The badge system is really well done, it makes players actually have to SACRIFICE certain ratings and badges so we can have DIVERSITY in terms of different builds, just subbed nice vid mayne

2k finishing has always revolved around dunking, in the league there are many great finishers who are not high flyers. Will this be incorporated in this years 2k? Basically will I be able to have a good, driving layup and close shot and maybe not as high of a driving dunk and still be able to get finishes?
Just turn off dunks if u don’t wanna dunk lol 💀. Acrobatic finisher and all them finishing badges are still there. U can make a kyrie build easily
I hope so. There's something I love about crafty pgs that can do ridiculous finishes at the rim but are not dunking that often or almost never. Would love to be able to make a player like that this 2k
@@PrincexDC been able to do it every year its just obv the meta to get a 3 over a 2 so nobody makes layup builds
@@PrincexDC Pretty difficult this year. Big centers (and sometimes only 6'9"s) get a ton of blocks on lay up attempts. I'm not saying whether it needs to be tweaked or not, but JUST layups on a build us tough, unless you're floating it or pump faking under the rim, imo.

Truthfully I’m glad the badges are like this. The game has been badged based for so long. Tired of badges running the game. Focus on your attributes and use skill
it became badge based when they decided to add handles for days. other then that you could hop on any non dribbling build and still be decent in park or rec

@@emmanuelbaah9225 agree 2K20 is when it really became badge based. Badges took over the game. Players with a 50 3 ball could shoot consistently just because you could get extra badge points which allowed you to have gold shooting badges. This new badge system is what the game needed.

I think this makes the game more realistic like as of you have different tiers and there not all hall of fame but you can get to there and the balance seems the as of what 19 had and the build names new to

on one hand, i’m glad this is happening because i hated those small pg who could do everything and block me and then shoot from half court but it’s also kinda weird because i had those crazy builds who could do everything.
i was a 6’7 sf, like a lebron build, who did everything and i stuck with it since the beginning . but oh well.
Yeah, I like the builds that drop quintuple doubles in MyCareer, racks up stupid money and fame. Put on some insane dunking skill and you rack fame up even faster, making faster progress with sponsors, and getting more incentives per contract. Idk, never been much for the head to head stuff, people usually got those OP builds I can't compete with lol.

For real! Big's are my go-to for when I want to chill and maybe play with friends and help them with inbounds/outlets etc. I always appreciate a good battle of bigs in Rec against another big that knows how to space, box out and rebound correctly. I'll take a solid 15pt/10rb/5blk & asst A+ game in Rec all day.

Noticing the ball handling, incoming Greek Freak build that will dominate. His size with wing span was such a problem to try to mimic, until now. Going to be interesting seeing how a ball handling big man with bully badge going to look like.. 😂.. ty Joe for content.
Facts but don't forget that build is going to use all his points for ball handle and finishing. Which means theoretically it won't be able to shoot and it won't be able to play defense and rebound.

I had a Giannis build in 2k20 that was disgusting. Ridiculous dunks. W downhill rim protector and all that shit. He could guard perimeter and down low. Downhill was dumb cheese I could just run and dunk on everyone. Or kick out. Rec center was literally like 40 pints 15 boards 7 assists on 90 fg% with like 4 blocks

with the badge points its safe to assume 2k is going to do the same thing as last year and put badge points as level up rewards each season.... plus they may also do the same thing they did last year and give extra badges in career that alot of people missed cause they went directly to the park.

We dont even know if its balanced. Cuz what if an expensive badge does nothing while other cheaper badges do everything. That usually is the issue.

I like the badge tiers cus instead of having to nerf and buff badges , they can move and change their tiers , which I imagine is easier to quick patch
if they do that people are gonna complain bc they put money into a build that would now have completly different values, i doubt theyd be changing badge tiers and values
@@1212maurice you don't have to necessarily change the attribute value to get the badge. Just change the tier and how many badge points it'll take to get it. I think that's what he's saying.

I feel like the builds will end up feeling most like 2k19 builds. I hope so, they felt really balanced and if 2k can incorporate the freedom of the 2k22 builder a little it could end up being a great game. And my career is all about the builder.

But remember, something worth noting, you’re putting all your points towards your Finishing/Ball Handling. Essentially , that means that you won’t be able to play defense at all, nor grab rebounds efficiently. Also you won’t able to shoot at all. Don’t jump the gun and make a mistake bro. Actually take your time making the build. You don’t wanna take that build to the park thinking you’re gonna dominate everyone, then next thing you know, you’re getting bullied by a big man posting you up.
@@iLoskii i made the build without shooting. Definitely not going to get bullied in the paint. Elite defense and finishing and great playmaking for 6’11 245 lbs, (78 pass accuracy, 70 ball handle). And I’ll be using double slasher takeover for the insane attribute boosts. I know having no shooting is a big sacrifice but with my play style I’ll be extremely effective. I also plan on making a more shooting oriented defensive big man to switch it up

Honestly I hope small forwards aren’t broken because if there’s different tiers for different positions then that means you can make it at 6:10 power forward and get a hold of a rebound chaser for less badge points than the center would but also you can get handle for days cheaper than the guards we get it

@@terrancejackson8455 but because the difficulty is easy on park/mycareer and not HOF like in real life 😂 We getting tired of averaging 50 ppg on mycareer and having a high-ass field goal percentage as a PG on park & my career which is unrealistic
They make players for the park and not my career that’s why players are limited.. They need to separate the two.. Cause the players we’re creating are no more than a 85 realistically.
