    I noticed that the order of words isn’t the same as English, but extremely similar to the French order, as a native French speaker, it’s gonna be a lot easier now!

  • @anyaramshorn
    @anyaramshorn Před 2 lety +9

    Love the way you teach!! I’m learning this as an English speaker who’s a native Portuguese speaker and it just makes so much sense to me that you have two words for “where”! So does Portuguese. Our word for “Var” is “Onde” and our word for “Vart” is “Aonde”, which in English would basically be “Where” and “Where to”. And we also have our very own “varifrån” which is “de onde”.

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  Před 2 lety +1

      Wonderful! That is exactly right!
      The more languages you know, and you can draw connections from, the easier other languages become.

      The point is people completely don't care about this rule of onde and aonde in Portuguese lol. We say onde in situations where we should say aonde to the point where it's completely ok nowadays to say onde in all situations.

    • @Nubbe999
      @Nubbe999 Před 3 lety +2

      Not 100% sure but (inte helt säker men)...
      Bruka = att använda något (bruka jorden or han brukar hammaren på rätt sätt)
      Ofta = något händer återkommande/ gång på gång (jag kör ofta för fort)
      Brukar = något hände återkommande / gång på gång (jag bruka köra för fort men nu kör jag lagligt)

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  Před 3 lety

      Great question!
      The main difference is that "ofta" is an adverb. Something that modifies the verb.
      Ex. Something happens OFTEN.
      While "brukar" IS a verb. Better translated to "use to" or "have the habit of".
      Hope that helps :)
