The recovery from the charge attack is absolutely outrageous and I just had to come back to take full advantage of it. This ended up not just bringing more variety to the fight but also make it faster by almost 30 seconds!
This time I also made sure to not lose track of post-counter phases and kept the boss fully locked down, never allowing it to use a move that wasn't manipped.
Brutaur will always charge when you guard and it only has a single regular counter throughout the whole fight, that being Hip Stun.

Jumping over the counter and dodge was very cool! I never noticed whilst playing casually, but dang Xillia bosses can be so easily manipulated!

Xillia really turns into a whole different game when you start taking advantage of the manips, and that's one of the main attractions for me personally when it comes to soloing this game!
Just being in full control of the fights and maximizing offense while dancing around the counters is so engaging and fun!
