imagine putting in 2 augments in the game to justify the meme that is her 4, or use a with her passiv snapshotted roar....would be really weird just using weapons to strip armor and let the turrets do the work, move a bit and do it again. i am just waiting to get a fourth owl for dante as an augment, itll be wild.
Should've just been an augment to glue dispensary to you instead imo, and not require temporal anchor
Tbh i wouldn't mind if proteas 4th ability was a channel or like dagaths grave spirit, and it worked like ekkos ult from League. I feel like it would fix how bad the ability is
Now imagine if Vauban got an augment to make all his orbs stay on him (preferably not just his 2 abilities), I know DE wouldn't do that but imagine how fun it would be to run around with a vortex and 4 flechette traps on you.
lol that would honestly make me so happy 🤣 Vauban is already my "cheese any mission" frame, but that would be ridiculous
Imagine an augment that allows his Photon Strike to endlessly follow his movement path.
Make it look like Vauban's beam of destruction is malfunctioning and he's fleeing from it.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but if instead of the turrets it was the dispensory what followed her around, with some kind of extra buff or paused duration or something too, it would have been much better

If you going to play protea at all you should just play xaku. He her but way better lol.
Xaku was greatly affected in this new update in terms of damage, he is better in terms of mobility but in terms of damage and survival I prefer protea@@jaketheman1577

They really want you to use Temporal Anchor for no reason
Temporal Anchor is a bad skill and no augments is going to change the ease of just slapping on Roar or Nourish to make us use it.

Maybe if they made her 4 put a pause on all of her abilities, but then again Xaku exists sooo. Yea it wouldn’t be so bad but her 4 is just such a waste of literal time and literal energy.
If any warframe makes sense with timers its protia, just have all of her abilities on timers and have her 4 use energy to fast forward her

I personally like it. Having a turret that follows you as a player who likes having an active playstyle feels good, and it's still on top of the other turrets.
I don't feel like a budget Xaku with this augment. The following turret is just on top of what Protea already does. That's my personal opinion.
yeah it's very strange that people are making the xaku comparison. xaku is still anchored by their gaze, and in practice they're much less mobile than protea with the aug.

Just saying try max range with 150 percent duration and replace her ultimate with larva from nidius her turrets have infinite punch through and you'll be able to kill hordes faster.

You just need a shitton of strength so it fully strips on that second hit in which enemies usually die then

You can't use the augment without her 4th ability which is her subsume slot
You can put the same build I used in the second one onto the 1st one no problem, protea doesnt really have surviving issues with shield satellites, the 1st one I just did to get the most amount of duration onto the turret :)
Just make it so you dont need her 4 and can only have 1 turret out. EZ fix

You didn’t like the augment? I actually like it, dunno why it’s limited to 20x but I’ll tell you what augment is trash is the new Dagath one. Maybe I don’t innerstand it properly but as it stands you have 2 cooldowns on the ability now
If you could have all 3 your turrets attached, then I would like it a lot, but as it stands you get one which is sad, and then it only scales to 20x which is like making the turret both weaker and limiting the amount, you get more power out of the turrets but just casting all 3 where ever you go, protea already has 0 energy issues so spam casting is not an issue either, it's nice to have a turret attached and near infinite duration, but I just wish it was atleast all 3 if the damage gets nerfed that much.
dagaths augment is actually REALLY good for her, i'm uploading a video on that one tomorrow so i'll explain in detail then :)
Dagaths augment makes you proc Doom on ALL weapons and abilities. The ability itself gives you 50% Crit damage and a bonus 100% damage to Doomed enemies. And kills reduce the cooldown. I'm not sure what you mean when you say it has 2 cooldowns.
@@Purturtur you have the cooldown from the augment itself and then when you get the required kills from the augment, you get the original cooldown from the skill.
@@Rich_Rulez The "1 sec kill reduce" only applies after spectral form ends. But Your not factoring in that dagath already oneshot enemies, the CD will feel like nothing. She already has shield gate/immunity from her 4th.

I know a guy, that knows a guy, that heard about a guy that not subsumed over protea's 4th.
Only 1 turret suks, only stacking to 20 makes it useless.
Arguable the worst augment mod in the game.
Why wait a turret to scale higher when they dead already. You do realize the turrets lifespan can be easily modded for like over minutes when you just recast the 4th ability. You can still cast two other turrets with normal duration. In the new event. Protea is easily one of the better frames for energy and killing wise
I’ve been saying it was bad since it was announced as an OG protea main it should be obvious to us that anything that requires her 4 is gonna be dogshit I’d much rather bring roar or anything else to achieve must higher results

Pretty sure is skill issue. I got that too but after 2 3 hrs use it, it will be the must have skill with me.
And yes, it happen before jade update, when armor strip is must have too. So her 4 can armor strip and make.her revive when 1 shield is not enough

@@nguyenhuyduc9151 justifying your comfort and enjoyment with a build is one thing but I really don’t think not wanting to use two augment mods and a shit 4 is a skill issue why would I want to cut my current damage in half? Protea doesn’t need armor stripping she never has is it nice? Sure. Is it fun to mess around with? Also sure. Is it the best build for her? Definitely not.
You having an augur mod on Protea already says enough.
Might want to use better mods for survivability that dont mess up the shieldgate mechanics from the satellite. Archon vitality is also a key factor for boosting turret damage.
Id go for
Archon stretch
Temporal erosion
Temporal artillery
Blind rage
Archon stretch
Rolling guard
Primed continuity
Primed surefooted
Equilibrium and corrosove projection.
Equilibrium + dispensery universal health orb is a lot of energy
Use shards for casting speed and energy.
The new augment is good for a 360° artillery. You can still cast more if they not enough. Melts acolytes pretty easily too
New augment is terrible sadly, the cap goes against what her blaze artillery does, it's fine for base lvl steel path though so no worries if you like it, also just a recommendation, stop getting opinions from other creators before testing yourself, the augur thing, is/was a bug, doesn't happen anymore, for context what happens when you hit the shield gate now from satellite you get an amplified shield gate that gets overridden by any new ones you form, that's intended, so the downtime of shieldgate to new satellite cast is basically a result of null because the cast time is short enough to compensate for it, if you wanna remove shield refreshes, that's cool man, I have never intended my content to be the rule, its my preference, and you are more than free to have yours, but the bug was fixed and now it exchanges shield gates, like its supposed to be, as a spam cast warframe I have not once had an issue with any form of play with protea, if I had, I would've made the changes, this was not so much a build video as it was a showcase for the augment and the new helminth on protea, temporal erosion is good, I really enjoy it, but it now gets a bit dumpstered by eyes because its defense strip not just armor, if they change erosion to a defense strip then I will go back to it as well, please don't take anything I said above as mean, I am just responding and you cant hear my tone of voice through messages so don't read to heavily into it if it comes across as mean spirited, because it really isn't
your build is decent I just wouldn't use corrosive projection if you already are using erosion since they both strip armor, erosion will just full strip, so no real need for projection, don't know why archon strech instead of regular strech though, i'm assuming companion with arc coil?
I would get flow in there instead of energy shards, but thats me, if you prefer the archon version of getting energy thats fine too
@@morning8590 could be then that my build might be outdated if they have truly fixed brief respite and the augur mods resetting the sheildgate. Corrosove peojection is and was pretty nice but forgot that theres the new starus rework with armor strip that its not so important anymore to use fill strip and partial stripping works wonders too

they are really trying to force people to use her 4 like okay then how bout make 4 more game viable, most of warframe is MOBILE, you move room to room progressing a map, an ability that just undoes your movement for basically nothing in the bigger picture of play isnt good its why it was pretty much helminth fodder slot on her. rest of her kit is amazing but tying augments to her least useful is just a slap in the face
and for anyone who wants to say "you know you can just cancel her 4 without getting launched back in time" realize you are coping, you cast her 4 at that point to get genuinely NOTHING but an energy cost just to make the augment function, that is not good from a design standpoint, they couldve made you have 1 turret flat out, doubled its duration at base and POSSIBLY removed or just increased the cap to 30. this is a "we made a cool thing and are trying to push ppl to interact with it by linking things to it"
This is a really REALLY bad take, the augment is actually busted especially with the erosion augment as well...
