Love „TTWII“ so much too. Love all songs, but „Bridge over troubled water“ is blowing me away every time I hear this. Best performance ever! Elvis is looking like a greece god and not from this world! His voice is incredibly beautiful and unrivaled.

No one before or since than this man... has had so much charisma and ruled the stage.. his voice was just amazing... he could sing anything I think but Opera.. lol... He also knew how to make a song arrangement... he never wrote any of his songs but he made songs his own. I'm old.. I was 10 yrs old when this man passed.. but my Mama still raised me on him.. Now I'm in my 50's and have to say.. still love every song I hear. He just had that IT factor.. lol.. can't be denied.
Warner Brothers have discovered a load of never before reels from. this and On Tour, of rehearsals and performances. If that weren't enough Elvis excitement Baz Luhrmann is going to be putting it all together, can't wait!

It is as if all you hear when he performs comes out of him. The guitars, the drums, the backups. They are individuals yes but he draws out of them what he wants. If pay attention to the audience in his live performances there is either great enthusiasm or one could hear a pin drop. He pulls us into him and what a thrilling ride. He cannot be imitated nor replaced. Sure thank God for gifting him to us. He has brought me through much in my 70 years . Great reaction! Please keep sharing

I thought i noticed him starting the second verse incorrectly and quickly switched to the correct verse so smoothly one hardly notices it. Such a professional does not let that affect the rest of the performance. Another good one thanks
Yes at about 3;06 he made a flub -- he was expert at just smoothly continuing on; it happened on "Jailhouse Rock" from his '68 special stand-up segment, & a couple of his other performances.

Elvis always gave 110% during his performances. I believe he was tuckered out by age 42 and being sick and still performing. God bless him. Never will be anybody like him again. Thank you so much for making my Sundays even more special.

I really love this performance! I read somewhere that The Righteous Brothers version is: two boys singing beautifully (and I love their version too!) in an innocent, nice and clean way. Elvis' version is raw powerfull masculinity - and not so innocent...

The greatest entertainer that ever lived king Elvis
I loved it!! I got to see this performance and almost all of the ones featured in TTWII in person in 1970, plus many more. He was incredibly wonderful and it was the best memories I have of those years. I even got 10 kisses as my sisters and I saw 10 shows and were in the front row every time. He talked to us and joked around, even used my handkerchief to wipe his face. During one performance of this song he had a gorilla mask on when he turned around! So much fun. The best entertainer ever and the most beautiful inside and out.❤❤❤

WOW!!! Thank you to whomever it was that suggested that. What a performance! It is such raw masculinity. Such a powerful performance. He is so immersed in this song. He certainly didn't leave anything in the tank at the end of a performance. You can see the way he leans back in some songs, just how deeply engrossed he is in the song, but from this performance he had such a playful side to him, and he could throw in such silly little bits here and there. Such a shame he left so soon. There really is no talent like him anymore, with all the technology that the current singers use in a performance. With him, what you saw was what you got! Thanks for this one Nick!

I feel like this performance may have been featured in the Elvis movie with Austin Butler. The real performance with Elvis though is out of this world.

Happy Sunday morning at 5:40 a.m. from here in NY. Thank goodness you have the good version w-the raspiness & crack in his voice @ beginning; someone stupidly & inconsiderately deleted it & it sounds terrible -- why anyone would want to delete part of Elvis' natural singing voice is beyond comprehension. Anytime i recommend it or notice someone recommending it w-no link i always make sure to specify which one to watch -- it makes a big difference. You looked like you were going to burst w-pleasure. It is amazing how he picked musicians, backups, etc. who all melded & blended together so well that i don't believe there was anyone before or is anyone to this day who sounded or sounds so perfect as they all did together. It's so nice to see how much attention you pay -- some reactors are so busy talking or stopping a video that they miss out on the little things he did, such as "if this suit wasn't so tight" -- he was very funny & clever.
Loved this performance and his humour in the middle was the cream on top!
Have often wondered about other CZcamsrs, as have seen that whole stopping and starting thing and more often than not they don’t have too much to say. My guess is it’s so they can get the views without getting stung with the copyright if the song is broken into these mini segments. Personally I want to enjoy the performance as much as the people who are kind enough to press play on one of my videos do. I’ve even had people tell me off in the past for talking over bits of it, so I’ve always put the original link for the video in my description. I get a non monetisation flag for copyright on these each and every week, but the money isn’t why I’m doing them, it’s the enjoyment! 😎
@@PopularTripeNickWhat i never understood about this copyright thing is how some reactors say they have to pause for copyright reasons; then there are those who explain that the video is very faded or covered in raindrops for copyright reasons; then there are people like yourself who run through an entire video w-no stopping, no covering it up, etc. & never seem to have an issue. No, you absolutely do not talk too much - you actually barely talk at all & it so low that it is barely audible. I just watched a reactor who stopped a video so much after about every 2 lines of the song & spent the time talking about his dog that i almost wanted to "pull an Elvis" & shoot my computer -- i had to stop watching.
Oh my! 😂😂 Oh I do get hit with copyright every week, so all monies I’m guessing go to the estate/record companies, but doing these, as long as they take to record and edit etc, was for me, never for any money or recompense, it’s for the fun of it. 🙏

I've seen the restored 1976 new year concert ( they put all the films, made by fans, together) and I was positively surprised. He had so much fun and gave his fans an ecstatic performance.

Once again, it's a cover but sounds nearly like a different song. People can try to discredit him all they want for not being a songwriter. He broke a piece of material down and did his own version every time. Little do they realize that on top of being perhaps the biggest global pop cultural icon, he was also a performer, musician, composer, conductor....you all get where I'm going. It's endless and Elvis is timeless. PEACE!

Fantastic video, especially in hi def! One quibble; not quite "perfect"- early on Elvis flubs two lines: he croaks "No tenderness" and starts to repeat the first verse when singing the second (it is live after all). Even Kings are human. But one he gets past that he kicks it into hi gear and gives a memorable, powerful performance.

I love the Righteous Brother version I grew up on it but this one is a whole other feeling more raw and gritty! Just wished he'd leave out the silly lyrics of his tight suit so you can just enjoy that voice and the buildup without him being a smart ass❤😂!
I would recommend this short but bittersweet version of a song he recorded in 1970. But here is a shortened and live version that he didnt start to perform live until 1977. He only performed this song 11 times, and all in 1977. And i think he did it great:
