[MHW:I PC] Fatalis Longsword Solo 07'31''98 | Freestyle + No Heroics

I haven't played MHW much in the past months since I just don't have time to invest on the game at the moment.
However I decided to play for a little bit today and happen to get an above average run.
Nothing special, lots of mistake as always but just wanted to share!

But keep in mind speedruns like these are just a snapshot of what players have to grind to reach a time goal.
I think I've reset / attempted this quest about 6000+ times and my runs are still behind 15 - 30 seconds the current fastest / potentially fastest kill time.
At a certain point, it is mostly player vs. monster AI RNG.

Can you help me with something? When I flinch shot him he is always too far away for me to foresight the roar and then go to a helmbreaker, even if im really close to a wall his body just goes far

You have to flinch shot him on the right side of his head.
If you do it on the left side of his head, you'll get launched far from the boss to Foresight.

how are you getting so much damage on those attacks and helm breaks? At most I see ~150-200 on my Helm Break tics when I have Agitator 6 and Attack Boost 7 using Fatalis LS

I originally wanted to speedrun other monsters in Iceborne but speed running Fatalis kind of broke me LMAO.
I knew getting fast times took A LOT of tries but never realized how much time it really took if you're really trying to go for World Record / near World record times.
So for now I think I am done but I might attempt some monster in Rise: Sunbreak when it comes out!

Song of the ancient, a man of culture, but why you are not running with heroics i personally do with heroics and i think you easily have the potential

I love Nier's sound track :v)
I don't do heroics as a personal choice.
I think Freestyle + No Heroics (without Smoke Bomb abuse) is more difficult than Heroics runs because Heroics runs usually require Smoke Bomb abuse to get free Healmbreakers off and that just doesn't sound fun to me.
Although I do think Heroics runs are probably less frustrating to do because you eliminate a lot of RNG with Smoke Bomb.
