for people who are new to the series.
I would be very surprised if it gets a second or third season, it has a lot of things to fix. Love the art, love the designs and music, but voiceacting, story telling, character dev, writting needs get better. The show feels like someone is trying to tell me a dream and I have to pay way too much attention to understand the logic and were its getting to. Still I hope it does well, its a series that needs to do better but still has potential.
I think if you're constantly confused about what's happening, that's actually a "you" problem. Let me ask you: when you were watching, did you have your full attention on the screen? How many times have you watched it? Have you watched it with a lot of pausing to see fine details? Sure, there are a bunch of things that are left unexplained, but you can make your own theories using the information provided to come up with a conclusion/theory. I think the show is written like this on-purpose, because it wants the viewer to actively use their imagination and come up with their own explanations. If you think this is wrong, give a good example. Also, there will probably some big payoffs in future episodes. Imagine judging the entirety of Steven Universe based on the first 32 episodes (the approximate runtime of Bee and Puppycat so far). Or I don't know, Adventure Time. Any show that has a seemingly limited scope in story early on but by the end, is wildly different than what it seemed to be at first. For character development, I don't really know what you mean by this. Are you trying to say that every character needs to have a massive character arc where they change in very significant ways, and if a character doesn't go through that sort of thing, they're automatically bad? I would argue Bee goes through some very large changes, not only on screen but the viewer's perception of the character as the show plays out. Same with Puppycat.
The dream-like aspect of the series feels pretty much intentional. Plot-wise, something I love about this show is that no one owes the audience an explanation, events just go down and characters go about their business while we're just tagging along. You think, at first, that the story will progress naturally from the moment we start watching, but thing is, we actually just got here, and have no clue of what's going on until someone happens to mention important information. I think it's an intriguing and unique choice for a narrative structure, and no other piece of media that I know of does anything remotely similar. The voice acting is amazing, too. It's laid back and natural, and the refreshing or weirdly specific delivery of certain lines makes them much funnier than they should be. It's hysterical, and also sweet at times. Depends on the moment. I think it's yet another characteristic that helps this show stand out as its own thing Edit: what I would like to add here is that all these details that might seem misplaced at first, are rather compelling when viewed from a wider perspective. They all serve the purpose of giving the series its own flavor, and build a distinctive identity

I love the aesthetic and vibes, and I've been a fan since the pilot but it is really confusing discerning between the random plot lore hints and the "lolrandom" plot in general from the series. I feel like (where we are now) we're heading towards a conclusion that's just going to confuse me/ not be satisfying lol but I bet fans would shout " IT WAS SO EASY TO FOLLOW, DID YOU SEE THAT LORE HINT EPISODE 4 AT 14:05 IN THE BLURRY FOREGROUND?! YOU JUST HAVE TO TILT YOUR HEAD SLIGHTLY AND CLOSE ONE EYE! THAT EXPLAINED EVERYTHING!" lol not that I want everything spelled out for me but doing a series this way where you have to reach and search for meaning/plot isn't fun for me. this is why there's so many insane theories. I hope it's just 1st season goofs and it'll gain a sense of direction soon :3

Like when Puppycat signals to a ship using a part from Bee's bike and it sinks, you can very easily assume that it's a comedic moment. Also, if you watch it once, half-paying attention. Like you're on your phone or playing video games while "watching" well yeah, you're gonna be missing a lot of details and it's going to be confusing. it's extremely clear what is happening at the end of the season. They are going to space to seek out Bee's Dad because Bee/Moully are damaged badly and their location was compromised. How is it confusing? Yes, details like "why does Violet need to be hooked up" weren't explained, but I think they had future episodes in mind when deciding to not really outright explain it. The main conflict lies with Puppycat and whoever is seeking his capture. Violet and Bee's dad have big roles in this story as well as we see that they had a past together as a candy hunting team. However we do not have the full picture with their characters and thats ok. It's still quite early in terms of the # of episodes when you think about it. Resolutions to this would clearly involve defeating these "rulers", reversing the curse that Puppycat has, fixing Bee and Moully, etc. If everything were already laid out in full, it would not make for a very compelling experience.
With the cancelation of the last season of Dead End: Paranormal Park and how they renewed Inside Job for a 2nd season last June only to cancel that too a few days ago.....I don't trust Netflix with any animated series I enjoy.
I dont think the creators understand that, the whole reason Bee and Puppy cat is Bee and Puppy cat, is that how RANDOM the story plot is and how Unique it is. They need to start focusing on that, instead of trying to “MAKE SENSE” of story plot in whole. I love it how the details and hints would make me feel like a child watching a cartoon because it just did not make sense but somehow it fit, Ive followed it since the Bee and Puppy cat began and Netflix kind off took the charm out of the story “trying to make sense” of the whole story. I think they low key ruined it😅

Man this was a great animation it was simple and story was good character are great. But it's been a year since this animation team isn't done yet but agreeing I would like a season 2 coming but, idk when will that happen, I'll gladly wait for it.

After Inside Job getting the axe, I don’t have much hope for this show.
This show has outside funding and is an outside production, netflix will generally air the shows for very cheap because they make their money off of merchandise, whereas inside job was inside produced.

Regardless of how well B&P has performed on Netflix with viewership numbers, Netflix will still stream the next season because they wouldn't have to invest money into making it. If a series (or movie) is an outside production (funded and owned by another company/person), and it looks decent/professional enough, Netflix will pay a modest licensing fee to stream it for a year or more. (Amazon is also pretty open to doing this, too.)

There were a couple things they redid in the Netflix series, and I think part of that was Bee's crush on Dekard from the pilot. I think it's normal for Dekard to have a crush on Bee. He will get over it, they're definitely not endgame or any kind of game
bee and deckard are more like mother and son, but she does like clown boy. cass is bisexual, toast is too and the man who knows everyones secrets is gay.

I'm curious what its like for someone seeing it for the first time through the netflix version. I personally loved the reboot story and a lot of the changes they made. Episode 3 was basically where the original youtube version ended its first season, so its interesting you stopped there.
I watched it on Netflix first (I've seen it way too many times at this point haha) & ended up researching it because it intrigued me quite a bit. So very complicated. I then watched the originals online agter discovering them but... I do like the Netflix version better. Maybe because it is what I started with?

No, season one was on youtube, but the first 3 episodes retell the events of season 1 on youtube. Initially episodes 3+ were a sequel called Lazy in Space, but it was never officially launched. When Netflix acquired the show, they made 3 more episodes to sum everything up for people who are new to the series.
I would be very surprised if it gets a second or third season, it has a lot of things to fix.
Love the art, love the designs and music, but voiceacting, story telling, character dev, writting needs get better.
The show feels like someone is trying to tell me a dream and I have to pay way too much attention to understand the logic and were its getting to. Still I hope it does well, its a series that needs to do better but still has potential.
I think if you're constantly confused about what's happening, that's actually a "you" problem. Let me ask you: when you were watching, did you have your full attention on the screen? How many times have you watched it? Have you watched it with a lot of pausing to see fine details?
Sure, there are a bunch of things that are left unexplained, but you can make your own theories using the information provided to come up with a conclusion/theory. I think the show is written like this on-purpose, because it wants the viewer to actively use their imagination and come up with their own explanations. If you think this is wrong, give a good example.
Also, there will probably some big payoffs in future episodes. Imagine judging the entirety of Steven Universe based on the first 32 episodes (the approximate runtime of Bee and Puppycat so far). Or I don't know, Adventure Time. Any show that has a seemingly limited scope in story early on but by the end, is wildly different than what it seemed to be at first.
For character development, I don't really know what you mean by this. Are you trying to say that every character needs to have a massive character arc where they change in very significant ways, and if a character doesn't go through that sort of thing, they're automatically bad? I would argue Bee goes through some very large changes, not only on screen but the viewer's perception of the character as the show plays out. Same with Puppycat.
All thoes things are design choices, its alot like steven universe and adventure time.
The dream-like aspect of the series feels pretty much intentional. Plot-wise, something I love about this show is that no one owes the audience an explanation, events just go down and characters go about their business while we're just tagging along. You think, at first, that the story will progress naturally from the moment we start watching, but thing is, we actually just got here, and have no clue of what's going on until someone happens to mention important information. I think it's an intriguing and unique choice for a narrative structure, and no other piece of media that I know of does anything remotely similar.
The voice acting is amazing, too. It's laid back and natural, and the refreshing or weirdly specific delivery of certain lines makes them much funnier than they should be. It's hysterical, and also sweet at times. Depends on the moment. I think it's yet another characteristic that helps this show stand out as its own thing
Edit: what I would like to add here is that all these details that might seem misplaced at first, are rather compelling when viewed from a wider perspective. They all serve the purpose of giving the series its own flavor, and build a distinctive identity
I agree. I love the aesthetic and vibes, and I've been a fan since the pilot but it is really confusing discerning between the random plot lore hints and the "lolrandom" plot in general from the series. I feel like (where we are now) we're heading towards a conclusion that's just going to confuse me/ not be satisfying lol but I bet fans would shout " IT WAS SO EASY TO FOLLOW, DID YOU SEE THAT LORE HINT EPISODE 4 AT 14:05 IN THE BLURRY FOREGROUND?! YOU JUST HAVE TO TILT YOUR HEAD SLIGHTLY AND CLOSE ONE EYE! THAT EXPLAINED EVERYTHING!" lol not that I want everything spelled out for me but doing a series this way where you have to reach and search for meaning/plot isn't fun for me. this is why there's so many insane theories. I hope it's just 1st season goofs and it'll gain a sense of direction soon :3
@@sadbunz lol random plot? The only lol random moments are fairly easy to discern. Like when Puppycat signals to a ship using a part from Bee's bike and it sinks, you can very easily assume that it's a comedic moment.
Also, if you watch it once, half-paying attention. Like you're on your phone or playing video games while "watching" well yeah, you're gonna be missing a lot of details and it's going to be confusing.
it's extremely clear what is happening at the end of the season. They are going to space to seek out Bee's Dad because Bee/Moully are damaged badly and their location was compromised. How is it confusing? Yes, details like "why does Violet need to be hooked up" weren't explained, but I think they had future episodes in mind when deciding to not really outright explain it.
The main conflict lies with Puppycat and whoever is seeking his capture. Violet and Bee's dad have big roles in this story as well as we see that they had a past together as a candy hunting team. However we do not have the full picture with their characters and thats ok. It's still quite early in terms of the # of episodes when you think about it.
Resolutions to this would clearly involve defeating these "rulers", reversing the curse that Puppycat has, fixing Bee and Moully, etc.
If everything were already laid out in full, it would not make for a very compelling experience.

With the cancelation of the last season of Dead End: Paranormal Park and how they renewed Inside Job for a 2nd season last June only to cancel that too a few days ago.....I don't trust Netflix with any animated series I enjoy.
Screw that ending it on the second season crap. All good things come in threes.
I dont think the creators understand that, the whole reason Bee and Puppy cat is Bee and Puppy cat, is that how RANDOM the story plot is and how Unique it is. They need to start focusing on that, instead of trying to “MAKE SENSE” of story plot in whole. I love it how the details and hints would make me feel like a child watching a cartoon because it just did not make sense but somehow it fit, Ive followed it since the Bee and Puppy cat began and Netflix kind off took the charm out of the story “trying to make sense” of the whole story. I think they low key ruined it😅
