- What better way celebrate our nation contury, but with the railroads. Footage are Pentrex, Steam Train Video, Railway Productions, GRSJ, Green Frog, and Building of the 119 & Jupiter. Also including railroad footage from Rock Island, New York Central, and Grand Canyon Railway.

It’s amazing how a lot of these preservation trains have a Diesel engine on the front to provide the dynamic brakes and maybe help on hills but besides that they offer no support so basically the steam loco is pulling the diesel loco AND the train itself.Truly amazing!

Railfan Owen my most favorite steam locomotives are number 611 J Class 4-8-4 built by the Norfolk & Western Railroad and GS4 Lima built 4-8-4 number 4449 which is the Southern Pacific Daylight is my other favorite steam locomotive, both still pull excursion trains.

Great railroad video with the right song, and the opening is ofthe Norfolk & Western J Class streamlined 4-8-4 number 611 which is one of the most beautiful streamlined steam locomotives that was ever built and it was built in the Norfolk & Western railroads Roanoke, Virginia shops. The Norfolk & Western was the king of steam locomotives.

I did got to see Norfolk & Western 611 at the Strasburg Railroad back in September 5th 2021, along with Norfolk & Western 475.
