Thank you, a good try! I never been a fan for this event, but it is so important to people and tradition. My first time at the Morgenstreich, I was surprised that “outsiders” do not dress up in costumes 🥴, only kids ... ( some carnival) and you have not easy a place to eat or drink something if you are tourist. I find this really unpleasant.

hab niemals überlegt oder bin draufgekommen das wenn beim morgenstreich die lichter ausgestellt werden basel als lichtverschmutzung vom schwarzwald aufgehoben wäre und vll paar sterne mehr zu sehen wären :D dang wenn in 100 jahren mal wieder fastnacht ist muss ich mal dran denken LUL AHAHHAHAHAH was ich ich hier um 3 :33 HAHAHAHAHAHAH 33 wieder illuminati confirmed LUL
Carnival has been cancelled for 2021 due coronavirus
Not completely true. The "classical" fasnacht has been cancelled. But the organisators (www.fasnachts-comite.ch/) have proposed to the public if they have any ideas how carry out fasnacht in a different and corona "friendly" way. So not completely lost yet.
@@denkweisend thats right but I dont know if you was born in Basel or wheter if you grew up with Fasnacht but if you cancel the „morgestraich“ and parade (cortege) you have to cancel everything because it is not the same at all...
hey ich hatte auch an tagen mit plakette ganzen sack konfetti überbekommen LUL AHAHA und andere tage wo ich keine hatten gabs fast nichts :D die geizigen schwizzzzzer LUL sind ja schlimmer wie die schwaben :D ich erinner mich noch ein mal mit plakette alle taschen voller blutorangen usw :D andere tag fast nichts :D
Wie du weisst, tragen Fasnächtler eine Larve mit nur kleinen Löchern für die Augen. Man sieht also nur was direkt in Blickrichtung in einem kleinen Sichtfeld ist. Ausserdem ist es meist sehr hektisch und man sieht jede Person nur wenige Sekunden. Da wird es schon schwierig bei jeder Person noch fest zu stellen ob sie mit oder ohne Blaggedde da ist. Generell ist es daher kein klares Schutzkriterium. Das einzige Kriterium, dass einen vor Räppli schützt ist ein Kostüm - doch das hat man als Zivilist eigentlich nicht an.
