- Hey guys,
Put together a video of my buddys 2014 Dodge Viper GTS with a newly installed F series procharger supercharger. The car has high flow cats and a corsa Catback exhaust. Let me know why you guys think. This is one bad Bi*ch!!
That sounds amazing! its like theres actual viper hissing under the hood :D
My experience with “high-flow cats” for the Viper is that fail pretty quick. Obviously it depends on the tuning, but I had same exhaust system as you, no supercharger but custom tuned among a few other things. ~1 year later, the cats melted and caused the exhaust to burst at the cats. Not huge deal, just had them cut out and added straight pipe, but it clearly effected horsepower with reduced flow.
Sick car! 👍
I will let him know!

Amazing kit I love Dodge Viper I have a few so yes I'm all for American muscle 💪 cars ❤❤❤❤❤
Centrifugal blowers sound so damn good. Arguably better than turbos
That’s a mean mighty-flyin’ Mopar !!!❤❤
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Looks awesome!!! Guess you are a Smooth criminal (alien ant farm).
No way you think alien ant farm wrote that song
I love this car so much!!. Great
Awesome car. Judging by the location of the engine compared to the wheels this is a mid engine car isn't it?
I'm seriously confused by a few things.
It is stated in the video that the car dyno'd @ 680rwhp. Was that correct?
1) A stock Gen5 Viper makes 640hp. Perhaps that's BHP, but still...that ProCharger should have added a lot more... and the stock ecu can't handle 40 extra hp? That seems bizarre.
2) The F1-X is a serious power upgrade. How is this car not pushing 900-1000hp?
Fantastic car, nonetheless. But I'm puzzled by these numbers.
Stock viper makes between 530-550 rwhp from the factory depending on the dyno. My friends made in the area of 680, which is between 130-150 rwhp increase. He did take it back to the dyno tuner to have some further things dialed in and I believe it is just shy of 700 rwhp now. It is only on a few pounds of boost and the ecu was changed because the factory one would not support the custom tuning needed.
The size of the pulley on that supercharger has it out of it's efficiency range. I have a 97 viper GTS with a Paxton Novi supercharger (not as big as his f1x) and it makes 730 at the rear wheels on 10psi. Second gen vipers usually made 440whp stock vs his gen 5 was probably around 560-575whp stock.
@@jameslee4328 sure 10 psi…
This dudes on 5.5 which is damn near half psi compared to yours.
If he went 10 psi and larger injectors, fuel pumps, he’d easily hit 900whp
I have the same one….. in NFS
That boy sounds epicc bruh
It’s a beast
Thank you
This is my dream car hands down… oml
Same lol
He
Finding a pair of replacement headlights cost 10-12k alone because they don't make em anymore.
Just right not too much just enough
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey bud I’m curious why would you do this to make 680. I make 660rwhp on my Gen 4 coupe. Nth moto heads/cam/FBO/3.55/Gen 5 IM…..I was looking to add a F1X and take it to 1000+ and wanted to see what driving was like , how the power compares to others
It’s my buddy’s ride not mine. I think he had it re-dyno’d and change the tune a little and he’s just over 700 now. Think it’s pretty decent for stock motor
@@pfmustang is car foor sell
Dream
Same lol
How’s the car doing?
ouch ... and here people getting 100+ with a tune alone, that motec alone is like 8 grands smh
No viper gains 100hp off of a tune. More like 25-30hp. He gained about 140-150 rwhp with the setup and that’s on the lowest amount of boost possible.
Would you get a rear wing for this ride?
I told him to
Did the procharge build cost more or less than getting heads and cam??.. I'm asking cause imma buy 5th gen Viper for my bday . Trying go with the cheapest option for more power...
Probably around 35k for the whole thing including the supercharger kit, ecu, exhaust, tune and install
🤣🤣🤣🤣 cheapest option for power
Sounds just like my stock 2014 Viper GTS. 🤣
🥶 🧊
OLALA
What shop installed the Procharger and Motec?
Havic Performance he's known for vipers
@Topofthelinetommy Thanks I'll look them up, I'm in the Midwest and looking for a shop to work on my Gen 5.
@cbutler4645 people ship their car to him all the time.
@topofthelinetommy i can’t find the place where are they located
@@combustionkai I couldn't find them either. I'll probably just end up shipping mine to Nth Moto.
Build cost?
Toooooo much
I’m guessing easily over 200k if you include the car
Too much money for an average car lmao
