The HARDEST Hike in my LIFE: Hochgall Circuit

A few notes:
1. There is basically no real trail from Magerstein to the bottom of Hochgall, or at least I didn't see many signs. you can bring crampons and hike down the glacier (be careful) or scramble down the rocks on the side of the glacier (not fun).
2.the track goes through Rifugio Roma - Kasseler Hütte, I hiked off-trail from the bottom of Hochgall to where the river is to save some time. Not a good idea, better to hike through the hut as the terrain is difficult to hike and you don't really save time.
3. if you want to split the itinerary in 3 days, you can sleep at Kasseler Hütte - Rifugio Roma the first night, and at Barmer Hutte 2nd night. still a very long 2nd day though so keep it in mind.

this is definitely the hardest and longest mountain trip I have ever filmed.
A 40km 4274m D+ circuit around (and summiting) Hochgall (3436m) the highest peak in the Riesenferner Gruppe - Vedrette di Ries, South Tyrol.
Starting from Anthorzer See - Lago di Anterselva, I spent 2 days exploring this incredible area, sleeping on a very tight spot on the ridge to Hochgall (no idea how I managed to sleep) and enjoying Dolomites and Austrian Alps from a different perspective.

Hi Bruno. That's amazing! Vor einigen Jahren habe ich diese Tour fast genau so gemacht. Nur ohne Hochgall. Aber auch Outdoor im Schlafsack am Malersee und am Lenkstein. Einfach grandios! Danke für deine super Aufnahmen. Das bringt mir viele Erinnerungen zurück.

Un giro del genere non è per tutti! Bisogna essere allenati fisicamente ma soprattutto con la testa! Su questa bella piattaforma che è CZcams sappiamo bene che, uno dei pochi che riesce a gestire questi dislivelli e questi chilometri sempre con il sorriso stampato in faccia, sei tu quindi complimenti davvero Bruno! Hey Bruno! Wow, what an amazing trip, 40 kilometers and 4300 meters elevation? Incredible. Loved the quality of the video, the shots, the drone images, also the music this time was awesome, and what to say about the Dolomites "on fire". But what I always enjoy a lot with these two-days trips, is the contagious ENERGY with your IU-JU-JU-JU-JÚ!!! every time you reach a top. It makes me smile so much, because I understand the feeling of accomplishment and happiness. Great work, Bruno, can't wait to see more :)

Love the hike...looks challenging. I will look at all the info on Gaia at some point. I an in the Smokies and do the sort of thing you do there, here....but it is not as rugged here as the Dolomites. I love the beauty of your mountains and hope to get there in the next two years for some adventures. The footage is amazing. We work with the 7th graders I teach on flying drones and I show them your footage as an example of the best nature drone footage I know of. Your footage right after fifth peak is amazing. I love all your descriptions of the hikes too. Thanks for all your videos.
