    Hate to say it but its literally impossible to avoid micro plastics. They are everywhere, in you, in your food and water, in nature, even in freshly fallen snow in Antarctica

    This advice is horrible. First of all larger fish are universally understood to bioaccumulate far-greater concentrations of heavy metals, second for the Formaldehyde warning just open a damn window and much of the acute concerns are erased

    • @Haruki-_
      @Haruki-_ Před 3 měsíci +2

      Not only that but larger fish eat smaller fish, like how salmon mostly feasts on shrimp which are bottom-feeders.

    • @teage12
      @teage12 Před rokem +14

      Landfill... Such an american way of thinking.
      There should be waste incineration plants that properly burn the waste that can't be properly recycled. (And recycling means REALLY make new products out of the old ones)
      Landfills should never be there. Ever.

    • @shrekonion8307
      @shrekonion8307 Před rokem +9

      @@teage12so put all the garbage in the atmosphere instead? As you can see, we dont have an easy solution for all that waste

    • @teage12
      @teage12 Před rokem +4

      @@shrekonion8307 well, of course there is.
      Look at other countries, mostly in the EU.
      - Reuse whatever you can (banning all shitty single-use-packaging) and make it a pant system insteas
      - recycle whatever you can (actual recycling! Not what americans call recycle)
      For example collect all plastics, paper, metals etc. Separately
      - burn whatever you can't use (and replace oil/gas/coal with it
      American landfills are actually a treasure of resources, it's just cheaper to get it fresh. But as they are also toxic wasteland, it should be done to try to reduce them as soon as possible.

    • @cheese7119
      @cheese7119 Před 11 měsíci +8

      @@teage12I've heard that only 20 percentage of the recyclable stuff actually gets recycled :( and the whole recycle thing has been encouraged and pushed by the oil companies together with the personal environmental footprint in order to deflect from their guilt in polluting the atmosphere :(

    SEE!!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED
    ITS SO LAME that everyone doesn’t understand that it is Easy!!
    You start with you immediately
    Then help neighbors and family
    WE can do it together 4R.
    It’s starts with ME!!
    😮 to have a livable planet and food to eat.
    We’ve got to change immediately. Go Solar.
    The tiny suburb of Farmers Branch, Tx built themselves a 20 acre Solar Farm over an old landfill that will power their community of if us in Texas have another failure this year. I think the energy director said he had to find a way to prevent that from happening to them Ever Again
    I hope Communities are smart and switch to renewable energy. ITS BEEN A HOAX. It’s really better for the Planet.
    Do your part!!! There are some great Federal and other Grants for Everyone. The Pres. Wants us All to Go Green and Save the World !!!
    So cool!!!
    We can do it!
