Invasions are so bittersweet to me, because on the one hand, invasion where people don’t strike the fear of god into me with magic shenanigans or backstabs is really fun, but on the other band leave me alone man I only have 2 stones left! I’m tryna vibe with my friends! I will say though, when invaders come into my game and aren’t immediately dickheads I’ll never understand ganking. Like if someone invades you and they bow, you 1v1 them, or 1 summon at a time leading up to you the player or some shit, its such a lame pissbaby move to return a lighthearted duel with fucking gangrape
Yea I know what you mean, now if I invade someone and they are far in an area, and look new I would just leave them be and log off. If they choose to attack ill fight em. The worst ganks are the ones that sit at invasions spawn point and as soon as you spawn you get hit by 3 firestorms
And of course souls series casuls still pulling out the cable if going to lose in pvp
I'm still of the opinion that disconnecting during an invasion should lead to instant death without bloodstain.

@@ultimatekayozz Constant DCs in an online game isn't just your issue. If your connection fizzles each other minute, maybe you should consider some other game/offline play. Besides, it's not that common to DC for the vast majority of people.

@@qwormuli77 bruh, do you still play DS III by any chance? 90% of the time I try any online sessions I get disconnections, it's not my fault either since any other online game works fine, besides why the hell would you take invasions so seriously it's not a tournament, disconnections on purpose are anoying but there are far worse things in online mode that are way more common in these games.I get that if people don't want to get invaded they should play offline but they probably want to play in coop aswell and to my knowledge there aren't any ways to protect yourself from being invaded while doing coop except in DS II.
@@Tacticaviator7 Invasions are the counter for cooping. The vast majority DC’s are because of pulling the plug, how come they always dc when they suddenly lose their teammates?

User Gang Weed asked me several times if could make a video on the penetrating sword, so here it is. My thoughts on this weapon always try to pair with some kind enchant/ buff because it's raw damage is low.
Be very careful using it, due to its length it is very easy to get parried using it. I will be working on my next video, in the mean time enjoy this video. While I sort out the clips its gonna be very interesting stay tuned for more to come

Invading seems so easy right now, noone knows how to play

For fucks sake everyone, the reason he didn't take damage in the backstab was because this game has a problem with that, especially with lag, he rolled as the guy stabbed him, which cancels stab damage at times. Poor guy had to answer so many comments lol. No, he isn't cheating.
Hi I have a question about Demons Souls, are shields mandatory? I don't like turtling and prefer to go 2 handed only like I did in Dark Souls 3. Great video!
I have never used shields to block, just for parrying so yea your best way is just go 2hand on some weapons

From software should try and make some kind of protection system against repeat disconnects, especially when they happen just after phantom deaths or with low health. I understand the issues with cheat protection however this is a problem that is actually reasonably addressed.
After the patch where you get more repeat players I've come across so many people whose internet works as long as they're winning and the second you kill their phantom their internet magically goes off.
No wonder why they call it the PENETRATING sword if it was that Long
Great upload 👏 Im still playing this game off line as no internet, im on ng + 20 😂 Im a temple knight and are Rocking the penetrator Armour, im trying the Sword yet its very poor damage and the only good thing is the Thrust Attack so im woundering whats the best weapon to team up with the armour 🤔 iv all the weapons yet cant seam to find one that im really comfortable playing with to suit my game style, The big boy bone crusher i hate with a passion, The Regalia i cant get on with either, The meat Cleavers not bad S scaling yet im 💩 at using it 😔

I've heard that it has a similar damage multiplier on criticals to fatal weapons. Can anyone confirm? That would make it a lot cooler than just having a suspiciously strong 1hr2.
Was your sword fully upgraded?
don't upgrade it the damage doesn't go up not worth spending the colorless souls on it, specially if you are doing sl 20-30 pvp. It might be better at higher levels but at that point there are so many weapons that could do better

Exactly what I saw. This dude most likely using a trainer online, or the rare instance that lag happened at the exact time as he rolled and caused the animation to happen but since he dodged it, no damage was taken.

The weapon requires 22 strength and 16 dex was SL 29 I used sticky white slime which you can farm a bunch b4 storm king boss or enchant weapon. The weapon has very low raw damage around 120 so cursed weapon may not be that good for it, but I haven't tried I might be wrong.

it will take sometime to get the weapon, its after the penetrator boss or people say you can find it in 1-3 but I never was able to

When im invading in 1-4 and I see the person killing the Blue Dragon. I wont kill them. That's such a time sink and I'd feel bad. Also, if they beg hard I won't kill them cause I'm a softie. But then again I'm trash lol. I win 50% of the invasions.
Yea I do the same thing, if Isee a player struggling using a bow to get through areas I just leave, or if they don't attack or do anything aswell

Is this a good PvE weapon?
The base damage is 90, upgrading only improves the scaling damage, even then it's beaten by basic weapons like the longsword, broadsword, and short sword in terms of base damage and scaling(and that's without the Quality infusion). Its best features are the length, and the thrust attack.

I've been pondering what weapon to use if I ever get the game. On my first play through of the original, I used the Meat Cleaver, which seems appealing. At the same time, I want to use Hiltless with cursed weapon. For the meme, I've also thought about using the regular Great sword, but it's pretty late into the game so I'm not too sure about it. I would lean towards Hiltless for the time being I guess

Either tech toggles or just didnt register cause he had just pressed roll so was in the rolling I-frames on his clientside?
Idk how demon souls rework and netcode is set up to give an accurate reason.
To put it simply, if you get backstabbed the moment you roll, the i-frames from the roll continue during the backstab animation which leads to the opponents backstab to deal no damage. I hoped this helped.

With the 3d audio and controller you can almost predict your surroundings. Backstabs are far easier to get with lock on, its hard to explain you will have to try the game urself to see what I mean

THE GAME HAS ISSUES WITH BACKSTABS SPECIALLY IF YOU ROLL AND SOMEONE BACKSTABS YOU, THE GAME WILL CONSIDER YOUR ROLL FIRST EVEN THOUGH THE BACKSTAB ANIMATION GOES THROUGH
I'd appreciate if you spent sometime looking at other pvp videos from different content creators before you come and accuse me of cheating. I am sure everyone has the same issue
It's called a backstab cancel. It's a glitch (tech) carried forward from the original game. This remake has all the jank from the original.
iirc, basically, a well timed roll, will cancel the backstab damage.
There are other pvp glitches (tech) in this game similar to Dark Souls 1 as well
Things like:
Toggle escapes
Spell cancelling
Pushlock infinites
Dead angles
Etc.
It's poor form to accuse a guy of cheating without knowing how the game actually works. And from what I've read here, he didn't intentionally use this glitch either, he just rolled at the right time by accident.

Sadly no. It's damage output is very low & must be upgraded using colorless souls, a very rare material.
Even if fully upgraded almost all other weapons out class Penetrator.
Which is made worse by the fact that you get it so late in the game.

Low level pvp it is okay, expect arounnd 130-140 dmg unbuffed but wouldnt be good at high level

To Co-op PvE but invaders call you gankers I was co oping in dark souls 3 and some dude kept invading my friends and I who are just playing together but we kept killing him and he called us gankers. Also the penetrator sword does rather bad damage, and the only thing that is better than other swords is the r2. He used an enchant and it still did -meh- damage, and you get it rather late game. Recommend somthing else

Fun fact, there are 3 tiers of thrust multipliers for the straight sword one handed strong attack. Of course Penetrator has the highest, than swords that mention their thrust attacks as being strong (long sword and short sword) and swords that don’t really say anything (like broad sword) being the weakest.

If you pay attention, he rolls just before getting caught by the backstab animation; the other player probably still could backstab him because on his side he wasn't rolling, so the backstab animation occurs, but because the red phantom rolled he was in his invulnerability frames, so the result is a backstab with no damage.

It's not lag it's a thing you can do in demons with a well timed roll, avoid all backstab damage

The game has issues with backstab if you roll and someone backstabs you at the same time frame, that will be the result, I uploaded a video today of all the buggy backstabs, you can look at it and see for yourself
