Definitely. Compared to the first one, despite it being an (at that point) next-gen game, the graphics weren’t all that great or impressive. At least in my opinion.

Spider man web of shadows is clearly the best as far as an actual story and a good choice based game. its easily my favorite and I still can't believe it was delisted.

The reputation bar seriously killed TASM2 game, I actually enjoyed the web swinging when im not getting shot at or EMPed every two seconds
I always tried to recreate some scenes from the movies in the games, I swear my "Hero" bar was completely full but in less than 10 minutes, trying to do the scenes, the "Menace" bar was already full
This Hero/Menace bar is my biggest problem with this game
@Marvin Pugh I Agree, one thing I didn't liked about web swing in the older games (except Web Of Shadows) is that the camera automatically resets to Spider-Man's back when you swing, even when you tried to move it
Web Of Shadows and TASM 1 are my choices to recreate scenes because of Web Of Shadows' amazing web swing and TASM 1 cinematic camera
Is there any cheat or a mod out there that keeps your rep at heroic or disables the thing completely?
@@thatrandomguy3011 I've looked this kind of mod for a while but the only mods I found were either costumes or graphics, but some players suggests you to web swing in some scripted missions where you're free roam with the bar disabled, but also no crimes available
I guess that's the only solution

Love the first game, the camera view was very unique for a Spider-Man game and made the web swinging have a nice effect. The second game tried something new with the swinging by alternating the swings using the L2/R2 bumpers but felt off
but still tasm 2 is better because in tasm 1 your just swinging off the clouds
u realize most spider man games are like this right? the web swinging in the first game was broken and completely unrealistic, how could you say it fell off. ur suppposed to be swinging off buildings not from the sky

The first tasm is a better game under almost any aspect, even with all his limitations, and I've always thought it was a good game per se. The second just seems like a downgrade of the first one, even the web swing, yeah the webs do attach (kinda, not really) to buildings but it just isn't as fun anyway
I like more TASM 2 graphics for the saturation

I grew up with TASM 1 and I remember being so excited a week before I bought it because I got an A on my 3rd grade studies class and the way to reward me was to buy the game since I was wanting it but I never had the chance to get it, and when I played it I used to think it was so realistic and out of this world then when I played the second one I didn’t like it because it felt like it had less flare for their story and graphics and I remembered I hated it so yeah TASM 1 is my all time favorite next to web of shadows and shattered dimensions

TASM 2 game failed because of the budget issues beenox had to face. Activison found destiny series to earn money from and because of that beenox had to face budget issues. That's why TASM 1's graphics is crysis compared to TASM 2

The camera just looks like its too close to Spiderman while he swings in the fist game
The first game felt smoother to me and the story felt less confusing
the fact that the 1st one has two black suits, one of them inspired in the TASM I suit, which is my fav, it's a winning factor for me. specially since I have the 2nd one and always get annoyed by the reputation factor that doesn't let me swing around without any worries. and also got bored of all the suits and can't get the dlc suits anymore in my xbox360

The Amazing Spider-Man is far away from being a good game, but it certainly is very fun. The stealth is pretty good, the combat is fluid, the story is ok and the graphics look better than in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 at least...
But, to be clear, both games are sort of empty and with low quality most of the time.
What bothers me the most in both games is the web swinging. It's terrible in both games!
If you want to play a GOOD Spider-Man game, there are so many options: Marvel's Spider-Man (The first one), Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (PS3 version), Spider-Man 2, even Spider-Man 3.

I like that TASM2 is more contained in plot, it's rival factions fighting over the city.
TASM1 is one of five games in a row requiring Spider-Man to stop a world threatening disaster, I prefer the more contained style.

I will never understand how developers were able to make good graphics in the first game but worse graphics in the second one. I mean come on you could've just used the same graphics from TASM 1 but you even fucked that up. What did you even do in the 2 years between both games? Were they high when they made TASM2??? Literally none of what we saw in the film translated onto the Game. Kingpin is in it, a character Sony can’t even use in the movie??? Electro and Green Goblin are only there for Cameos??? Kraven is in it to kill Spider-Man yet also wants to teach him how to kill??? Carnage was the main villain the whole time before we even saw Venom??? Shocker is in it for like 2 minutes??? They don’t even show how Max became Electro or how Harry became the Goblin??? Gwen isn’t even in it??? Aunt may is in it for 2 seconds??? The graphics somehow got worse??? Wtf happened???
